Jas, our society may have elevated women to equal status with men. However, the Scriptures tell us a wife's role is to be a help meet while the husband is the head of household. This is the stance we will take here on this board as it's Scriptural and not worldly. So feel free not to post in threads that upset you or don't meet with your interpretation of a marriage relationship.
As for unbelievers, I have no doubt that we sound a bit touched in the head. But I imagine we'll sound a lot saner to them when we disappear right out of our clothes in front of them!

The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob cannot be manipulated by evil. As certain people act in evil - murdering, lying, destroying, etc. and say Allah told them to do it. This is not the one true God, the God of Israel. This is evil and has no place with God. My frustration is dying down now, as I remember that my God, the only God, is compassionate, merciful, forgiving and giving and loves justice. This is not Allah.
We have a shofar in our home. We had just finished watching a DVD about the Book of Revelation and I had gone on to bed while my husband stayed up for a little while longer. I was just about to fall asleep and I hear a trumpet sound. My heart skipped a beat or two and then I realized it was my husband practicing on the shofar in preparation for the Feast of Trumpets. I can't wait to hear the real trumpet sound.
I have found myself looking towards the sky a lot lately. For no reason I'll pull back the shades and and just look up at the sky. I haven't had any hightened senses in the physical realm, but my spirit has been hightened big time.
LOL at the posts about wearing clean underwear and such. I shared with my Bible study group last night that I need new dentures, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $2000+ for something that's going to be left behind. We all feel that the rapture is very soon and agreed that as long as I wasn't having major problems with my present choppers then there really wasn't an urgency to get new ones. I think I'll use the $2000 to pay off a couple of bills before I get out of here.

I am confused,,,,my niece went to a bible study and I was very proud of her,,,,but when I found out it wasnt "bible study" at all but a study of the "purpose driven life" book, I was very dissapointed! Is this the new age way? I love reading the bible, its the only book we need to study as Christians.
Just remember, on September 29th, at sundown, you may actually hear some trumpets and some shouts, as more and more people are signing on to join the Feast of Trumpets celebration, by going outside at sundown, blowing whatever you have that comes close to a shofar and shouting to the Lord. It is going to be our way of saying 'Come, Lord Jesus, we are ready'. If you don't have any kind of horn to blow, you could maybe record the sound of a shofar and play that! My neighbors, which aren't many, will probably think I have finally flipped my wig, so to speak, but hey, do I care? Nope

There's a big First Baptist Church in my city that had plans to build a BIGGER church 2 years ago. I mean they had pretty much everything locked up-the funds, agreements with city leaders over the land, etc.
However-after 6 months or so of a sign saying "Future sight of our First Baptist Church" on some land near our house, that sign hasn't been seen since, and that piece of land is still nothing but growing grass. No workers, cement, grass cut w/ mud and dirt all over the place, or even a single blueprint.
Obviously, this church scratched their plans to build a new and bigger church.
It shouldn't have had anything to do with money, b/c like I said, the funds for it were already in the bag. And their agreements with contractors, city leaders, et al were locked in stone as well.
Pt being that maybe, JUST MAYBE, God may have gave discernment to that pastor to not to do so...for the reason being IF we're approaching the end times, then building a new church would have been unecessary.
Just a thought that hit me today, that's all.

I must agree with you that the scientists to which we are directly referring are not considering the Lord...they are, in fact, acting foolishly (even, dare I say, "dumb"). When God is not pointed to for the answer, the answer is no answer at all.
Hmmm...I must admit that I do that as well...at the end of the day we need to all do what you stated: Raise our hands and declare, "It is God!"

I agreed with you earlier, but not now. There is moral killing and immoral killing. Killing in self-defense is moral. Killing a murderer is moral. Pre-meditated killing of an innocent (murder) is immoral. God commands (flawed as we are) that we kill murderers. Allowing murderers to live cheapens life, is unloving and non-compassionate to the victim and any surviving family and friends.

There is someone that I know who has the spiritual gift of discerning evil spirits. One of the members of our church visited with this person and when they touched he saw that an evil spirit was oppressing them. Anyway, I also find out that someone else had said that this same person (with the evil spirit) has a spirit of suicide on them. Well, the next day I receive a vision of the oppressed person being crucified. At first, I think that he is just being drained by physical things but later realize that this is also a picture reflecting suicide. Do any of you believe me???

