I have gotten sort of used to the feeling I guess, but it can usually only be described as surreal. I don't enjoy worldly entertainment, I could care less about new clothes or anything. I just want to keep our family healthy and fed until the rapture...and that's pretty much all I think about. I even witnessed to a 3 year old at the doctor's office yesterday. He picked up the children's Bible and I asked him if he knows Jesus. I thought his mom might knock me out, but he ran around saying 'Jesus' and 'Bible' for the next 20 minutes. Maybe I planted a seed?

Lay down on your back in bed or on the floor or something.....and just talk...just talk to Him. Talk to Him as if He were laying on the bed next to you, and you were resting your head on His bosom. Talk to Him like a small child would talk to their father. Adore Him. He is so pleased when we marvel in adoration at Him. The joy and ecstasy you will feel is like nothing else.

It's even worse when they [atheists] make up their own bible verses and swear they read it in the bible.

I had this friend in high school who was bi-sexual (this was back in the 80's) and she said "The bible says 'two lovers can do no wrong'". I wasn't a believer then, so I just thought that it was true. I know better now.

Also, my mother used to tell me that the bible says "God helps those who help themselves." I've not seen that verse either.

People make up what they want to believe, then adhere to it as if it were Truth.

It's totally normal to feel this way. Just yesterday my eight-year-old was crying and telling me how much she hates her life here, and how badly she wants to go to Heaven. My human instinct wanted to comfort her by giving her earthly things to make her life better, but my spiritual side tells me that she is simply feeling like a lot of us do - world-weary.

Some people might feel pity for us because we don't enjoy our lives as much as those who are of the world do. But no one will pity us in the next life. Jesus told us to spend our lives laying up treasures in Heaven - not to spend them chasing after the next promotion, a bigger house, a nicer car, or a better-looking spouse.

It's hard to live in this world as a Christian. I really don't want to be an old woman in this world, seeing as how it is getting darker and darker every day. But, no matter how, soon we will be going home. Hang in there. I know how you feel.

I am curious if anyone else gets chills when reading the Bible, praying, or even reading the forums? So am I a freak or does this happen to others?

The experience is pleasant, I love when it happens and wish I felt like that all the time. Typical I have chills (goosebumps) that build until the sensation is very intense. Sometimes I have tears of the joyous sort and it usually ends with a very peaceful feeling and praise.

I just never asked anyone I guess. I know people get chills but usually they are not from something pleasant happening. These are very pleasant, joyous, happy chills. I probably should not pray while driving though, as they are seriously distracting

Actually, this was exactly the conversation I had with a Christian friend of mine from church last June. I told her that I felt like I was losing my mind, and I truly felt detached, a sense of 'depersonalization'. Sometimes I feel as if I'm just watching my life in a movie, and that I'm not even real. She got so excited that she started laughing. She said, "Don't you get it??? That's because you are not supposed to feel like you belong here! God is preparing your soul, just like you asked Him to!"

My husband works 2nd shift at his job so he comes home late at night. When he came home this evening we went out to grab a bit to eat at an all night diner not far from home. While we were there, a young girl came in that I know. She's not a Christian. I talked to her about Jesus. She didn't want to hear it. SO I told her that if the Rapture happened I wanted her to get my little dog, Moppet. I said...and I quote; "If the rapture happens, you're not going because you wont give your life to Jesus." She said...and I quote "I know. But don't worry, I'll take care of Moppet for you." She didn't even care that she could miss the rapture! THEN........

Another young girl came in that was also a friend of my daughters when she was growing up (My daughter talked to both girls all the time about the Lord but neither gave their lives to Him) This girl had tried to commit suicide about 8 months ago... we haven't seen her since just before this event....I asked her how she was doing with it and she said she was fine now. Then I said, "If you had have succeeded in committing suicide, you do know where you would be right now, don't you?"

The girl actually said...actually said, "oh, I know I'm going to hell!"

Dear Lord help me! It makes me want to scream at them.."ARE YOU INSANE?" I wish I could just shake some sense into them! Maybe it's that they don't believe the Lord really IS coming back! Or maybe it's that they really don't care! I don't know.

I just really want to go home!

last year my rabbit (see avatar) started to go blind in one eye (cataract) i prayed to the Lord last December to please spare her good eye...i could see a faint cataract forming & i prayed that it would not develop like the other one i thanked our Lord Jesus so much because the cataract didn't get worse
sadly at the end of February, 2 weeks ago i noticed that the cataract was getting bigger & whiter. i realized that BB was going blind in that eye too i was sad & cried but i didn't think that my Lord hadn't answered my prayer...because of him i'm able to keep going and accept what has happened to my beautiful girl.

i've come to understand that even when things don't go well our Lord Jesus is still our wonderful Lord & Savior no matter what!

thank you Lord for giving me your grace and peace to accept that not everything in life turns out how you want it too

I woke up this morning with Jesus on my mind and in my heart. I was crying before my feet even hit the floor. God is so good! I love Him more and more every day! I asked my husband last night what was wrong with me? I cry at the drop of a hat anymore. If it's about the Lord, I'll end up crying! He looked at me and said simply, "It's the love of God."

