Looks like I made it too. Twice. I wonder if being made fun of on the internet because of Christ is the same as persecution? And if it is, am I laying up treasures in heaven because of it?

I personally do not believe in the evolution theory and imagine that 30 years from now, people will look back and marvel at how universally society, our schools, and the greater scientific community embraced as fact, a theory, that has no empirical scientific proof. If you just think about how complicated the human brain is (let alone the human person), its mind boggling to think it was created through random mutation assisted by natural selection any more than if you left a monkey in a room with a typewriter for a million years, you would expect it would ultimately type out (perfectly without error) Shakespare's Hamlet or winds would, over that period, happen to pick up dirt and debri and configure a working jet aircraft (both significantly less complicated than human life - or animal life, or even a single cell, for that matter).

It seemed back in the 1980s that every pastor was preaching on the Rapture. Now...not so much. I see this as a sign that we are even closer!

The Bible, when actually studied and not shredded by skeptical analysis, reveals a great deal about God's nature.

I would just like to say that last night I felt a strong urge to get a rapture ready kit together... I put a couple of tracts inside, a couple of book tracts, and an apologetic book that shows that Jesus has to be real... . I also have a sealed envelope that says 'Do Not open unless millions dissappear: The Rapture' With a dated letter showing that I knew about this before hand.

Your assessment about the lack of respect for God is something that I have been noticing for quite some time. It happens when people don't see the full character of God. They like to talk about His love and compassion, but they refuse to see His wrath, jealousy, and judgments. If we truly KNOW God, fully, we cannot help but fall on our faces before Him. We would never dream of adding any pagan texts to His Word. May God have mercy on us all!

I have no doubt that those who control financing of movies make sure that the Lord's name is used in vain. Call me paranoid but I honestly think they withhold financing for a movie until a certain amount of defamation of God get's put into the script. Have you ever watched a great movie and all of a sudden there it is, somebody mutters it. It seems so out of place. It is very calculating and very intentional.

We had been concerned about our much-loved dog being cared for when we leave in the Rapture. Bailey was only seven and in good health when he just upped and died on us the other morning. He died quickly and peacefully with the family surrounding him, but when we started questioning why it happened (as we all do, even though it all ends with "blessed be the name of the Lord"), we remembered the rapture connection. Suddenly we felt like the rapture was going to be very soon and God was sparing us the worry.

It just seems weird that we've been praying for Bailey to have a long and healthy life and then he just drops dead!! Could be the devil just making us miserable, but God could've spared him, so since we believe it's God's will that he died, we don't want to get another dog. Hopefully and just maybe, we'll see Bailey again someday!! But, hmmm, get ready everyone!!

My daughter is 7 years old (2nd grade) and attends a public grade school here in Washington State.

I was just informed tonight that my daughter was required to draw a picture of Obama in her art class today. My wife and I just found out tonight because my daughter was coloring a picture by herself and my wife just happen to ask what she was drawing, she said OBAMA. We asked her why and thats when she told us about her art class today. My wife and I looked at each other at the same time. To add to the insult, it is the wife of my daughters rec basketball coach.

Should I be as mad or disgusted as I am? I couldn't help but think some liberal was pushing their agenda on my kids. I can see maybe George Washington or Abraham Lincoln,.... but Obama!

I dont know alot of this subject but I had some neighbors that moved in a couple of years back, they seemed nice, but after a small get together, we found out they was Pagan. Well they moved a few months later.

Their are some important thing's to remember when talking of Demon's.
Demon's are not to be confused with fallen angel's.
let me give an example.

Fallen angel's have no such problem.

These are very possibly the beings that are released into the air when the waters were lifted up on the second day of restoration.
Hence the Lord withheld his approval by not declaring it to be very good.

Personally I feel that masturbation is the greater evil. If you sit down and look at pornography, you are being tempted. If you walk away, you have achieve victory over that temptaiton. But to go to the next step is to give in to that temptation, which is where the real damage takes place.

I believe it can be more or less proved, or at least there is better evidence for the truth of the Bible than the Gita. First off let me state that the philosophy of the Gita makes more sense to me on a rational level than that of the Bible, and yet I believe in the message of Jesus. Just because something is rational or seems sensible or can be explained convincingly, doesn't mean it is necessarily true!

The evidence of the Bible comes from the multiple testimony of people who witnessed a man who came not just with words of wisdom, but was witnessed performing a crescendo of astonishing, effortless miracles culminating in raising himself from the dead, as he had said he would! The witnesses held on to their testimony for all their lives in the face of serious persecution. Most of them were killed for that testimony.

Another piece of evidence comes from the fact that the coming of Jesus was foretold in the writings of the Old Testament, which is dated to well before the birth of Christ.

As for the Bhagavad Gita, tradition has named an author for it, but there are no independent witnesses testifying soberly to the miracles of Krishna. In fact it is only a part of a much larger epic, the Mahabharata, which seems a legend much like Homer's Odyssey.

That's the beauty of Heaven... we can leave our brains behind.

There are just as many (if not more) Christian scientists (and many non-christian ones too) who have realized that evolution has NO basis in fact or evidence and have dropped the lie altogether.

So, how is petroleum made anyway? Lots of pressure and heat over time? How much time? Your average, run of the mill encyclopedia says millions of years. We know that's false, so just how long does it take to produce? I wonder if we could reproduce flood-like conditions in a lab that would, say, turn some vegetable scraps and an animal carcass into petroleum?

What are the moral implications of this? If people would realize that the flood of the Bible is true, then they'd realize that part of what they put in their gas tank is people. Or am I way off here? God could very well have put fossils on Earth to deceive scientists, in order to test their faith. And in the case of Evolutionists, they failed the test miserably. Sorry, I will take Genesis over fallible humans any day, until God tells me otherwise.

Well, I won't say that I consider this evidence...but, just to contribute to this thread, the other day we were taking our walk down the trail and we saw a very large flock of vultures in the field near us...about 8 of them.

We assume there was something dead and they were feasting...BUT we didn't go and take a closer look (for obvious reasons).

Actually today, my son came home saying his teacher was telling the class about how scientist are saying that the world will end in 2012. He went on to tell the class all kinds of finding and such and with enthusiasm. My son asked the teacher, so these scientist are professing to be God, because only God know when the end will come. My son told me his teacher was furious, but I am so proud of him for sticking up for what he believes in.

This teacher hates my sons because he always refutes what the world says with God's word (Truth). I want to cry because it touches my heart to know my son stands by his faith in God.

I hope he will take that faith with him when it gets out on his own and not let the world sway him.

We do not watch anything with magic, yes that includes all disney movies with witches, fairy god mothers, all of that... the new scooby doo movies are a no no here. I just recently realized how bad the care bear movies are that I watched as a kid, that have now again. We dont do any of the pokemon stuff or any of the like. My nurse and I discuss endtime events on a daily basis. This morning she came in and told me that a friend of hers is a insurance agent. The most common question over the past few weeks has been : "how quickly can my family collect insurance money after the rapture?". She tells them that they should not worry about that, they need to worry about gettng them saved.

I realized, why would an athiest be worried about me filling his daughters head with doctrine, unless somewhere deep inside he believes somehow there is some truth in it. An athiest doesnt believe in God, so why would he worry about my so called doctrine?????
