Your assessment about the lack of respect for God is something that I have been noticing for quite some time. It happens when people don't see the full character of God. They like to talk about His love and compassion, but they refuse to see His wrath, jealousy, and judgments. If we truly KNOW God, fully, we cannot help but fall on our faces before Him. We would never dream of adding any pagan texts to His Word. May God have mercy on us all!
I don't see any reason God couldn't decide to bring forth some dragons/dinosaurs to really demonstrate His power.
I remember watching a program many years ago where this scientist had conducted experiments on humans and different types of animals. When the people died there was a noticible reduction of weight at the moment of death (the beds were on a scale) and with the animals there was no change in weight at the moment of death. His conclusion was that something left the body, but he wasn't sure what.

Most of you have responded as if it was the life of a saved person who was going to lose it... the slightly more difficult hypothetical question is when the life of an unsaved person is at stake. Would I renounce Christ to save the life of an unsaved friend of mine, so that she might have a chance at life and coming to accept salvation? I would say that I wouldn't. What sort of example would I set if I were to renounce Christ before her?

Who would have thought a few years ago, something like Broke Back Mountain would be allowed on the screen. It won't be long before it's illegal to say homosexuality is a sin and that it is wrong, those statements will become 'hate speech', if you would have told my gparents 30 years ago, that this would be the way it is, they would have laughed themselves silly, they wouldn't believe the country we are living in now if they were alive.
So this is the next step, the breaking down of civilization, divorce, abortion, fornication (sex outside marriage), homosexuality, sex with children, multiple wives, sex with animals. It'll all be legal and acceptable. And anyone who disagrees with it or calls it sin, will be prosecuted for hate speech and bigotry.

Tonight as my husband and I were leaving our house to go into town, we noticed a very bright light. Looked up and saw the crescent moon and this huge light next to it. It was so big and bright we were not sure what it was, I got so excited that it might be Jesus getting ready to call us up that I got all excited. Alas.....it was just another hopeful moment, and beautiful sight. But the senses are going into full expectation that it will be soon, very soon. Halleluja!!!!
Hurt people- hurt people. I think atheists have gone through something painful in their lives. Most of us have gone through something painful in life. Some people cling, cry out to or look for and find God. By saying they dis-believe in God, they believe that they are striking back at or hurting Him in some way.

You know, I just had a really morbid thought. If I were to die and have my organs donated, what would happen to the people who received my organs when the Rapture happens? I mean if my body is reconstructed and glorified, to the parts vanish from the donee's body? I think I'll leave that situation to God (or not be a donor).

In my experience there are very few true atheists, but rather anti-theists. Everyone knows that God exists. They can try to convince themselves that He doesn't because of their own personal stubborness or rebellion, but His Law is written on the heart of every man. Of course, they don't act like this and they will NEVER admit it, but they know God exists deep deep down, but they are just trying to ignore Him.

Homosexuality wasn't always accepted,you know. Because people actually had that moral sense that it is wrong. But now, thanks to plenty of years of indoctrination, the next generation is more inclined to be gay because that sense of morality has been STOLEN from them!
Homosexuals will never know the true happiness, fulfillment, and love that a marriage can bring. I don't know care what kind of limelight they shine, its the counterfeit to what God created us for.

As far as gay couples or singles adopting; What are we thinking? Being gay is being sexually deviant to begin with. Why do we think that they are not going to molest their adopted children? I think though,that molestation would be more of a problem with the men. I think that women gay or otherwise, have an innate sense of just wanting to rear children.
When my oldest son was just 3 years old, my gay brother asked if he could take a walk with him. Now as far as I know my brother has never molested any children. At first I didn't find the request strange and let my son go with him. After all they were just taking a walk around the neighborhood. While they were gone though, I got this terrible feeling. It may have been the Holy Spirit giving me warning or just maybe my over sense of protectiveness. But I decided that if they were not back in a few minutes I was going after them. They did come back in just a few minutes, but I never got over that feeling. I determined right then and there that I would never let my young son alone with him. Now, if I could feel that way about my own brother, who I love, then something is just not right. I just don't trust gay men to not try and molest little children.

Funny you should say that buzz! I once read where atheists obviously don't believe in God, however...they are glad that there are people on this Earth that do. Why would they say such a curious thing...Their answer was that they know that Christians, for the most part, are good people who care about others and make this planet a better place to live by balancing out people who do not do these kinds of things. What a shame they can't draw a correlation between the two!

Carbon dating has a circular logic that tries to prove archeology with geology then geology with archeology. It is unreliable considering +or- 1 million years to be good. If carbon dating is what you are basing your agnostic beliefs on then you should reconsider
