Straight people are doing a good enough job of that as it is. Marriage is literally a joke, just watch any sitcom or stand-up comedy special.

Even if they WERE destroying marriage, that's a hell of a disproportionate retribution. People can still live without marriage (and some do) but killing people causes permanent harm to them.

And now we see why fundies need the idea of hell to keep them in check otherwise they'd be doing immoral things just because they can get away with them. Meanwhile, the sane people of the world avoid harming others even if there's no punishment for harming others.
