Good points! In Canada, homo-fascism is prevalent. Not only are any public pronouncements against homosexuality essentially banned, but pro-homosexual indoctrination it is now becoming compulsory education in a number of provinces. And you can forget the idea of freedom of association.

In America, Christian-fascism is prevelant. Not only are any public pronouncements against Christianity essentially banned, but pro-Christian indoctrination it is now becoming compulsory education in a number of states.
In short, some little girl told oldbetang to be nice, and he flipped out and knocked her unconscious, claiming Christian persecution.
"In Canada, milk that comes in bags is prevalent. Not only are cartons of milk essentially banned, but pro-bags of milk indoctrination it is now becoming compulsory education in a number of provinces. And you can forget the idea of freedom of association."
Hey, it's about as relevant and factual as the original.
BULLSHIT! we here in canada.... you know what? i'm not gonna bother with this, my BS meter is about to explode... and homophobia is more of a social taboo... but there is the occaisional bigot here, too... but the truly crazy ones are very few and far between.
Here where gays can marry (almost) and everything, I never even notice them, other than the occasional same-sex couple walking around town.
Guess if we just let them be they sort of go underground or something?
In Canada, homo-fascism is prevalent.
No.

Public pronouncements against homosexuality aren't banned, but you'll definitely get criticized for speaking out against something that doesn't affect your lifestyle. There is education, and it is compulsory, but it is not pro-homosexual nor is it indoctrination. It is to teach students about another person's lifestyle and that there is nothing wrong with it. In essence, it is to prevent intolerance.
And you can forget the idea of freedom of association.
Ha Ha Ha Ha! That's a funny one!
@308135: I haven't seen bagged milk here in ages. Yes, I'm Canadian. Live with it.

But didn't you hear? Publicly disagreeing with a fundie is persecution of Christians!
What you said is just as offensive as this:
Good points! In Canada, nigger-fascism is prevalent. Not only are any public pronouncements against niggers essentially banned, but pro-nigger indoctrination it is now becoming compulsory education in a number of provinces. And you can forget the idea of freedom of association.
Anyone remember that old episode of Red Dwarf where Lister went back to meet his teenage self, who kept proclaiming "You're so crypto-fascist!" without even knowing what that meant?
This reminds me of that same thing.
Wow, you live in a country all your life, but it takes an American to tell us how things really work.
I'd be surprised that he be able to locate Canada on a world map.
Well, since when "God hates Canada" and "kill the faggots" shouldn't be banned?. Moreover, the second assertion is very vague, are you saying that now it's compulsory to teach them to be lesbian and gay or that heterosexual people can't associate?
Sounds like Canada is a really nice place then. Anyone know the view on transsexuals there?
@ Goosey: Yeah, I think I remember that ep. of Red Dwarf. Didn't Rimmer steal Hitler's lunchbox too?
@ Fanatic-Templar: That's sadly all too true, I fear. I've also heard that many Americans think that Canada is just another state (yeah, they don't even know their own countries states). How pathetic can you get?
"..homo-fascism is prevalent."
They come for you in the middle of the night, take you from your home and what, force you to watch musical theatre?
How threatening, indeed.
Here in Canada we have a small but growing Christofacist problem. they seem to think that they can trample everyone else with impunity, and when they are shown the error of their assumption... They whine about "persecution".
As far as I am aware, there is no such thing as homo-facism.
Yet another idiot claiming no other country but America has free speech. Yet another idiot suggesting a response to your free speech is supression of it.
We've got all kinds of bigots up here lipping away against their pet hates. They just can't find a receptive agreeable audience as easily as in the hotbeds of Americas traditional organized bigotry. We certainly aren't electing fear hatemonglers as much
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
