This whole over turning of Prop 8 thing...

Does this make it official that it's no longer a democracy or was that an obvious a long time ago?

It's all very, very sad. And the knowledge that such sin, as with any sin, will cause them to burn in hell for all eternity only makes it sadder.

The parade is heart wrenching, like mindless livestock headed to the slaughter. You just want to call them back! But they don't listen, they think because the way feels united and strong, it must be good. They're so pleased, as if they affect or change truth, as if they won't really burn in hell because the way is favorable now. They could, and might win every political battle, but they still lose.

Ugh, pro-gay think what makes us sick is some fear. That's not it, nobody's scared of a fool in bondage. What's sickening more than the sin, is the lost soul, that we, through whoever we may be connected to, have failed in some way to convey how wonderful God is. So much so that they choose rather tortuous spirits.

Someone I know, had something similar happen. His daughter was dead. She wasn't breathing. She had been sick and she was an infant. He laid her on the bed and prayed while the ambulance was on the way. By the time it got there she was alive again and the illness that made her quit breathing was gone. They took the baby to the hospital to check her out but she was fine and they let her go home that night. She had been dead for something like 15 minutes.

[In response to a news article posted about the National Secular Society giving out De-Baptism certificates for people renouncing their faith.]

Gingerale: That is ridiculous!

Sis: Sounds like the end of things as we know it, doesn't it?

coolguy: Good grief...It's not enough to just not go to church anymore? That's a whole new level of sinny-sinny-sin.

Question 1 - Why wont God heal amputees?

My answer - He DOES! I have witnessed a mans leg growing out before my eyes as the power of God healed him. Another man we know had his feet amputated from an accident. The Lord spoke to him and told him to go into the shoe store and pick out a pair of shoes...........any size. He did. The Lord then told him to put his stumps into the shoes and as he did, new feet grew into the shoes. God is indeed a miracle worker, He DOES heal amputees, so this question is a moot point.

Oddly enough, it seems that most of the major scientists who believe come to a belief in God through their occupation. It seems once a person gets past a sophomoric level and begins specialization, everything they learn points to the existence of a single mind.

[On being given a link saying Hovind is wrong]

I don't beleive they were killed off before Adam! And the site you posted was not a Christian based review. In it the author said "Hovind has just used his conclusion of the Bible being literally correct as the foundation for his use of evidence from the Bible. Circular reasoning is called a logical fallacy for a good reason."

Well of course the bible is literaly correct, we shouldn't have to argue that point.

Well John, as an Ambassador of Christ, and a citizen of the Kingdom of God, I am forbidden to have any opinion or belief that goes against the Word of God. The beliefs and conclusions of this world are suspect until verified by scripture.

After diligently looking into these matters in the Word, I can see no other conclusion. The Word plainly and unequivically disagrees with the stated scientific "facts". I have to believe the Word, and so should you.

Search the scriptures to see if these things be so.

Ya know, there are tons of things in the Bible that may not be 100% clear to us. We could have discussion after discussion about it all. But, we are to walk by faith, not by sight. If everyone was to question the things that aren't clear, I have a sad feeling that not many people would be serving God right now. We'd all be doubting God. We just need to take it on Faith and know that with God all things are possible!!!!!

As I have said on many occasions, and even preached on a few occasions: I don't "believe" in God. I know him. And trust me, that distinction makes all the difference in the world. No person, and no argument - no matter how "rational" it may seem - will ever convince me that God doesn't exist. I mean, you might as well try and convince me that my wife doesn't exist! Of course she does! I don't "believe" that my wife exists. I know her! And likewise I don't "believe" that God exists. I know him!

A real, honest-to-goodness, intimate "relationship" with God is the one, sure-fire, guaranteed, stone-cold-lock way of making atheism seem like the absolute silliest thing you've ever heard.

And please forgive me, because I am not trying to put down the other JD, or anything they've posted. I guess I've just always marveled at how anyone who has truly "known" God can ever get to a point where they so much as even just consider atheism as anything even remotely approaching a possible, or viable idea. It would be like my suddenly - and seriously, no less - considering as even a possibility the idea that Katie (my wife) not only doesn't exist now, but has NEVER actually existed at all! I mean, I was just with her last night. Of course she exists!

And there's no reason to believe that Noah couldn't have taken baby "dinosaurs" with him on the ark. In fact, there's no reason to beleive that all the animals on the ark weren't babys. That would make fitting them in there a whole lot easier.

onli-one-jehovi #fundie godplace.com

God couldn't have killed off the dinosaurs - or anything else for that matter - before Adam. Scripture says death came thru Adam's sin. Therefore, no plants, no animals, no nothing died prior to Adam's disobedience. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. The dinosaurs weren't carnivorus. They grazed just like all the other animals. Remember, there was no sin. Scripture says death is the wages of sin. Have to stick with the Word and not fables or carnal suppositions.