I just want to go home so bad! I want to see my Lord and thank Him for all He's done for me. I could not thank Him enough. Even if I stayed on my knees for the rest of my life, it would not be enough.

It's a preclude to the one world religion. When the pope (Catholic) and the Muslims create a permanent dialog (meaning they are going to try to relate to each other's religion, or basically say they tolerate each other), that is two religions merging into one.

Where hubby worked, there was a "nice Muslim." Most people got along with him and this guy rarely, if ever, spoke of his religion. He would often bring treats to the office that he made and the people would rave about how good they were. Well, when 9/11 happened, He CHEERED LOUDLY as he, along with the other employees, watched the buildings go down on TV. He shouted with joy that his "brothers" had succeeded and that we Americans "deserved what we got." It sure SHOCKED his fellow employees.

I don't think it's so much that God has/will abondon the USA. I think it's more that the USA has abandoned God. From the youngest embryo murdered to the President forcing Israel to give up land, to homosexuals blatantly having sex in the streets in front of children and MOCKING His Son by taking the picture of the Last Supper and filling it with homosexuals in skimpy leather costumes. I think God is shedding tears over this once proud and God-fearing nation that has turned its back on Him. I pray that He will come and take us home, I have grown so weary of the pain, hatred, anger, deception of this world.

I got the belt and no problems here. We used the belt one time on my almost 6 year old daughter for being soooo defiant one day several months ago. Afterwards we felt so bad that we never did it again, it really bruised her behind. But we still do spank and use a silicone spatula for the times she really acts up. The bible does say this is the best way to discipline a child and I agree....having been thru it myself, i deserved every whippin I got I am glad my parents were strict with me because I think I turned into a good person

Yoga is basically Hindu- eastern meditation form of demon worship. The New Testament is chock full of warnings from Paul, Peter and Jude about the Apostasy and falling away from the faith in the end times. As a parent, you need to inform yourself about what is happening rampantly today in the church, just as carefully as you would be diligent to keep poison out of the reach of your children. I saw on TV once that 99% of people who claim to be an atheist, can not pass a lie detector test when asked, "Do you believe in God?"

I also read that most who claim to be an atheist, had a very poor (if not bad) relationship with their earthly father while growing up. Therefore, because they never felt loved and accepted by their earthly father, whom they SEE... have extreme difficulty in perceiving how this Heavenly invisible Father could possibly give 2 cents about them.

SO, I decided to put this information to the test.

Whenever someone tells me they are an atheist, I look them square in the eye and say;

"You know, studies have proven that 99% who claim to be an atheist, can't pass a lie detector test."

They usually grin at me, but nervously.

THEN I SAY;

I also read that most never felt loved by their dad's. So it's hard for them to believe that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them unconditionally.

By this time, they look serious.

Then I ask,

"Do you feel loved and accepted by your dad?"

And at that moment brothers and sisters, you see the pain in their eyes.

So don't believe them when they say they don't believe in God. Try to get to the heart of the matter. Some so-called ex-atheist I once knew are now totally in love with Jesus! HALLELUJAH!!!!

I saw that report on a streamer on Fox and that a tsunami warning was issued and then cancelled. Hmmm, wonder if all the quakes that have occured in this region over the past 2 years have anything to do with Indonesia having the largest Islamic population of any nation on Earth? Maybe God is trying to get their attention, and I pray that every Muslim gets to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ at least once before it's too late.

I know I'll probably get as much flak from this next post as I did two years ago, but this is weighing heavily on my heart and mind, and I believe that another "threshhold line" is being approached with the movie Juno which is up for Academy Award for Best Picture. Two years ago, when Brokeback Mountain was nominated for Best Picture of the Year for the 78th Academy Awards, I wrote that we -- The United States of America -- as a nation should expect Judgment from God if Brokeback... was the winner of Best Picture. I believe that, this year, if Juno wins Best Picture, we should see God's judgment as well. I may receive a lot of criticism (just like I did in `06 with Brokeback...), but I believe that this abomination of a movie is one of the worst ever made, and the fact that it has been nominated for Best Picture is a line in which the USA cannot, and must not, cross, as this will affect millions of teens world wide, encouraging them to totally disrespect their parents and their parents' authority, and enter into (or continue in) sexual relationships, which -- as statistics show -- is unhealthy, dangerous, and ultimatetly destructive for all parties involved. The fact that Juno glosses over the consequences of teenage sexual promiscuity, teenage pregnancy, and parental authority, not to mention glorifies divorce, and makes a mockery of sexual purity in general, is enough to make one wretch and weep at the direction modern society is going towards. I seriously fear for world-wide society at large, and US Society in particular, if such a movie is given the highest award in the world that a film can receive. And yes, I do blelieve that God will seriously expedite his execution of sentence for the USA if Juno wins best picture...

I was standing in the bible isle of a local Barnes and Noble trying to select a nice purse-sized King James Bible for my future daughter-in-law. A man stood beside me, sighing and scratching his head. Finally, he reached into his pocket and dialed into his cell phone.

