Yes, God forbid (pun intended) that normal things that normal people do be depicted. The Beatles thing was over-exaggerated and it was because of American conservative christians. Whatever people are saying “against Jesus” now is not shamed much anymore because many people have learned to accept opinions and viewpoints that differ from their own.

Yes, I would say so. Sin means “transgression”, right? If so, please list any and all of the 613 commandments in the Bible that watching a movie like this would transgress against.

TV has changed because people have managed to break free of the chains that people like you have put on them. Back then, people could potentially be ostracized for some small thing, because there were too many people like you running around who simply cannot comprehend other worldviews at all.

The difference lies not in the acceptance of it versus thieving, murdering, and cheating, but in that it DOES NOT hurt others. You affect somebody or somebodies negatively if you steal. Same if you kill someone, it affects them in that they are not alive (obviously) and it also effects the people close to them who loved them. Cheating affects your partner. It breaks trust.

But homosexuality does not hurt anybody at all. The only people who are hurt in families and/or groups with someone who is the gay person in question, by someone or some people who refuse to accept them for who they are and show bigotry such as yourself.

Was Guy wrong, though? Think of it this way: What if you came across primitive humans who did not know fire and were only managing to survive? You could teach them fire, so that they could lead happier and healthier lives. And I suppose that the rules laid down by the father of that family would not matter if they were “unsaved, pagan cave-dwellers” who “need Jesus”.

Also… they are Neanderthals. Looking at another species of man through the lens of any religion is inherently stupid. Not that this movie is necessarily an accurate representation of them, obviously, but still.

Edit: About the Lucifer = Sun thing, “Lucifer” refers to Venus, not the sun. Yeah, who knew? Many objects besides the sun give off light. Insane, right? Such a stupid connection to make, all just to literally demonize the movie.

The cesspool of a thread was sad to read, to say the least. The OP who made it said that he was “certain” that the characters called Eep “Eve” sometimes! And, of course, posters bitching about the movie (or, at least, the commercials) promoting eViLuTiOn.

Same goes for Prometheus, and, Lucifer did not bring fire, and the evidence for this figure being one and the same as the serpent which you are evidently referring to is scanty at best.

“following the light” was ultimately for the greater good, though. So this point is moot.

No evidence to say it is Luciferian doctrine. To say it is sun worship is exaggeration at best and a damn lie at worst. We all know you’re a christian, you don’t have to tell us. Thanking Brandon for his ridiculous take is more than enough to see that.

Source for the first pagan god being the “sun god”? How could anyone truly know, anyway? And who is “they”?
