Jonathan Wright and Rick Wiles #fundie rightwingwatch.org

An “analyst” trained in the very, very discredited “Bible Code” method, which tries to predict future events through letters in the Bible, has come out with some big news: President Obama is in the Bible Code, and he is probably the Antichrist.

Bible Code-breaker Jonathan Wright appeared on “Trunews” last week, where he told host Rick Wiles that Obama is either the Antichrist or the harbinger of the Antichrist. Not only does the Bible Code prove this to be the case, says Wright, but so does Obama’s non-existent Muslim wedding ring.

Wiles: So either Barack Obama is the Man of Sin, commonly known as the Antichrist, the Bible doesn’t say ‘Antichrist’ it says ‘Man of Sin.’

Wright: That’s right.

Wiles: Either Barack Obama is the Man of Sin or he is strongly connected to the Man of Sin or the spirit of Antichrist.

Wright: That’s right. Those are my only — I’ve tried to look at this as an investigation not with an agenda, by the way, but what I’ve come up with those have to be the possibilities. Let’s just face it, he’s got a ring on that says, ‘There’s no God but Allah and Mohammad is his Messenger.’ Now, by definition, that’s Antichrist.

[....]

The two also shared their belief that Obama is likely the Antichrist because a fly once landed on him, something that only has ever happened to Obama. “And there’s always the photos that you see everywhere with the flies landing on his face,” Wright told Wiles, “I can show you in the codes where he’s got a strong connection to the Lord of the Flies, Beelzebub.”

“I call him Beelze-lip,” Wiles added. “Because he had those flies stuck to his lip.”

Phyllis Schafly #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly – author of “Who Killed the American Family?” – said she agrees Obama is responsible for allowing diseases to enter the country. “There are all kinds of diseases in the rest of the world, and we don’t want them in this country,” Schlafly said. “And it’s Obama’s job to keep them out. “Out of all the things he’s done, I think this thing of letting these diseased people into this country to infect our own people is just the most outrageous of all.” Schlafly said the government should screen immigrants for disease before they enter the country, as was done at Ellis Island a hundred years ago. “That was the purpose of Ellis Island – to have a waiting place where it was decided whether people were healthy enough or responsible enough to come into our country,” she said. “The idea that anybody can just walk in and carry this disease with them is just an outrage, and it is Obama’s fault because he’s responsible for doing it.” — When asked why the current administration hasn’t done more to prevent diseased illegal aliens or Ebola carriers from Africa from entering the country, Schlafly said Obama wants to make the U.S. more like the rest of the world. “Obama doesn’t want America to believe that we’re exceptional,” Schlafly said. “He wants us to be just like everybody else, and if Africa is suffering from Ebola, we ought to join the group and be suffering from it, too. That’s his attitude.”

Mat Staver #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Liberty Counsel chairman Mat Staver delivered a blistering response to the Supreme Court's decision this week not to take-up marriage equality appeals, telling host Jim Schneider of "Crosstalk" yesterday that the court is endangering public health by effectively legalizing same-sex marriage in several states.

Staver said same-sex marriage should remain illegal because "we know male-male sexual relationships are notoriously harmful, physically as well as mentally, and also female-female, same kinds of things."

"It's harmful to the individuals and those harms ultimately effect those around because they're communicable and other kinds of serious and deadly disease," he added.

Staver lamented that America is witnessing "a debasing of morals" as county clerks in new marriage equality states begin to issue marriage licenses, with even "people on the sidelines who don't necessarily participate directly in the debasing acts cheering on those that do."

"This is not something to cheer about, this is a shameful day in American history, it's a shameful day that the Supreme Court has ultimately engulfed itself with," Staver said.

"It's shameful for the Supreme Court for what they have done to marriage as it has been shameful in the history of the court with regards to the Dred Scott decision or the Buck v. Bell decision, where they said that the state of Virginia can forcibly sterilize her because of this eugenics idea that they want to eliminate the undesirables of the world. That was the shameful day that we ultimately look back with shame upon and I think this is going to be one of those same kind of situations."

Sandy Rios #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On the Supreme Court refusing to hear appeals on rulings overturning gay marriage bans:

“If we don’t do something, I think we’re going to see — and this is radical — I think we’re going to see riots in the street, we’re going to see starvation, we’re going to see things we have never seen before, we’re going to see a complete breakdown in terms of law enforcement, it’s going to be a nightmare,” she said. “This will be what you are handing to your children if you don’t speak up now. I’m not sure we can pull it back, but are you going to say in retrospect that you did nothing?”

Michael Savage #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

Right-wing radio talk show host Michael Savage announced yesterday that the Dallas patient diagnosed with Ebola proves his conspiracy theory that President Obama is deliberately bringing in diseases to kill Americans as part of his purported war on white people. He claimed that a treasonous Obama “wants to infect the nation with Ebola,” warning that the president decided to send U.S. service members to West Africa in hopes that one of the soldiers would contract Ebola and bring it back home.

“If we had a legitimate president with a conscience he would resign,” Savage said in reaction to the Dallas Ebola case. “He would say, ‘You know what, I meant well but I screwed up at every level, I’m resigning.’ But you don’t have such a situation, you have a zealot who has no conscience.”

