And your rhetoric is exactly the same one some people had after Native Americans witnessed Nordic Europeans settling in the US. At first it was just a few Europeans arriving, some Native Americans resisted but many welcomed the trade, technology, culture, and religion. They couldn't care less if the Ohio valley turned more European, as long as the Europeans supported them against opposing tribes. Soon more Europeans came, and before they knew what was happening they lost all their land.

Don't be so naive. There's nothing wrong with maintaining cultural and ethnic hegemony. No one would have expected WASPs to yield the entire country to Italians, Polish, Jews, etc.
