Am I understanding this correctly:
Instead of addressing homophobia, they've put gay boys in girls schools for protection?

A lot of publicity for .04% of the school population, which has 1200 students, although they didn't say how many girls were there compared to the snotty snowflake boys who can't cut it in a regular school [edit] or think they deserve special treatment and want to lord it over girls. Since when do boys and pretend "girls" get to attend an actual girls school?
Notice the flyer behind "head boy John"? Says something about "sbian, gay, bisexual, rans" and "aged 11-19".
This is all about these boys, that's all.
