Dems have been in control of NJ since 2004. I have lived here 30. Highest property taxes in the country, very high car insurance. I’m still paying 56% school taxes and my youngest has been out of HS for over 16 years. If I move out of state,
NJ hits me with an exit tax. I will give credit and say that the tax folks currently in charge of administering my local property taxes have kept increases at a minimum over the last 4-5 years but not without making tough decisions to consolidate county and municipal services which needs to done throughout the state. Example. When I first moved here there were at least 7 different police departments within a 5-7 mile radius serving 7 small towns. Now there are 4. I still very safe in my community. I can’t vote in Cape May County but if I could, I think you know which way I would go.