Yes, I am so ready!! My thoughts and feelings change from "we are right on the brink" to "worldwide events are not fully set in place yet" to "buckle up and take a big breath". I should be doing house maintenance--like replacing the 25 year old water heater and furnace, new paint and carpeting, etc. But mostly I really don't want to invest effort and time into things without a dire, immediate need. Anyone else dream about what their mansion is going to look like? Also, I should be exercising and eating healthy, but I also know this is just a temporary body that may not be needed much longer. (Yes, I know this is not the healthiest thinking, and not to use this as an excuse to not take care of myself.) I'm really ready for my new body that doesn't crave and absorb carbs like a sponge!

I went to a Unitarian funeral last month and it was the saddest thing I've ever seen.....I can't tell you how lost these people are.
I'm very anxious and I wish the Rapture was yesterday. I've had a couple of "false starts" lately where I've thought I've heard a trumpet blast but alas it was just my imagination fueled by heightened anticipation.
This may seem odd, and may not be the correct thread for this, but over the last several months my 5 senses seem to be more acute than at any point in my life. I can hear noises that are farther away or are quieter than what I would normally hear clearly. My sense of smell has become the most acute. When walking outside, I am enjoying wonderful aromas that I have never smelled before and cannot identify. With outdoor flowers, I can smell them from a greater distance than ever. Keep in mind I am aging, not getting younger!
I and others here in the RR forum have mentioned how cloud formations seem especially unusual this year. In addition to that for me, it seems like the leaves and grass are more vividly green than ever before. In a nutshell, my senses--especially sight, hearing, and smell--have been suddenly sharpened.
My thought process regarding this increased sensory ability is that perhaps the Lord is giving me a preview of coming attractions so to speak. It could be a way of assuring me that He is at the door and that the Rapture is exceedingly close.
So, yes, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go!

I don't think the A/C has to be of European origin. I'm not sure of the verse, but I believe in the Bible it says that he will be of the people who destroyed the Temple. Most people think Roman, and assume European origin.
But if you think about it, the Roman army often drafted soldiers from the local populations. So if the legion that destroyed the temple was made of locals, they probably would have been Arabic racially, because local Jews would not have ransacked their own Temple. Am I correct in thinking that?
And it's interesting to consider that Barack Obama is about 40% Arabic on his father's side. I'm not saying that he is the A/C, but I think its a little hasty and even irresponsible to say that he is definitely not.
We should just trust in God, and wait and keep our eyes peeled.

I am married to a UU. They are very deceiving. I didn't really know what a UU was when I married my husband. He said he went to church, I asked if he believed in Jesus and he said yes.....later he told me that Jesus was a nice guy with some good moral stories. He doesn't believe in hell and he tells me CONSTANTLY how intolerant Christians are.....
10+ years of this garbage and I'm still sticking around trying to witness to him. I have just about given up-it gets worse all the time.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have run screaming in the other direction....
I think the problem with the "all innocent babies and children go to heaven" is that people tend to look at babies and children who die as eternally being babies or children. Actually, it's only the physical body that goes through "ages;" the spirit simply "is" - it doesn't change. So, a person who dies - regardless of age - has a spirit that is at the peak of perfection and ageless. There aren't "baby" spirits or "child" spirits.
Nowhere in the Bible have I ever read of a so-called "age of accountability;" the only place I ever heard that so-called "doctrine" from was the RCC - the same place that gave us the "doctrines" of Papal infallability and the Assumption. {eye-rolling smiley}
To say ALL babies who die go to Heaven presents some problems:
Would Saddam or Hitler, for example, have gone to Heaven if they had died as infants? Or someone who would have grown up to become an unrepentant murderer or pediophile? I don't think so! As Psalm 58:3 says, "The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies."
What about free will? God values our free will so much, that He gives us the CHOICE to reject Him, and then spend eternity in hell if that's what we prefer - even though our doing so would break His heart. To say a baby or child who dies before a certain age will automatically go to Heaven is stripping him of his free will, and I don't believe God can/would do that. [...]
If ALL babies who died got a free ticket to Heaven, that would make abortion a great blessing, instead of the curse that it is! Just think - a way to GUARANTEE your child will go to Heaven, whether he chooses to accept the Lord or not! Why take chances?
So, what's the answer? From a Biblical point, "Will not the Lord God do what is right?" I guess it's just a matter of trusting Him and His perfect justice.
The best explanation I ever heard was along these lines: God is able to look into the future and see what would have been had the child not died; He knows if that child would have chosen or rejected Him, and will base His judgement on that. It's not "predestination" in a Calvinist sense; it's foreknowledge. To me, that's the only kind of thinking that makes sense.

