A black magician Vasanthi and her aide Murugayi were arrested by the Pudukkottai police on Thursday for the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Gandharvakottai. On Tuesday, the girl's father was arrested and the police said it was a case of 'human sacrifice'. The women who allegedly told the father, Paneerselvam, to carry this henious crime for his prosperity, were arrested on Thursday.

The 13-year-old was murdered on May 18 in a eucalyptus grove near her house in Nodiyur village, Gandharvakkottai.

After arresting the father and Kumar, his aide, the eight police teams led by SP Arun Sakthikumar were on the lookout for Vasanthi and Murugayi. Police sources say they were interrogated for three days by the police before their arrest.

"We wanted to find out the other places where they conducted such black magic and conducted poojas. We found out that they have duped people in other districts too like Sivagangai, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Ramnad," said a police officer.

A case has been filed under section 307 r/w 12 of POCSO, 147, 302 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

The police say they have caught all the accused in the case. One of the accused, Mookayi, the second wife of Paneerselvam, died on May 30 and the reason is being determined.

LV Subramanyam #fundie #psycho newindianexpress.com

TIRUPATI: Taking a serious view of the reports of proselytization in Tirumala and also over non-Hindu employees working in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Chief Secretary LV Subramanyam said those who were engaged in such activities should voluntarily give them up, so as not to hurt the sentiments of devotees.

He went on to add that they would not hesitate to conduct surprise inspections in the houses of endowments department employees to ensure that they were not practising any religion other than Hinduism.

Speaking to media in Tirupati on Sunday after a review meeting with TTD officials, the Chief Secretary said those who converted to other religions from Hinduism would not be allowed to continue in the service of the endowments department. “If anybody found working in the department, they would not be allowed to continue in important positions. If needed, surprise inspections will be conducted in the houses of employees to ensure they are not practising other religions,’’ he warned.

“Those non-Hindus working in the TTD should come out openly if they have the courage and leave the organisation,” he said. The antecedents of those who submitted a wrong declaration to conceal their religion for the sake of getting a job in the TTD would be checked and, if found violating rules, stern action would be taken. The Chief Secretary said printing advertisements to promote other religions on the rear side of tickets on buses to Tirumala was wrong and tantamount to serious lapse on the part of the APSRTC.

“Had the local management of the APSRTC been cautious, such incidents would not have happened,” he said and added that an inquiry was ordered into the entire episode. “Once the report is received, necessary action will be initiated,” he said.

To prevent recurrence of such incidents anywhere in the State, a State-level coordination committee would be formed shortly after discussing it with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CS explained.

Subramanyam also reviewed the arrangements for the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara, scheduled from September 2 and the maintenance of TTD museums.

Women Wearing Jeans Are Reason Behind Earthquakes: JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman

During a press conference at a local hotel in Islamabad, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman asked the Pakistani armed forces to launch a military operation against women wearing jeans all over Pakistan.

According to him, the immodesty of women is the cause behind earthquakes, inflation and other kinds of disasters.

Fazlur Rehman went on to say that a woman who is not covered like a 'sack of flour' is a mobile weapon of mass destruction for her state and that Pakistan has multitude of such nuclear missiles in all its major cities.

Rehman then blamed 'immodest women' for the Baluchistan crisis, lack of energy supply and the deteriorating security situation in Pakistan.

Fazlur Rehman was suggesting that, if these women are wrapped in sacks and kept inside homes and if the Shariah law was in place, then the Taliban brothers would not be attacking Pakistan.

Fazlur Rehman also talked about the demerits of the operation against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Justifying his angst, Fazlur Rehman said that Taliban were not Pakistan’s enemy and the forces needed to target the real enemies of Pakistan.

Providing a solution he continued saying that once Allah stops delivering his wrath via the Taliban, the economy would automatically improve through foreign investment leading to improvement in the energy situation.

Rehman then openly requested the army chief and the prime minister to openly declare war against Pakistani women and launch a military operation.

Mohammad Ashqua, Shamshad Alam, Mashaqua, Mohammad Ashaqua and other Biharis #fundie newindianexpress.com

GULBARGA: A cleric [, part of a group from Bihar looking for a hidden treasure in the 14th century Firozabad fort,] allegedly participated in the gory murder of his 18-month-old daughter in Firozabad, near here.

[...]

Five months ago, the group brought an imam from Delhi, said to be an expert in finding hidden treasures. He said there was no such treasure in the fort, and went back.

Not satisfied, they brought another imam, Mohammad Ashqua, from Bihar, in the second week of May. He claimed he could divine a treasure, and told the group it could be unearthed with the ritual sacrifice of a baby girl. The group then started looking around for a girl to sacrifice, but couldn’t find one. On May 21, they found Sadiya Ayat, a little girl playing outside her house near the Firozabad mosque.

It turned out she was the daughter of Shamshad Alam, imam of the Firozabad mosque. The group took the girl and kept her sedated in a house in Hasanapaur for three days. Alam lodged a police complaint on May 21 saying his daughter had gone missing.

[Superintendent of Police Amit] Singh said Alam was party to the conspiracy, but had not been told his daughter would be killed until the day of the sacrifice, May 24. The group allegedly told Alam he would get a big share of the treasure if he allowed his daughter to be sacrificed. Alam agreed, and was present during the killing, Singh said. Two men in the group, Mashaqua—who died in police custody on Friday—and Mohammad Ashaqua allegedly chopped Sadiya’s ears, neck and hands on the fateful day.