Savage suggested that Obama seeks to bring the Ebola epidemic to America in order to turn the U.S. into a Third World nation and bring the country down: “That’s the way to make things fair and equitable. You can’t have a nation with such good health in a world where there’s such sickness. Obama wants equality and he wants fairness and it’s only fair that America have a nice epidemic or two or three or four in order to really feel what it’s like to be in the Third World. You have to look at it from the point of view of a leftist.”

Paul Cameron #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

“Homosexuals, from the get-go, as long as we have recorded history, have used the molestation of boys as a way to recruit to homosexuality,” Cameron declared, claiming that his “studies” have found that sixty percent of boys who reported that their first sexual experience was a same-sex experience grow up to be gay.

“So this is a tremendous recruitment tool,” he said. “If a gay can get to your son first, the chances are about 50-50, as near as we can tell, that your son is going to be a practicing homosexual to some degree.”

“It’s very important to keep your sons from having a homosexual experience,” he emphasized:

Klingenschmitt and Cameron then discussed Cameron’s work making it illegal for gays to donate blood, which Cameron said is a prohibition that must remain in place today because gays travel the world where they have reckless sex and pick up all sorts of exotic diseases that endanger the rest of society.

“What gays do is so dangerous, I mean, rectal sex. I mean, think of all of the stuff that they do,” Cameron said. “You don’t know what else is out there. We still don’t know all the components in human blood. They've got other stuff, if there’s something over in another country in the world, given that gays travel more, given that gays have sex wherever they travel, uh oh, they bring back whatever is out there and there’s always something new out there.”

Pat Robertson #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On today’s edition of “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson attempted to explain the difference between passages on war and killing in the Bible and the Quran. Robertson, who regularly cites Qur’anic verses as proof that Islam is an inherently violent and genocidal religion, said the main difference is that God commanded the mass killings found in the Bible in order to curb the corrupting influences of idol-worshipers, while violent acts in the Quran were ordered by Allah. “How can you say it’s not like the other? The other is in the name of Allah,” he reasoned. -

Bryan Fischer #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On his radio program today, Bryan Fischer recommended that the United States adopt an immigration policy based upon the Bible, meaning that all immigrants must convert to Christianity and completely leave behind their native practices, beliefs, culture, and language. If we "did immigration God's way," Fischer said, that would mean that "those who came to our shores would be expected to adopt our religious values and traditions — that would mean Christianity and not Islam — and they would leave behind their religion and their god." "That would mean leaving behind Islam and Allah," he explained, as well as adopting Judeo-Christian values, which means they they would not be allowed to complain about the sale or consumption of bacon or the inability to obtain Halal foods. "If this were to happen," he concluded, "we would have one god, we would have one law, we would have one culture, and we would have one language"

Rodney Howard-Brown #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

Howard-Browne told “Trunews” host Rick Wiles that America today is no different than Germany under Nazi rule: “We’ve been taken over. We are living in occupied territory. It’s like Nazi Germany in 1933 right now in America. People say, ‘That’s just crazy.’ But no it’s not, it’s fact.”

Howard-Browne claimed that the U.S. government is now building concentration camps and gas chambers “right before our eyes,” including one gas chamber that is currently under construction in Kentucky, as a result of a United Nations/Agenda 21 plot to pave the way for a “one world government” and “the rise of the Antichrist.”

Howard-Browne also told Wiles that a “leading congressman” informed him about an impending collapse of the U.S. dollar and the food supply.

“We are going to martial law,” he said, before warning that the Muslim Brotherhood controls dozens of American ports and that ISIS is infiltrating the U.S.

Naturally, the interview ended with Howard-Browne reading a list of quotes about the coming one world government, which will be based on socialism, Zionism, Masonry, the Rothschild family and owl-worship, and which will empower the “Luciferian structure of the globe that worships Lucifer.”

Linda Harvey #conspiracy #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

In an interview with Cleveland Right to Life’s Molly Smith earlier this month, Mission America President Linda Harvey claimed that LGBT youth centers are in fact “homosexual sex centers” where “kids are being preyed upon by older homosexuals” and contracting HIV.

Harvey reported that LGBT teens at these centers “go and socialize with out homosexuals who are college-age and some of the volunteers who are out homosexuals” which leads her to believe that “kids are being preyed upon by older homosexuals.”

“The things that go on in the bathrooms at these centers—It’s unbelievable. It’s everything you can imagine” she said.

“Social service agencies donate money because, again, it’s considered a youth center. No, it’s a homosexual sex center and kids should not be involved in this. This is another way HIV is being spread, I think. There’s no question that kids are being preyed upon by older homosexuals, and that’s why you see Centers for Disease Control shows 13- to 24-year-old HIV rates are going up.”

Tony Perkins #fundie rightwingwatch.org

[ Tony Perkins makes a bid for the "My Theocracy is better than your Theocracy Award" ]

The Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins said today that the separation of church and state in the United States has contributed to the rise of Islamic extremist groups like ISIS, arguing in his radio commentary that ISIS has “filled the void left by secularism.”

According to Perkins, American ISIS militants wouldn’t have left the country to fight for the group if only the government had promoted Christianity over other faiths.

"Where there is no vision, the people perish. Hello, this is Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington.

Americans have been shocked to see the brutality and barbarism of the Islamic militants of ISIS, and they've been stunned by the revelations that radicalized Americans have joined their ranks and taken up their cause. Pundits and politicians alike have publicly pondered the question as to how young Americans can be sucked into such an evil venture.