These people take posts off of Rapture Ready and numerous other Christian websites and put them on this site, so that they can be held up to ridicule.
First off, I don't know about law in regards to the internet, but is that even legal?
Secondly, it hurts to read the comments that these people make about stuff that we discuss very sincerely here. When I saw it, I was very grieved.
Let's pray for these misguided souls, that the Holy Spirit will work in them to bring them to Christ, before it is too late. It is terrible to see them so lost, and they all seem to be so full of hate, I just wish that would come to be full of Jesus' love.

I would also like to learn how to play the electric guitar better. I have played classical as a child and play a bass and sing now in our praise band at church. I never was able to learn the style of music I really love though and would love to just play for Jesus, just instrumentals to Him. Ohhhh, and I love white bangle tigers too, I want a couple of them roaming around the yard (or in my mansion, is shedding part of the curse that's lifted??? ha ha ha!). I want star gazer lilies and other sweet smelling flowers planted around like gardenias!!! Ooooo, and I want to host parties and feasts where I have just tables and tables of awsome food for everybody. oh oh oh, and I want a lake nearby so that I can walk along the floor of it and watch all the fish swim by me.... One of my favorite former students is peaceful, calm and generous. He started a chapter of Food, Not Bombs in this area as a high school sophomore. He is an amazing young man. Unfortunately, he is on my prayer list as one of the lost. His girlfriend was Wiccan (still is, but no longer his girlfriend), and he began to listen to her anti-Christian propaganda. I fear for his soul. I pray for him a lot.
He says he used to be a strong believer, and it's not that he doesn't believe in Jesus, he just wants to be tolerant. I'm terrified he won't be in the Rapture. I'm praying the Holy Spirit will bring him to God.

True - they are not a Biblically based church. The gunman was not affiliated with the church. I suspect he has no idea about what a Unitarian church is....but just wanted to kill "Christians." The larger lesson here is that the world is becoming increasingly hostile to the church. Our church gets death threats all the time.....

My next door neighbor's family grew up in this church. My neighbor came outside and was clearly upset. She stated some of her husband's family in Knoxville was attending the Sunday service. She said the congregation was watching the children put on the play "Annie" for the church service. I was shocked to here they were watching the play "Annie" and asked her what religion the church was and she stated it was Unitarian. She said they knew the parishioner who stood up in front of the gunman to block him from shooting other people and that he was the first to die. My heart grieved for the dead because the chances are they were not followers of Jesus Christ.
I don't think a lot of people realize what this country could potentially turn into being lead by Obama. Liberals have become very dangerous indeed, and their agendas although they may not believe it will lead to our further decline and downfall. If Obama thinks he can be buddies with the nations who threaten us and others and get them to change their minds, ask this, can you be buddies with the devil and get him to change his mind? He'll act like your buddy for sure to start with, but soon thereafter you will find that he is a user and he thinks of any followers or "buddies" as expendable. He has no true friends. Because he is not a friend at all. He will use you for what you can get him, and then discard you without so much as a second look. So, why does Obama think he can change their minds? That would mean he thinks he can get them to give up their strong religious convictions and beliefs. That's what Ahmadinejad believes he is working at and for. To pave the way for their mahdi.
We would become a nation who has no morals, and is luke warm through and though. Abortionists, gay marriage would arise maybe be federally legalized, they might even completely open the borders because they are the ones that believe in these "sanctuary cities." What else? We almost definitely would be forced to become underground churches. Would they ban the Bible for being "hate speech"? That's the standpoint Obama has taken on people who try to tell the truth about him. You can't speak the truth if the majority and the president thinks it's hate speech. Idunno. Clearly does not allow women to preach in church. This isn't being "trapped in the dark ages," but compliance with the loving Word of God.

I encourage people to go to church, especially if they are new in the faith, and to only seek out Churches that teach strictly from the Bible. I warn them of the Apostosy and the different types of Apostosy so they can have that in the back of their minds when and if they do attend. I then check in with them to see how things are going...and help them if they have any questions about a particular subject.
Being "persecuted" with the actions of the apostate church is, imho, a tool to refine us, to help us draw closer to the Lord, to see His wisdom and discernment, Grace and Knowledge and to draw upon the Holy Spirit to help us endure each day we have and to be a light to those that have not accepted Jesus. Those being persecuted "see" and "hear" the words and are going about the Fathers business.
Putting out tracts at school is a good thing to do. Most kids today in the school system need Christ. Tell your sons and daughters to pass out tracts!

There are ways to opt out of taking spanish. I know I would probablly have to be like a friend of mine who was at his kid school daily rasing hell about not taking spanish to avoid it. However I think it is worth it to not take spanish. I will gladly move to england or australia before i learn spanish.
