One of my direct manifested encounters was surrounding my participation in the game Dungeons and Dragons back in the 80’s along with the music I listened to at the time (i.e. Suicidal Tendencies, DRI and other such demonically inspired bands). A being attacked me in the night from which it was surrounding my pile of books, maps, notes and albums in which it made loud, clear and definable noises. Once I approached, it physically came up against me but the Holy Spirit ushered it away so that it may not posses me. My friends had similar encounters, I thus got rid of that stuff. Much happened in those days and not all were as guarded as I, it seems.

Homosexuals in the Workplace. I could write a book on that topic. Years ago a homosexual asked me at least once a week when will we go out for drinks. At first I politely declined. He was determined and persistent. Finally I complained to a supervisor about his behavior. His employment was terminated the next day. I later learned that I was not the first person he harassed in that manner. He was warned on several other occasions about his behavior. I felt bad about his losing his job but he brought it upon himself.

I too witness every day the evil, arrogant, constant fowl mouthed comments of my coworkers. I try very hard to be the shining light but the deep darkness surrounding me every day is almost too much to bear. Quitting is not an option for me because I can not find another job that pays near as much as I earn now. I witness to them at every opportunity but my witnessing to them only seems to increase their behavior. It seems that they go out of their way to mock my faith. I pray continuously for them and for God to deliver me from them. I know that I am there for a reason. Perhaps one day my example will bear fruits.

My goodness! I bought all 3 guitar hero games for my 12 year old son's birthday, based on the fact that so many other kids in my son's private Christian school had it in their homes and were playing it.

As soon as I viewed it, I saw a multitude of satanic images constantly being paraded before my kid's eyes: to name a few: goats horns on an evil looking guy named "Lu" (short for Lucifer), moons and stars, pentagrams, white owls, dragons, and snakes.
These images are floating towards your child non-stop as he is playing the guitar along with the game.
Instead of returning the game, I used this as an example of what to be discerning about in life to my kids. I explained what the images meant, and how to rebuke them,and not give them any power in their lives.

I was one of those Christian Moms who said no to Pokemon, Harry Potter and the like, and kept these things away from my children. But now? Where do we draw the line? My kids are teens (almost) and need to know how to spiritually combat these elements with the Sword of the Spirit--The Word of God.

What do you all think? Where do we as parents draw the line with our teens?

The other thing that came out of an encounter with this liberal is an underlining of the spiritual war that we're in. He couldn't understand why we don't let our kids read Harry Potter and other stuff. There's a deep spiritual darkness around all of this and people who aren't seeking light as we know it do not see the darkness of the left. It's more than just socialism. It's a spiritual malignancy.

If Obama wins, it's definitely time to start stocking up on necessities and getting ready for tough times.

The magnitude of what we're up against is incredible. This is a tremendous spiritual war and my liberal friend has no idea that he's in it and has no idea that he's on the wrong side.

One of our son's lives near a smaller airport here in Central FL. He and his wife decided to pull over one day so my granddaughter could watch the parachuters jumping out of a plane. Well, when they caught a glimpse of the jumpers, they were quite taken back by what they saw! They were ALL middle eastern men with long beards and all resembled Osama bin Laden!!!

Well, it's not really anger, it's just that Google has an awful lot of clout on the Internet, and they have used that clout to basically shun and disrepect Christians and their holidays. I don't think it is very nice that they can celebrate pagan holidays and every other event under the sun, and then ignore Christian holidays and the true Son. Very tacky and disrespectful to me. That's why I use other search providers.

I think Christians have a right and somewhat of an obligation to inform each other of businesses that practice this kind of discrimination. I would want to know if a business held discriminatory practices against myself and people of my faith. We can certainly take our search business elsewhere.

The worst sin of all is unbelief. It is the only sin that will keep people from heaven. God would have forgiven Hitler if he repented and asked to be saved.

I've mentioned this before, Jeffery Dahmer accepted Christ before being murdered in prison. I find that awsome. The despicable horrible crimes he committed were forgiven by the Lord and he was saved. That same day as he was ushered into heaven by the angels, others were thrown into hell who may have devoted their entire lives to charities, good works, etc. they did not need to be saved they thought, they were good enough. Nothing unclean can be in the presence of God. Only the blood of Christ can make it possible to be in His presence.

Unfortunately, My family and I lived there for about 6 years before moving to N TX. Charlottesville is probably the most liberal/leftist city in the nation. More so that San Diego I must confess. There are in fact private schools there that are clothing optional and that if you are a christian, you are openly berated in public for being such. You want to talk about persecution in your own back yard... Charlottesville is where it is at.

We started noticing a massive decline in society there when the marches for Gay rights became more or less hate rallies against christians. There in fact, is a private school there (K-12) that teaches witchcraft as a course and a lot of satanic worship openly occurs there as well.

Pray for the Calvary Chapel there as it was one I was blessed with helping with the start-up. Pray as well for the few followers in the faith that have to deal with it (the vulgarity of the society) everyday.

I believe the Lord will begin to restore the planet to its pre-flood climate, restoring the firmament above the earth (water canopy) and the year round sub-tropical environment descriptive of Eden. Due to the water canopy's innate ability to block UV rays, and therefore drastically decrease cellular degeneration, people will age VERY slowly. (Or perhaps prolonged life is the direct result of proximity to Christ who is God). Those who look like young children may actually be 40 or so years old. Those who look like adults may actually be alot closer to 200 years old or so. It will be a very curious time we are not accustomed to.