While it may be troubling, the answer is not hard. Radical secularism that has driven the defining characteristics of our Western culture, our Judeo-Christian heritage, from our schools, our entertainment and even our government has left in its place a void, a vacuum. And we should know from experience that a vacuum will be filled by something.

Without a creedal vision that a society can unify around, the people, the nation, will perish. Unless we are content to allow ISIS or some other radical belief system to fill the void left by secularism, we must rediscover America's founding, Christ-centered vision."

Rick Joyner #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On yesterday's "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program, Rick Joyner recounted the eight hours he spent in Heaven recently, as well as the regular face-to-face encounters he has been having with Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah, and the Prophet Elijah. During his recent visit, Joyner learned that there is no Ebola virus in Heaven and that Christians are capable of taking authority over the disease here on earth. In fact, there are certain people who are given "total authority over Ebola," allowing them to cure people infected with the disease simply by being in their presence. "Somebody with Ebola, they come into the room, the Ebola is gone," Joyner said. "That person is healed. It cannot live, cannot exist in their presence." All Christians will one day have this same power, Joyner said, revealing that he even had a vision of children clearing entire regions of radiation simply through prayer.

Bryan Fischer #fundie rightwingwatch.org

[O]ur military exists to uphold and defend our Constitution, and the Constitution in turn identifies the "unalienable rights" the Declaration refers to that our government is obligated to protect.

These rights do not come from government, they do not come from the commander-in-chief, and they most certainly do not come from some activist judge. They come from God himself. We are not evolved, as this wannabe-enlistee believes, but we are "created," and "endowed by (our) Creator with certain unalienable rights."

This is an absolutely foundational, non-negotiable, bed-rock American principle: there is a Creator - with a capital "C" (you could look it up) - and he and he alone is the source of the very rights the military exists to protect and defend.

An individual who does not understand and believe this has no right to serve in the U.S. military. Military service should rightly be reserved for those who believe in and are willing to die for what America stands for - and what America stands for is a belief in God as the source of our rights.

A man who doesn't believe in the Creator the Founders trusted certainly can live in America without being troubled for being a fool. But he most certainly should not wear the uniform.

The other branches of the military do not require the same oath - yet. But they should. Military service should be reserved for genuine Americans and genuine Americans, like the Founders, believe in God.

Jim Gilchrist #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Yesterday, the Daily Show aired an interview with the Minuteman Project’s Jim Gilchrist on his plan to patrol the border with vigilante groups to stop what he calls a “Trojan Horse invasion” of Central American children fleeing violence in their home countries. Gilchrist dismissed concerns about the safety of the children — at least five of whom have been murdered after being deported from the U.S — in home countries that are plagued by drug-related violence.

“It’s unfortunate, but throughout history there have been children in one country who could not get to another country,” Gilchrist told the Daily Show’s Michael Che. “We’re all going to die someday. We can’t stop that.”

Trying to catch himself, Gilchrist added, “I’m not giving a death wish on these children coming here or the illegal aliens, I’m just saying that there are some things, realistically, you cannot stop.”

Back in July, Gilchrist sympathized with a caller to a radio show who suggested putting the child migrants in a prison camp and gassing them to death.

Pat Robertson #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On today’s edition of the “700 Club,” a viewer told Robertson that her 13-year-old step-son, who “lives with his mother most of the time,” has “crushes on boys” and wanted the televangelist’s help.

Repeating the myth that homosexuality is the result of a lack of parental bonding, Robertson said “his attraction is now toward other men because he’s raised by a woman.”

“I would get him male companions, I’d get him some man to help him, some mentor, someone who cares about young men,” Robertson advised. “He is being raised by a single woman and that is skewing his orientation.”

David Horowitz & Tim Wildmon #fundie rightwingwatch.org

David Horowitz dropped by the American Family Association’s “Today’s Issues” today, where he spoke with AFA head Tim Wildmon about how President Obama refuses to condemn the mass killings of Christians or take military action against ISIS. Of course, Obama has repeatedly condemned the killing of Christians and has ordered 90 airstrikes against ISIS to date. But in Horowitz’s world, Obama is cheering on ISIS because he’s a Muslim who hates America. “Obama is an anti-American radical and I’m actually sure he’s a Muslim, he certainly isn’t a Christian,” Horowitz said. “He’s a pretend Christian in the same way he’s a pretend American. It really is disgraceful. He's inviting the terrorists to behead more Americans when he should be attacking them with our military. His whole agenda in office has been to defeat America, he lost the war in Iraq deliberately, he created a vacuum which ISIS has filled.” “Saying he’s the worst president we’ve ever had is not saying enough.”

Horowitz also said that Obama is letting immigrants illegally cross the border in order to kill Americans through anthrax and beheadings. “When he was re-elected, the first thought that came into my mind is, a lot of people are going to be dead because of this election, and how right I was,” he said, warning that the president “destroyed our borders” in order to let “our enemies” enter the U.S. “They’re going to come across our border with their dirty bombs and their anthrax and whatever else, you know, their swords to behead us—.The ones who are going to do the killing are coming across our open border and this president is not defending us.”

Jody Hice #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Jody Hice, the right-wing radio host who is the GOP nominee for an open House seat from Georgia, is none too pleased about it, saying on his radio program last month that Obama is thumbing his nose at the First Amendment and calling on Congress to pass legislation prohibiting the federal government from "discriminating" against Christians who want to discriminate against gays.

