I got my start working at McDonalds. That job doesn’t exist if the minimum wage is raised to $15 per hour.

Small business would be crushed by this arbitrary mandate & big business would simply automate away jobs.

Not everything that SOUNDS good is actually good in practice.

Yes those jobs will still exist.

I hate the small buisness argument. Basically it boils down to arguing small buisnesses need to underpay their employees to survive.

So she’s cheap in addition to being a Insurrectionist Plague RRRRRRRRRRRRat. I am shocked, shocked I say.

You actually think McDonalds is going to automate the preparation of their awful food? At worst, all they’ll do is raise their prices.

When you worked for them, did you think you were being adequately paid? Were you able to live on your own on that salary?

Sounds like you’re just upset you can’t keep underpaying your employees to help your bottom line.

Politicians should not be allowed to own businesses or have large investments in certain areas. That should be cause enough to cut them off from all political power. We've seen time and time again that they'll eagerly throw the rest of us under the bus if it puts money in their pocket.

They’re kinda already doing that, aren’t they? Even without raising the minimum wage. Self-checkout at stores, the things at McDonalds where you can just order and pay by yourself…hell, it’s happened throughout history. Assembly-line jobs that used to be done by people are done by robots now.

The minimum wage has been raised multiple times in history. Yet, somehow the nation somehow managed to survive "certain doom"™ each time.
