so you're saying that Jesus was a false prophet?
No. The Bible itself says that Jesus is a false prophet in addition to being a failed messiah and a false god.
“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds. Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.“ (Matthew 16: 27, 28)
“Behold, I have told you in advance. So if they say to you, Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.“ (Matthew 24: 25-34)
“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven. Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place
“ (Mark 13:26-30)
“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. Then He told them a parable: Behold the fig tree and all the trees; as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place.“ (Luke 21:27-32)
In these passages Jesus is explicit about his return. He said that he would return riding the clouds with angels to judge the world and that with the sound of a trumpet he would send his angels to gather his chosen ones from the Earth. This would be no secret, invisible or “spiritual” event. Instead, the whole world would see him in the sky just the whole world sees the light of the sun. This was to happen some time during the generation of those to whom he was speaking. To make it clear to his listeners that this event would not be in the distant future, he told them that some of them who were there listening to him would still be alive to see it.
“But Jesus kept silent and the high priest said to Him, “I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.” Jesus said to him, “You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.“” (Matthew 26: 63, 64)
This passage is from the story of Jesus’ trial. Jesus tells the high priest that he would see him return riding on the clouds.
And guess what?
NONE OF THE ABOVE OCCURRED!
Deuteronomy 13
13 “If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. 5 But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to make you leave the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
And the Jews did exactly as they were commanded. They killed the false prophet in their midst for audiciously claiming what was God's alone.
Jesus said you have to accept his sacrifice on the cross to go to heaven and be with God forever-
So says the lying liar who lied about being a God's son so he could dupe gullible believers like yourself who doesn't realize that Jesus was a textbook definition of a false prophet.
that's what he means when he said no one comes to the father except through me.
Then I'm sure he's occupying a special place in Hell for that blasphemous violation of the first commandment, which his 'Father" did not make an exception to when he wrote it.
Jesus was sent to the world by God to be living example of God's works and message-
And he was an utter failure at that. There are still unbelievers, including the majority of Jews who are still not convinced. The 2 billion Muslims in existence must really be an egg on Jesus' face.
and then to carry the burden for us so we won't have to be tortured for our sins, put to death, and then sent to hell.
Again, as claimed by the lying liar who lied about being God's son and was dead wrong about the only prophecy he ever made. I wonder what else he lied about?
Amazing that nothing about the Messish said anything about doing any of that.
The Messiah was supposed to build the third temple. Be descended from King David. Usher in an era of peace. Bring all the Jews back to Israel.
Jesus did none of those things.
Hell isn't a place of torture- it's just separation from God. Jesus wasn't a false prophet.
Wow. Everything you said was completely wrong. Is your name Jesus, mr. Annyomous?