Hice went on to call upon Congress to repeal Obama's executive order by passing legislation that would "clearly prohibit our government from itself discriminating against any individual or any group or organization, whether nonprofit or for profit, it doesn't matter, to prevent the government from discriminating based on the beliefs about marriage and sexuality." "Our government, our system, absolutely should be prohibited from discriminating against these types of groups," Hice declared. "Our government should not be allowed to use these things to penalize individuals and groups for not adjusting their philosophies to political correct ideas": -

Rick Wiles #fundie #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

Rick Wiles: Obama Using Gay Rights And ISIS To Destroy America

On Friday, “Trunews” host Rick Wiles said that President Obama is “waging jihad” on America through gay rights advocacy and the extremist group ISIS, which Wiles believes is a U.S. government proxy. During an interview with Walid Shoebat, an anti-Muslim commentator who is the favorite of many conservative groups and media outlets, Wiles claimed that “Barack Obama is more than a Muslim, he is a jihadist.”

“He is waging jihad from inside the White House, his foreign policy is 100 percent pro-Islam, he has waged jihad on this country, he has shredded the Constitution, he has defiled the U.S. military by forcing the military to accept homosexuality,” he said.

“Obama is destroying Christian America, that’s his assignment as a jihadist, it is to destroy Christian America.”

After Wiles said that CIA director John Brennan is also “an Islamist,” Shoebat claimed that the U.S. government is feeling the effects of an Islamist “infiltration.” Shoebat added that God is punishing America with Obama’s presidency: “America has abandoned its Judeo-Christian ethics and so God has given them to their own desires and that’s why we have Obama. When Americans wake up and God removes Obama and we have a different president, maybe God will have mercy on us.”

[....]

“This is a demonic influence and the more America becomes liberal, the more that kind of influence prevails in America,” he said, warning that liberals will dispose of the First Amendment in order to ban criticism of Islam and “the homosexual agenda.”

Erik Rush #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Erik Rush: Gays Aligned With ISIS

WorldNetDaily pundit Erik Rush writes today that gay rights activists and ISIS are both persecuting Christians, just with “a different methodology.” While ISIS is attempting to carry out an anti-Christian genocide, Rush claims that gay people in America are using the “gratuitous proliferation of homoerotica” to push “the disenfranchisement of Christians.”

“Progressive power players hate Christians because we threaten their power, and the true-believing useful idiots hate Christians because they’ve been taught that we wish to place impediments upon their freedom to be self-destructive, unregenerate hedonists,” he writes.

“It says a lot that so many liberal Americans have decided to stand with abject animals, men who are capable of the most heinous, disgusting, depraved war crimes imaginable, and against their own countrymen and women who happen to be Christians.”

“Obama has more than a nodding acquaintance with all things gay,” Rush says while linking to a WND article about Obama’s secret “gay life” and also claiming Obama is a Muslim: “Finally, addressing the Islamist horde that has promised to raise its flag over the White House: In a sense, it has already been done.”

But Rush has a solution: “Now more than ever, I believe it is apparent that progressivism cloaks with its innocuousness and faux egalitarianism a doctrine that should be stigmatized and disenfranchised, employing the same commitment with which we addressed segregationism.”

Bryan Fischer #fundie rightwingwatch.org

American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer is outraged that the U.S. is intervening in Iraq to stop ISIS, who has been attacking Christians and other Muslims throughout the country.

Fischer believes that President Obama only intervened to stop the extermination of the Yazidis, who practice an ancient religion yet are considered by ISIS fighters and others to be “devil worshipers.” He began today’s edition of “Focal Point” by railing against Obama, saying the president only decided to launch airstrikes in Iraq in order to defend “devil worshipers.”

“They go after devil worshipers and all of the sudden the entire weight of the United States government is sent in there to relieve them and to avenge them,” he said. “Those are the Yazidis.”

[...]

Fischer added: “President Obama will fight for Satan worshipers but he will not fight for Christians.”

[...]

“In a rare point of theological accord, both Muslims and Christians agree that the archangel revered by the Yazidis is in fact the Prince of Darkness,” he writes in his column today. “The New Testament describes him this way, “Satan (who) disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14), eager to deceive the gullible into believing that he is good rather than evil. The Yazidis have fallen for his lies.”

The persecution of Christians and other minorities in Iraq began long before Obama took office, and Fischer relayed other right-wing myths about the Obama administration supposedly refusing to help people like pastor Saeed Abedini and Meriam Ibrahim.

Kevin Swanson and Walter Kennedy #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On his radio show last month, Religious Right broadcaster Kevin Swanson hosted a neo-Confederate author to discuss how Abraham Lincoln used the Civil War - or as he called it, "The War Against The South" - to impose socialism on America.

Swanson is adding Lincoln to the list of people, such as Mark twain, who he believes ruined the country by replacing Antebellum slavery with Big Government socialist slavery.

"It's the socialist utopians that come into town and they promise deliverance from local fiefdoms only to create a large tyranny in the Soviet Union, Soviet America and Soviet China and Soviet everywhere else in the world," he said.

Swanson spoke with Walter Kennedy, the author of books such as "Lincoln's Marxists" and "Red Republicans and Lincoln's Marxists: Marxism in the Civil War."

[...]

In the interview with Swanson, Kennedy said that "radical socialists and communists" helped launch the Republican Party and put Lincoln in the White House, and then led "the prosecution of 'The War Against the South.'"