Or to want Israel to be brought to the point where it will, at last, recognize its Messiah, so that Jesus can finally come back and bring permanent peace to Israel and the whole Middle East.

I hope that America will elect a conservative leadership, protect Christianity and roll back some of the "social experiments" that have led to our decline. No more abortion, take control of our borders and defend the right of people to worship. That's my hope for the USA.

But what I believe is that regardless of who is elected, America will continue her downward spiral into chaos. Gay agendas, filthy movies and music, sexualizing children and the attack on the family unit will continue full force. Someone once said that if God doesn't punish America then He'd have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. I don't think this is something that we can stop.

America is not listed in the Bible as a major player in the End Times. That means that we aren't a major player in Tribulation world events. If God says we're out...then we're out. This is an indication that the USA will be judged one way or another.

Just because I think that the decline of America is inevitable, that doesn't get us "off the hook". We still have the obligation to do as much as we can to make sure that more people join us for the Rapture. We can try to delay the inevitable in order to win more souls, but the fact remains that at some point...the America left on this planet will consist exclusively of unbelievers.

I've stopped watching the History or Discovery Channel a long time ago-mostly I just get angry when I view their programs, so I choose to ignore them instead. I know exactly what you mean by this. It's like one day a few years ago I woke up and did not exist consciously on this earth any more. I don't relate to anything on this earth and feel like an alien. It really wasn't a spiritual change as much as it was a physical feeling of separation and an emotional division. I've been saved for a long long time, but I think the earth hit a speed bump 4 or 5 years ago and knocked me off of the normal rotation. Very surreal.

Does anybody watch the television show "Lost"? Because I know what it's like to be on an Island where everybody is an "other", and all I want is to just go home.

Some Christians like to add in a blurb that says "Well, my cross is a faulty car or an annoying sin, or blah blah blah..." But if you were in the audience at the time listening to Christ speak, you would know he was speaking about the cross being a literal physical death. The cross was an execution device. Death to self. Death to your wants and needs. Hatred of self, even.

I believe the rapture will implode the U.S. economy by removing millions of valuable personnel from key positions.

I've heard many christians who don't believe the economy is going to collapse. They also believe America is still a great christian nation. They believe things will pick up, their business will start booming again, and all will be well again.

Others, think THIS is it. Things will get much worse, the economy will collapse, the USA will suffer some discomforts they're not used to, and all of this will lead us into THE RAPTURE! They believe Jesus is coming very soon.

Then there's those who think all will bounce back, America will turn back to God, He'll keep blessing us, etc. And in the midst of the wonder of it all, we'll be raptured.

Truthfully, which way do you HOPE it will go?
Which way do you BELIEVE it will go?

As for me, I WANT TO GO HOME! I want the Lord to wrap things up here because I can't stand this worldwide evil abounding! If it means hard times beforehand for me, then His will be done. I'll know that HE is standing at the very door! Maranatha!

I always think of everything in a spiritual war type of situation. satan's purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. Well having sex out of the design of God is definately a way to destroy one's person life. Sex is an easy weapon for satan to use to do this. Having sex, but knowing you are not going to have a baby is adding fuel to the big BOMB fire that is already burning. I don't even think we have seen the worse case of VD. If sex keeps going rampage - things are going to start falling off - I really believe as behavior worsens so do the diseases.

I watched bits and pieces of the "Simpson’s" the other day.
The episode was about the end times, and how Christians are trying to predict the Rapture. Homer tried to pinpoint the day of the rapture only to find out he was wrong. Anyways my point is that they were making fun of us "Christians" and how we believe that those who have repented of theirs sins and have a relationship with Jesus will escape the tribulation. They were saying when the rapture happens everyone will be "left below" instead of "left behind." Homer was running around telling people to repent of their sins because judgment is coming, the rapture is coming and so forth.
I don’t want to go into the full detail but i must say it was sad to see how the enemy is preparing the world for the Antichrist and how is making us believe we are fake and can not be trusted. After a non Christian sees this "rapture" episode of the Simpson’s, will most likely not take it serious when a Christian tells him/her it is the truth that judgment is coming and the rapture.

It might be worth noting that a number of scientists are extremely strong brothers and sisters. Some are proving how the biblical 7 day creation is probable, over 50 scientists have jointly written a book supporting in scientific experiment the young earth theory, scientist have....with the help of thousands of years and millions and millions of dollars...proven the existence of 10 dimensions that were foretold by a prophet well back into the OT. A number came to Christ while trying to prove the falacy of the bible. The list goes on forever.

If you are a scientist and if you are open minded and up on current science then the bible is being proven correct daily.

I have a little test I do to see if people are TRULY saved or not. I get them talking about heaven and then throw in something like "You know what's amazing is Jeffrey Dahmer was supposedly saved before he died, so we will see him in heaven."

The people that think they are going to heaven because they are "good" will always balk at that and say no way. The people that are born again don't fight it because they understand the meaning of God's grace.

I recently moved into a new apartment complex. I said in my introductory post that it seemed somehow anti-Christian, but today I found out exactly how bad it is. The single women living next to me is apparently a lesbian. As I passed her apartment, one of her "friends" walked out, and she kissed her on the mouth. I immediately stopped to tell them that they were sinning against the Lord, and it turned into a huge argument. I just got a new job, and I dont want to have to look for a new apartment, but I hate the idea of living in a place of so much sin. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach her again?
