Paleontologists have tried to turn Archaeopteryx into an earth-bound, feathered dinosaur. But it’ not. It is a bird, a perching bird. And no amount of ‘paleobabble’ is going to change that.1

Birds ARE dinosaurs, and feathers originated at least as far down as the coelurosaurs, with the kind of feathers seen in birds seen with their sister groups in the maniraptoriformes (coelursaurs minus compsognathosauroids and tyrannosauroids).
Archaopteryx is a transitional form between Dinosaurs and Birds. It is a species of Reptile that adapted .
And adapting to new conditions/surroundings is Evolution.
So why no mention of this species in your Bible: if your 'God' is supposed to be 'Omniscient '...?!
Paleontologists have libraries full of books. They base their findings on extensive research, study, field work, laboratory hours, discussions with colleagues, counterproofing, etc. They revise their hypotheses in accordance with new findings. They don’t have any preconceived notions and no absolute truths.
You have one chapter of one 3000 year old book in ancient Hebrew which you read in a translation from 1611 in archaic English.
Hmm, whom should I trust, whom should I trust?
You can see in the Creationist movement the roots of the science and reality denialism and mistrust that blossomed into today's global warming denying, Covid denying, election fixing Republican party, perhaps soon to be the Inner Party of the USA.
We all underestimated the true harm of this movement: its destruction of critical thought and weaponization of the Dunning-Kreuger effect. Now a sufficiently large voting block to rule this country is wholly impervious to facts or reason. They will cheer the reelection of the man who killed tens of thousands of them through incompetence and lies.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