"The Democrats, both Northern and Southerners, believed in limited government and the Marxists hated that concept, they wanted to do away with states' rights and limited government so that they'd have one big all-powerful indivisible government that could force its will upon the American people," Kennedy said.

After Swanson asked if "the communists had the ear of Lincoln," Kennedy said that Karl Marx and other socialists revered Lincoln for opposing the South's "fight to keep small government alive, states' rights alive."

Kennedy went on to say that Lincoln created a "supreme" federal government that led an "incessant attack on religious values in America," arguing that Lincoln gave communism a "big boost" by winning the Civil War.

“What Marxist dictator could ask for less?” he continued. “All of these communists that have wormed their way into power, into powerful positions, they began to influence other people to pursue this objective of a big, indivisible government, and government supplants God as being sovereign.”

Kennedy said that “post-Appomattox,” America replaced its “freedom-based, liberty-based society” with one that embraced “un-American” values.

“Post-Civil War, you’ve got the socialist goals, the communist platform, the Manifesto platform, I think there are ten elements to the platform, one by one they come about in our country,” Swanson added. “And first was the public schools.”

That’s right: the communists not only defeated the churchgoing, freedom-loving Southern slave owners, but also established evil public schools!

Kennedy said public schools “make all the children think alike and think the way the government wanted them to think, no different than in Nazi Germany or in Soviet Union or in North Korea.”

“They want all of the children to think alike, and what tyrant doesn’t want all of his subjects to think alike?”

Rick Joyner #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On Sunday, Rick Joyner presented new proof that the theory of evolution is “not only ridiculous, it’s impossible.” He claimed that there is no evidence of an entire species evolving: “You can mix a donkey and a horse and get a mule, but mules cannot reproduce. They can only reproduce after their own kind. We have no species change.” “Why would a whole theory, everything taught in our schools, be based on something that is something that is so outrageously not only ridiculous, it’s impossible,” he said.

David Barton #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On his “Wallbuilders Live” program yesterday, David Barton offered a handy guide to voters who are concerned about whether their elected officials respect “natural law”: ask them if they support abortion rights, and if they do, know that they will also take away your “property” and your “self-defense.” “One of the easiest way to tell about natural law is to ask them where they are on abortion, because if they don’t respect the inalienable right to life, they do not respect any other inalienable right,” he advised. “If you don’t respect the right to life,” he said, “you won’t respect property, you won’t respect protecting income, you’ll think you ought to tax people more rather than protect their income, you’ll take it from them, you won’t protect their property, you won’t protect their religious liberties, you won’t protect their right of self-defense, you’ll try to take their self-defense away from them.” He added that even if the candidate is running for an office that has nothing to do with abortion policy, such as a school board, abortion should still be the litmus test.

Rick Wiles #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Now this Ebola epidemic can become a global pandemic and that’s another name for plague. It may be the great attitude adjustment that I believe is coming. Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion...If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God. If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper.

Janet Porter #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Get Ready For ReaganBook: The 'Facebook For Patriots'

Last weekend, the Ohio Liberty Coalition hosted a "Reload 4 Liberty" event at which Janet Porter spoke about her never-ending push to get her anti-choice "Heartbeat Bill" legislation passed in Ohio. But apparently that is not all that Porter is up to these days, as she also revealed to the audience that she'll soon be unveiling something called ReaganBook, which aims to become "the Facebook for patriots."

Because Facebook is run by the sorts of people who march in gay pride parades and supposedly censors messages from anti-gay activists like Peter LaBarbera, Porter explained that she decided to launch ReaganBook as a conservative alternative.

"We're tearing down walls, get it?" she said. "We're tearing down walls of tyranny, or censorship"

And indeed, ReaganBook is an actual thing ... and though, as of this posting, it currently only has thirty-one members, including Janet Porter, we are sure that once it is officially announced, it'll sweep the nation!

Bob Frey #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Bob Frey, a Michele Bachmann ally and Republican candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives, wants public schools to teach students that humans and dinosaurs lived together.

Frey, who also has his own bizarre theory about HIV/AIDS, alleged in a 2004 appearance before the Minnesota State Senate Education Committee that the fossil record proves that “dinosaurs have always lived with man,” and such “real science” should be taught in public schools.

[...]

Bluestem Prairie also reports that Frey used to run a group called Creation Science Seminars, which claimed that teaching Creationism would reduce the rate of violence that the theory of evolution had apparently brought upon communities.

Michele Bachmann #fundie rightwingwatch.org

During a Wednesday appearance on the conservative radio show “Faith & Liberty,” Rep. Michele Bachmann accused the “gay community” of pushing “deviancy,” “tyranny” and child rape.

The Minnesota Republican warned that the gay community will “abolish age of consent laws, which means we will do away with statutory rape laws so that adults will be able to freely prey on little children sexually. That’s the deviance that we’re seeing embraced in our culture today.”

She also predicted that gay rights advocates will legalize polygamy and enact “hate speech laws across the United States” in order to bring about “the rise of tyranny.”

Bert Farias #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Homosexuality is actually a demon spirit. It is such a putrid smelling demon that other demons don't even like to hang around it. A genuine prophet of God told me that the Lord allowed him to smell this demon spirit, and he got sick to his stomach. And yet as humans, many embrace this demon. Yes, you heard me right. Being gay is demonic.