“Hon, there are SO MANY bibles to choose from! WHICH one should I get?”

I tried not eavesdropping on his conversation, but he was pacing up and down the isle, hoping his wife would give him some insight. I sorted through the bibles, trying to make up my mind on size and design. Sometimes I would accidentally grab a NKJV, NASB, or a NIV, thinking it was the KJV. It was becoming confusing even for myself!

The man slipped his cell phone back into his pocket, sighing loudly, and glanced at me. I knew what was about to come.

“Ma’am, can you help me please?”

I stood up and waved my hand at the entire shelves of bibles.

“Sir, G-d is not the author of confusion!”

Did anyone hear the news last night about the cost of wheat going up? Some countries are actually guarding their flour like it was gold or something. Anyways the cost I believe is going up 40 or 50%. Our current supply in the USA is down 60%. They are blaming it on farmers planting corn for biofuel. Also this reminds me a several threads I read on this site about people feeling like they needed to stock up on food, maybe because Jesus will come and the Trib will start and remember how Joseph had told his people to store food up for a drought of 7 yrs was coming, kinda reminds me of that, so that people during the trib will have food. This is all leading up for Rev 6 a quart of wheat for a days wages. Prophecy is being revealed before our eyes. Jesus is coming really soon! [Dancing smiley]

I had to do this in high school (my parents made me go to an unGodly high school) and it was full of all of this kind of indoctrination, and seemed to me to be telling everyone how to have sex and not to NOT have it!! AND that being gay was absolutely OKAY!!

Besides, why are they telling kids how to use condoms?? If kids were following God's word, they'd know that A) you only have sex AFTER you get married!!! and B) when you DO have sex after you're married, it's TOTALLY wrong to use birth control of ANY kind!!!

ANY sex-ed should be ONLY about ABSTINENCE!!

My husband, father and mother are saved, but they think I'm nuts. They hold to the "nobody knows for sure" standard. Today my mother told me that she is 'afraid' that a certain person will be elected president, and I just told her I'm not afraid of anything. Later we were shopping and she found a cute shirt that she thought I should have for NEXT Valentine's day. I smiled and said, "Let's wait and see if we're even here next year." She rolled her eyes and said, "Oh, will you stop?" But yeah, everyone seems to think I'm *worried* about it and they can't seem to understand that I'm excited (and terribly obsessed with the idea).

My DD is in the 8th grade in Montgomery County. DH and I discussed this issue and were greatly distressed about this class. It is horrible. They are shoving the homosexual agenda down our kids throats. My DD is a born again christian and we talked with her. She told me that she wanted to attend the class to share the truth. She said she will probably be the only person standing up for God. When they discuss homosexuality she will share that it is a sin and not normal. That people are not born homosexuals but are born sinners.

Praise God for giving me a DD that is bold for Christ.

This is true as far as a written account goes, and written holy scripture didn't come about until Moses.

But from Adam to Moses, biblical accounts were oral tradition.

The biblical account of a global flood and the Epic of Gilgamesh come from the same source...the early descendants of Noah.
The difference is: One gives full credit to God and the other does not.

It is not up to the "rich white churches" in the community to make blacks feel "accepted". That's ridiculous. I know some African American "Christians", and if these at Obama's church are anything like the ones I know, they are substituting Christian principles for the color of their skin, and the "pity us" agenda. They need to get their own houses in order, and put their principles in place. You never know what kind of blessings are waiting for those that have first what should be first. And, it should not be skin.

Blacks are afforded every bit of opportunity as whites in this country...sometimes more. I'm tired of the rhetoric that they are not.

I'm not a scholar, but I believe God and I think those stories were copied from biblical accounts.

i mean i only read the parts of the kor'an that my grandfather wanted me to see. My grandfather has been helping me with evangalism and understanding christianity better, and it helps to understand other religions so when you get in a heated debate you know what you're talking about.. But it just angers me so much to think that more than 1.3 billion people are muslim... It angers me even more that bush called Islam a peace teaching practice. The Norse Mythology twists scripture (not always a "fable") and speaks of a group of peoples who escaped the Gen. flood on a boat, and these people were of the god Odin, a norse god.

The Internet has opened the gates of Hell into homes of the average person. Pornography in specific is so evil that words cannot describe. Pornography has infected the minds of men and has infiltrated the Occult/Witchcraft without people even knowing it. Pornography is a form of witchcraft and occult. Men in specific are targeted and the grand design of satan is to destroy the souls of men and their families with this evil. This was not even possible 15 yrs ago! The decay this has caused men and young men is frightening. Non christians have no conviction about this, it has been normalized and it causes men to hate their wives and replace it with a fantasy that is perverted. ALL christian households that have internet access should have strong internet filtering technology. It shocks me to learn that most Christian men do not take this proactive approach to protect their souls and families against porn coming into their homes This alone is a sign that Christ is coming in our generation, and very soon.

Homosexuality: Much has been written about this already. All I will add is that this movement is the same that destroyed Sodom. Our country is quickly becoming like europe or canada. The things that are normal today would be unthinkable 20 yrs ago!
