I think there are two races: Adam's race and Christ's race of new creatures. (And we ought to marry within our own race)

To me this looks like his idea of two races is based on whether or not one is "saved"; the parenthetical remark, then, has less to do with actual race than with fundie Christians marrying non-fundies. (Meaning this should be on FSTDT, not RSTDT).