Rick Joyner #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Does our nation gain God’s favor if officials advocate for children crossing the Rio Grande but fail to guarantee safe passage through the birth canal? Such carnage in the womb occurs within our U.S. borders daily. Additionally, in 2003 Justice Scalia predicted that with the repeal of sodomy laws, sodomy would become institutionalized. Today our little children learn a new euphemism in school, “same-sex marriage.” At the university level, academics are paving the way for pedophilia to be viewed as one more sexual orientation. Closer to home, we have tolerated emergent church leaders who undercut God’s justice by eroding hell. With this modeling, is it any wonder that policy makers undercut just laws and erode U.S. borders?

If the alien invasion is a sign of divine judgment, shouldn’t we still act to minimize the effects? If we experienced a judgment of drought we would still dig wells; if famine, we would still forage for food. While our first task is to humbly call people to repentance through Christ, we should unashamedly cry out that U.S. borders be secured. Exclusion has appropriate precedents.

[...]

So is this God’s judgment? Perhaps we will know in time. For now, we need evangelicals confident in a biblical basis for limiting the border deluge. No false guilt trip need dissuade us. Our nation needs protection from lawlessness. Let’s love our alien neighbors with the prudence of a savvy lifeguard who won’t allow herself to be pulled under in the rescue. Let’s enforce and obey the present Constitutional laws of immigration and welcome as new citizens those who respect our laws. Put the “protest” back into Protestant and insist that we secure our borders!

Gordon Klingenschmitt #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Back in 2012, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against a Wisconsin school district that had been holding its graduation ceremonies in a local church, declaring that doing so "conveys an impermissible message of endorsement." The school district appealed the decision to the Supreme Court which, last month, declined to hear the case.

Gordon Klingenschmitt, who is currently the Republican candidate for a state house seat in Colorado, weighed in on the Supreme Court's refusal to hear this case on his "Pray In Jesus Name" program where he offered a novel solution: atheists who don't want to attend their public school graduation in a church should just undergo an exorcism to rid them of the Devil so that they'll be comfortable attending church and "free to enjoy the worship of Jesus Christ."

"If the atheist complainer is so uncomfortable when they walk into a church that there's something inside of them squirming and making them feel these feelings of hatred toward the cross of Jesus Christ," Klingenschmitt said, "don't you think it's something inside of the atheist complainer that's wrong?"

"I have a solution," he continued. "Let's do an exorcism and cast the Devil out of them and then they'll feel comfortable when they walk into church"

David Barton #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Barton said that politicians had "better get God's permission" before they start advocating any changes to those boundaries because "if you start messing with that, you're messing directly with God." Countries like the United States that are not siding with Israel will suffer the consequences, he warned, as God strikes this nation with extreme weather, droughts, productivity declines, and agricultural disasters:

Bryan Fischer #fundie rightwingwatch.org

What we learn from the Bible is that borders are God’s idea, and that such borders are to be respected. They are not to be crossed without permission. -

Our southern border is there by God’s design. To disregard it, to treat it as if were not there, to regard it as something not worth respecting and defending, is an insult to the God who put it there for our benefit.

Rick Santorum #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Even though Rick Santorum came under fire during his presidential campaign for appearing on Bryan Fischer’s radio program, the former senator stopped by Fischer’s show again today to promote his film studio’s new movie, “One Generation Away: The Erosion of Religious Liberty.” The movie, which was made in conjunction with Fischer’s American Family Association, draws heavily from the right-wing narrative about supposed anti-Christian persecution in America.

Santorum told Fischer that business owners who refuse service to gay customers have been sent to “reeducation camps” and that pastors in the U.S. may soon be thrown into jail or martyred.

The former senator said that conservatives should emulate the intensity of liberal activists and refuse to throw in the towel on gay marriage: “We haven’t even lost yet and the majority of Americans still believe in marriage, and yet our side is willing to fold our tent and go away. We have to understand that this is a war and if we don’t engage in this war we will lose this war.”

Gordon Klingenschmitt #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Yes, well as a Navy Chaplain one of my first counseling assignments walked into my office and sat down with me was a young woman who had been raped. And it was tragic, I mean she was the victim of abuse and was going through a trial process where she was the witness against another sailor, they were both sailors, who was on her ship. But she said privately to me, "Chaplain, it was not consensual sex because I don't even like men, I'm a lesbian. So what should I do?"

And I wept with her and I cried with her and I asked her about her background; turns out she had been abused as a child by some men in her family and I said "let me ask you a question: all these men who abused you, where they full of the Devil or where they full of Jesus Christ?"

And she had to answer "well, of course they're full of the devil." I said that is proof right there, perhaps, that Jesus Christ himself can be the first man that you trust and I suggested we have a wedding ceremony and she got married to Jesus Christ as the first man she could ever trust.

She gave her life to Jesus. She welcomed the Holy Spirit. And I looked into her eyes as she began to weep and I said "you foul spirit of lesbianism, this woman has renounced you, come out of her in Jesus' name" and she began to wrestle with that and suddenly her eyes began to bug out and then she began to weep, and weep, and weep as the Holy Spirit forgave her sins.

She was baptized the next day and then she became one of the best evangelists in our church, started carrying around her Bible telling all of her friends about Jesus and she started dating boys.

Bryan Fischer #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On his radio program today, Bryan Fischer called on anti-gay activists to "reclaim the word discrimination" because discrimination against gays, he repeatedly asserted, is a good thing.

