@Vgal I'd guess that people insisting that "Nurse Foster" isn't fit to wield the power of Thor, trying to delegitimize her as a person by calling her a nurse instead of a doctor? When in Marvel Canon she's been a doctor for some time.
I admit it's a bit of a short quote with no real context, but that's what I got.
And looking at the source, that's exactly what is being said.

Jeez, what an idiot. First off, the character has existed for YEARS. Long enough to get a medical degree. So it could just be advancing the story. Nurse Chapel in Star Trek (1st two Series) was Doctor Chapel in the first movie. This can happen.
Second, even if the company that owns the character DID change the character’s backstory, it’s not fanfiction, it’s a RETCON. Retroactive continuity. They can do that, because they own the character and his/her backstory.
Third, things that ‘nobody cares about’ do not get fanfiction written. You’re just trying to be dismissive without knowing a fucking thing about the topic. A real American Party member, here.
