Oh right, and I believe Seattle is a very cold place, maybe why they used to play so much grunge there to stay warm. Even in the mountains here, being outside on a winter night, could become a death sentence, for these people and their CHILDREN. Think it’s appropriate to point out that Ayn Rand lived out her last days on social security and medicare.

I understand that people might object to their HARD EARNED TAX DOLLARS being wasted on spongers like Ayn Rand, but the future can be strange sometimes. Maybe it’s not a good idea to stamp out every single form of state-sponsored poor relief, because, y’know, you might need it yourself someday.

They act like Seattle is the first US city to halt winter evictions. Plenty of cities in the northern states have had such a policy for decades, policies often instituted because the alternative was quickly becoming violence by the broke and jobless or merely underpaid and overburdened against the landlords for kicking them out in the cold.

I was a victim of winter eviction as a 6 year old, in Alaska. It was fucking terrifying.

I hope they DONT get evicted this winter, because no one deserves to freeze, not even heartless Ticks like these two.