"Discrimination, when it comes to sexual behavior," Fischer proclaimed," is not bad, it is good, and it is necessary. The alternative is utter social chaos. So [it's] time, ladies and gentlemen, to reclaim the discrimination word when it comes to sexual matters. It's not bad; it's good. It's a virtue and it's necessary"

Oklahoma GOPer Defends Stoning Gay People To Death

A Republican candidate for Oklahoma’s state house of representatives advocated stoning gay people to death in a Facebook post last year, writing that such a plan is “totally just” because he has “some very huge moral misgivings about those kinds of sins.”

The candidate, Scott Esk, responded to a Facebook commenter who asked if “we should execute homosexuals (presumably by stoning)” by arguing that gay people are indeed “worthy of death.”

Marjorie Holsten #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

The only reason schools would teach sex-ed, Holsten explains, is that educators are playing the long game in trying to increase the number of Democratic voters: “People say to me, why would they teach such awful things to our children? If you go deep down and you connect those dots, you see that when children are desensitized to sexual things, that affects their ability at a later date to bond with a spouse. And so if you have somebody who can’t bond, they’re not going to have a stable marriage. When you have unstable, broken households, how do they vote? Democrat. So this has a very evil underlying intent.”

Marjorie Holsten #fundie rightwingwatch.org

One of the insidious things about Common Core is that teachers get their raises and get their tenure based on how the students do on the test, so if a teacher does not teach something that for a Christian teacher would be absolutely repugnant to their values, the children are not going to do well on this test. If the teacher doesn’t teach that Obama’s the messiah, the children aren’t going to answer that question as desired by the Common Core grading system and so the teacher might not be able to retain her grade. So really we need an uprising. [Emphasis added]

Daniel Lapin #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On Saturday, the Religious Right movement’s favorite rabbi, Daniel Lapin, devoted a segment of his weekly radio show to “liberalism’s love affair with Islam,” part of a running theme among right-wing activists about a purported alliance between progressives and radical Islamists. Lapin said that unlike conservatism, “liberalism is incredibly feminine” and as a result “loves [the] hard masculinity” found in Islam.

“If there is one thing that Islam has proven itself to be, certainly in recent years and even longer ago than that, it is very masculine, it is violent, it is aggressive, it is dominating and it is very firm and very confident and very sure of itself, all of these very masculine characteristics,” Lapin said.

“I believe that liberalism is drawn to it, I think liberals want to be seduced by Islam, I think liberals lay themselves down before masculine strength,” he said, continuing with the sexual analogy. “There is a reason that it is biologically impossible for a woman to rape a man, it can’t be done. And I do believe that a good deal of liberalism’s supine nature with respect to Islam, liberalism’s docility in the face of Islam, has to do with a deep desire to yield to strength.”

It is obvious that Jefferson was talking about a one way wall to prevent government from interfering with the free exercise of religion. In no way, shape or form can we surmise that prevents the church from having an influence on every area of society, as we should. The church should be influencing the media, should be influencing arts and entertainment, sports, education, business and, yes, government. Now, let's just see what has happened in the last forty years. In 1962, and 1963, prayer and Bible study were taken out of schools and the church remained silent. Their excuse? It's a political issue. How can you infer that prayer and Bible study are a political issue, I don't know, but that's what the churches say. The consequence of their silence was after 1963, teen pregnancy skyrocketed and violent crime skyrocketed.

.....

Just recently, the Supreme Court struck down parts of the Defense of Marriage Act. Again, the church remained silent. Same excuse: it's a political issue. Consequence: the erosion of the traditional family. The question is, how long are we going to remain silent? But the more important question is, will God hold us accountable for our silence?

Rep. Ted Yoho #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Recently unearthed footage of Rep. Ted Yoho speaking at Berean Baptist Church in Ocala, Florida, during his candidacy for Congress in the 2012 election cycle shows the Republican politician suggesting that only property owners should have the right to vote.

“I’ve had some radical ideas about voting and it’s probably not a good time to tell them, but you used to have to be a property owner to vote,” he said to applause.

He also called early voting through absentee ballots “a travesty” and hailed Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s move — since rescinded — to significantly reduce early voting from 14 days to eight, saying Scott’s plan didn’t go far enough. “I think it needs to be cut less than that,” he said.

[...]

He added: “If we don’t do anything in two and a half years, it’s a scary thought, if you start reading some of the stuff I’ve been reading, you’re like, this is all by designs, it sounds like a conspiracy.”

Yoho had a similar response to the next questioner who inquired about why he is running for Congress: “I fear for the country, two and a half years from now we may not be able to vote.”

Kevin Swanson #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Religious Right talk show host Kevin Swanson believes that Beyoncé Knowles' former persona, Sasha Fierce, may be a demon who has brought the pop star into Satanism.

"That's multiple personality or that's demon possession or that's psychosis," the Generations Radio host said last week. "People used to have to be taken off to insane asylums if they introduced other characters in their lives, these are people who are going to wind up in insane asylums, mental institutes for things like demon possession or psychosis."

[...]

Later in his program, Swanson lamented that homosexuality is no longer considered "one of the most devastating sins" because "it tore everything up, it tore relationships up, it tore families up, it destroyed sexuality."

"What's shifted now, it's this incredible demonic shift, where what used to be the most devastating, most horrific thing that could ever happen to a family, has become the highest virtue," he said.

Sandy Rios #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Last week on her radio show, Sandy Rios speculated that the only reason the State Department and feminists care about the kidnappings of hundreds of girls in Nigeria is because they don't realize that many of the girls targeted by Boko Haram are Christians.

