Well, the government has finally discovered the truth. That a child does best when they are raised by a mum and dad.

What we need now is for some enterprising organisation to bring a case against the HHS on the basis that not putting a child with a mum and dad is discrimination for the child and consigning them to a second class existence.

I have been told that there are 3,000 pieces of research that backs the mum and dad scenario so if the HHS has doubts they do not need to have any.

The only thing that would stop you winning such a case is ideology. That homosexuals must not be discriminated against in any way even if it is bad for the children concerned. In other words, the wants of homosexuals override the needs of all others.

Even if there is competent research that says a child does 'best' with two heterosexual parents, the question is just how far back is second place?
Are they actually harmed by any other arrangement? Single parent, foster parents, Aunt May, same-sex couples... How do you measure 'best,' and how do you establish harm? We need definitions and measurable comparisons established.

THEN maybe you can try to get some sort of change in the system.

Assuming that neither mum nor dad is mentally or physically abusive, yes, being raised by two natural parents is probably best. Can we agree that being raised in an orphanage is the worst option? In between are single parents, same-sex parents, other relatives, foster families. Who gets to define the “best” outcome, and when is that determination made? Do we evaluate at 18, 21, 30, 40? If you have any unbiased studies to define the “best” outcome, by all means cite them.

Yo, bitch, how about we first get enough willing families for ALL the kids in the system, then you can have your little pissing contest, which specific type of household has the greatest % of sending their kid to Harvard or such, eh?
