I'm tired of my son being taught that we came from monkeys in school. There's a pile of bricks in my backyard and I don't see it turning into a shed anytime soon! It really bothers that just because I can't afford to put him in a nice christian school, I have to have him endure all the nonsense being taught in public school!

The reason I ask this is that a co-worker's father has just recently been diagnosed with cancer (they are very catholic). The doctor's didn't know how bad it was until further testing could be done. Just today this co-worker said that the doctors say that the prognosis looks good. When she was telling us she said "thank you everyone for all of your prayers". She was telling this to me and two other girls. The two other girls are Catholic, I am the only saved Christian.

So I feel like the only prayer that counted was mine and that God doesn't even listen to their prayers. Could that be so or am I sounding a bit arrogant to even think that?

One of my best friends in life is a Completed Jew who got Saved 2 months before I did. About 1 year after salvation he called me in the middle of the night in a state of fear and confusion. It didn't stop though, so finally he sat up to see what was causing this agravation, in the dark room with no lights on he saw about a half dozen demonic beings scurrying around the side and the foot of his bed. They were having a type of taunting victory party right their in his bedroom. Marks blood ran cold and he immediately screamed out, get out of here in the name of Jesus Christ. The demons stopped what they were doing and looked at him in shock that he could evidently see them and in a second they dissapeared. They were small and disgusting in appearance but very real to him. And knowing him as i do i believe this happened exactly as he said it.

I sit here now in agony; it wasn't at all like I thought it was going to be. I thought it was all over. And it is, but I never expected to be like this.

I remember talking to you; we were laughing about the "Fundie" that we had heckled earlier that morning while we weere crossing the street. We had given that old guy the business, and got the whole coffeehouse lauging. He was in tears, and we thought that was just hillarious. Old guy crying; what a riot!

Then a second later, you let out a scream. The last thing I saw was the bus coming at me; I hadn't watched the walk light.

The next thing I know, I'm here.

I can't tell how much time has passed. It seems like only a few seconds, but there's no clocks here. No sun, moon, no sky. It's dark. Very dark.

The guy that stands watch is the only company I have, and he doesn't speak much. When he does, it frightens me. He stands taller than I do, not that I can tell how tall I stand now. How it is that I can see him, I can't explain. He just seems to stand out.

I have never felt this scared before.

I recently moved into a new apartment complex. I said in my introductory post that it seemed somehow anti-Christian, but today I found out exactly how bad it is. The single women living next to me is apparently a lesbian. As I passed her apartment, one of her "friends" walked out, and she kissed her on the mouth. I immediately stopped to tell them that they were sinning against the Lord, and it turned into a huge argument. I just got a new job, and I dont want to have to look for a new apartment, but I hate the idea of living in a place of so much sin. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach her again?

Before the flood, the environment was different. There was no rain. Even man lived longer lives. But after the flood, lifespans began to decrease. If the change in environment affected the lifespan of humans, warm-blooded creatures, then it also affected the lifespan of reptiles.

Another scientific point is that reptiles never stop growing. Now imagine the preflood world. Man lived hundreds of years, compared to the average of 70-90 years today. Reptiles were created just as humans were and if they naturally lived alongside humans, then they would have also lived as long. Imagine a reptile living 500+ years in ideal weather and remember the fact that reptiles never stop growing.

Noah would most likely have taken smaller reptiles on board the ark to save space. Immediately after the flood, these reptiles would have grown and lived fairly long lives, but as their offspring adapted to the environment, the lifespans would have decreased, along with their sizes. If any of the larger reptiles survived they also may have been killed by humans who saw them as a threat.

There's not much mention of the preflood world in the Bible, only that it was wicked. After the flood, there is mention of two beasts that could be dinosaurs, the Behemoth and Leviathan. As far as their demise, the leviathan were killed for food.

And if any continued to grow large, as I previously stated, they most likely would have been killed because they were seen as a threat.

So I'm really trying to avoid (boycott) companies I come across that glorify sin as something to be proud of. I recently added McDonalds to my 'do not go to' list for their gay fries and general support of sin.
Today I find that Facebook is celebrating pride month with a gay button and then I see my favorite baseball team (New York Mets) are having a gay day or pride day or whatever. I'm a pretty heavy user of facebook and a huge baseball fan. I'm really not sure what to do here. I guess I need to throw these idols down too. Ive already given up tv and movies and a large number of businesses already over this stuff. Looks like soon I'll just have to chill in the crib doing nothing but eating chickfila all day.
