Clarence Thomas faced similar accusations with Anita Hill, who was a liar. People, of course, still believe her anyway.

Well, Congress went to some effort with Anita to make sure the person offering corroborating testimony didn't get nearly as much attention.
And I would tend to believe Thomas was a liar, independent of Anita Hill.
Bush promised to flood the Supreme Court with justices that would overthrow Roe vs. Wade.
Then Thomas said he'd never even considered the points of that legal decision... One of the more sweeping court cases of the previous century, and he had absolutely no interest in it? Bush had never even asked him for his thoughts?
Seems shady, to me.
And I think that Kavanaugh is guilty as sin. And the WH knows it. That's why they were so careful to make sure no actual FBI investigation was performed. It would have brought back the wrong answers.
Anita Hill didn't want to testify against Clarence Thomas during his confirmation hearings, but because of an earlier interview she'd had about his behaviour she was instructed to testify anyway.
There's no reason to consider her a liar. Ultimately she even scored a victory. Yes Clarence Thomas got on the Supreme Court, but because of her it's now a lot more difficult to get away with what Thomas was doing (and yes, he was).
Oh really? Could that be because there was a good chance Anita Hill was telling the truth, ditto Dr Ford? You didn't think of that, clearly because you DON'T think.