Rios, the American Family Association's government affairs director, said she was just asking the question about whether feminists would care about the kidnapped girls if they knew about their religion.

"The Department of State is offering a reward of up to $7 million leading to [Abubakar Shekau's] location, of course it's because he's kidnapping girls, I guess he did the wrong thing now, it's not that their Christians, it's that they're girls, and now the feminists are - I wonder if the feminists know that these girls are Christians because maybe they wouldn't be so upset. I don't know. That's how weird this is getting."

Pat Robertson #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Pat Robertson told a 700 Club viewer today that he has “grounds for divorce” because his wife is not having sex with him regularly, speculating that she was “molested as a child” and needs serious psychological counseling.

The viewer told Robertson that he has “only been intimate with my wife a handful of times” and that “she has no interest in the bedroom,” adding: “I believe the Bible says withholding sex is wrong. Correct me if I’m wrong.”

Robertson agreed that the Bible condemns withholding sex and wondered whether the viewer’s wife has “psychological problems” resulting from childhood sexual abuse.

Glenn Beck #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Among the targets of Beck's ire is Hillary Clinton, whom he declared would soon announce that she is a lesbian if it will help her get elected in 2016.

"I'm telling you," Beck said, "Hillary Clinton will be having sex with a woman on the White House desk if it becomes popular."

Dan Calabrese #fundie rightwingwatch.org

You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

People who are advocating a righteous cause do not seek to silence all dissent and destroy those who dare to disagree. They let the truth of their position speak for itself, and they don't fear those who mistakenly fail to see the virtue of their position.

Bolshevik. OkCupid is creating fascism, not love.

The essence of fascism is the stifling of dissent. You might argue that the term doesn't apply here because the power of government isn't the driving force behind it. I would tell you that's irrelvant [sic]. The tactics of fascism are the same regardless of who is weilding [sic] the power. What matters is that they have the power and are willing to use it, and right now gay marriage activists have the power because they are able to scare the bejeezus out of just about everyone.

And just to make sure you get the message, they won't just try to silence you today. They'll go back through your history and find out if you've spoken up in the past, and punish you for that - maybe by putting pressure on your employer to take away your job. Or maybe they will conscript the power of government, forcing you to provide them services that your faith would suggest you should not provide.

This movement is evil, not because homosexuality is a "worse sin" than other sins, but because its champions are trying to not only silence but in many cases destroy those who disagree with them. The gay movement understands something. They understand that in order for their movement to ultimately succeed, they need to turn the entire culture into a mindless army of obedient adherents like the Borg on Star Trek. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Kevin Swanson #fundie #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

When you come down to things like axe murder or homosexuality and you say, ‘we’re really going to promote it and we’re going to encourage everybody in America to engage in this or at least support this thing,’ there will be people on the other side who will take an adamantly opposed position to your support of axe murdering or homosexuality. They will be intolerant, they will be very intolerant of that which is evil, like axe murdering. Didn’t God define love? See the problem with this ‘love’ thing is you can define it anyway you want. Homosexuals love their friends and cannibals love their victims, they taste good.

Jim DeMint #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Well the reason that the slaves were eventually freed was the Constitution, it was like the conscience of the American people. Unfortunately there were some court decisions like Dred Scott and others that defined some people as property, but the Constitution kept calling us back to 'all men are created equal and we have inalienable rights' in the minds of God. But a lot of the move to free the slaves came from the people, it did not come from the federal government. It came from a growing movement among the people, particularly people of faith, that this was wrong. People like Wilberforce who persisted for years because of his faith and because of his love for people. So no liberal is going to win a debate that big government freed the slaves. In fact, it was Abraham Lincoln, the very first Republican, who took this on as a cause and a lot of it was based on a love in his heart that comes from God.

Rick Wiles #homophobia #fundie rightwingwatch.org

It’s not an exaggeration to say homofascist because the German Nazi Party was homosexual, Hitler was a homosexual, the top Nazi leadership, all of them were homosexuals, it was a radical homosexual movement that gained political power, military power, and they were creating a homosexual special race. That’s what it was all about. It wasn’t this thing about an Aryan race of white people, blue-eyed, blonde-haired, white people, Hitler was trying to create a race of super gay male soldiers. That’s what he was creating. [Emphasis added]

When you understand what the real agenda of the homosexual movement was in the 30s and 40s and you see it is happening now here in the United States of America. I’m telling you, this is not an exaggeration. If it’s not stopped, it will end up in America just like it was in Germany but it won’t be the Jews that will be slaughtered, it will be the Christians.

[on homeless LGBT teens]

‘Kids are kicked out of their homes just for being who they are,’ is how the saying goes, well let me offer another possibility that I’ve heard far too often: a parent learns that a son or daughter is claiming to be gay but an underage child still lives at home, so the now-heartbroken parent puts new restrictions on some of the activities like for instance, the teen is no longer going to be having sleepovers with that same-sex friend, or if the friend is a college student or has an apartment, visits over there will not be permitted. What does the teen do? It may become a fight where the teen storms out by choice and leaves voluntarily because the homosexual relationship is more important than that of his or her parents. And when that all-important relationship ends, the teen is too stubborn or already too-involved in alcohol or drugs or the premature independence of the homosexual life and he or she would rather drift than return home. It’s not always the case of course but personal decisions are at the heart of these issues.
