...Why do women get so upset at the notion of belonging in the home? Mainly the kitchen...

I know, I know... just downright uppity of us... we got the vote, what more do we want? Enough with the bitching and make dinner, right?
Uhm... it's okay to keep a woman at home against her will, but it's not okay for two people of the same sex to have concentual sex?
I never seem to grasp fundie philosophy.
Because, gee, I don't know, I have a life. Downright shameful of me, isn't it?
Because I don't know how to cook and I'm not the neatest person, so I'd have nothing to do except watch TV (which, as I've learned this summer, gets very boring).
How about this: because, as human beings, they resent having their right to self-determination taken away from them. Sort of like, oh, the entire population of Myanmar.
Because I think it's degrading that you dehumanize us enough to not feel guilty about forcing us to do all the jobs you don't want and keeping us away from the jobs you do.
You know, the way you do with beasts of burden. And slaves.
Um...I'm a dude so it might not be my place to speak on such matters, but I'm gunna guess..
Because that notion is misogynistic and sexist?
Oh I don't know, how do you feel about being told anything you actually want to do in life is a pointless waste of time and you have no personal worth outside of that given to you by another whom you are expected to defer to in all things even if you think you know better because anything that comes out of your mouth is categorically a bunch of noise that only irritates your betters? And that the total value of your existence has a brief shelf life after which your presence will merely be tolerated out of obligation?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
