It saddened me a lot. I watched the story of how this preacher changed his mind one day after hearing "an audible voice" telling him there is no hell. Who wouldn't want to believe that? So then the Bible is now null and void and all of us who don't believe what he is now preaching don't "love"? And the gay and lesbians and the Mormons and the Atheist are more "loving"

Hi everyone. I'm a "newbie" at Rapture Ready. I appreciate the insight in regard to end times and the rapture on this board.
I first learned about the rapture watching Jack VanImpe 15 years ago. I'm in total aggrement with all of you here that we will soon be with our Heavenly Father
My question/concern is within the last 5 years I have developed severe hearing loss. Thankfully(praise the Lord) hearing aids help, however once I take them out at night I'm stone deaf. When I go to bed at night I worry if I will not hear the Lord "Come Hither"
Would anyone have any thoughts?

But here's what happened! This cold and dreary morning, I was sitting in my car on the way to work when I prayed to God for a miracle. I asked Him for snow. I quickly dismissed it and told Him that I didn't really expect Him to do that for me, because it was such an unusual thing here. I live in League City Texas, right by the bay. Needless to say, snow doesn't happen here very often. In fact, before recently, it had been 30 something years before the last snow. I thought asking Him for such things was silly of me.

WELL, guys... it's SNOWING LIKE CRAZY here in South Houston! I'm SO happy! I never expected God to give us such a wonderful gift. But here it is, snowing like I've never seen before in my life! Everything is covered in a blanket of white. I JUST CAN'T GET OVER THIS MIRACLE! It's like He's telling me to ask Him for anything. That it's OKAY to come to Him and just ask! Nothing is silly as long as I want it in my heart of hearts.

This could be a sign that your son may be able to understand what Jesus did on the cross for him. He may be ready to come to repentant faith in Jesus. (if he hasn't yet)

You might tell him there is a difference between a vision and a scary thought in his mind.

Your speaking to him about the love of the Savior and how much Jesus cares for him is great.

I would steer him away from talk of visions etc. and bring him right to scripture, stated simply and the message of the cross.

Praying for you, that the Lord would give you perfect words. Praying for your son and that he may find perfect comfort in Jesus. (point out that Jesus IS called Comforter, Prince of peace!)

Besides, for the record, I suspect we are already know to some governmental electronic data bank somewhere and probably categorized as to our type of communication. If we post much we'll be categorized as safe, fringe group religious fanatic but not a threat......at least not at first.

It would be interesting, now that I think of it. Monday nights are kind of special down here. Its Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) night. Right where I'm at there are 500 men from over 170 churches, and next door, there are 500 women. Down the road a touch is another one.....in fact, there's something like 11 in the area. The largest concentration and percentage of the population in the country that reads and studies their bible daily and goes to class once a week on it.

We'll be easy to catch, harder to hold on to and what a mess this town would be to operate without us showing up for work. Doctors, attorneys, police officers, teachers, district attorneys, engineers, pilots and aircraft mechanics, nurses, bank finance people......the nuts and bolts of what makes the city run. Maybe we'll have a chance to sway some of the huge number of "wrong color (red/blue)" voters before the next election provided this area quits acting like such a strong magnet pulling the "northern neighbors" down looking for cheap houses and high wages. Every walk of life is represented....doctors and dentists just arriving after getting out of surgery, politicians coming down from the state capital and business owners shutting down and coming to class. More than anyplace I have ever lived, faith is taken really seriously down here.

Another factor in the Obama color shift (blue to red) in the election came from the huge number of universities ... youth and liberal... in the area and sanctuary city Durham.

If nothing else, would be interesting to watch the attempt to get us rounded up and identified from just our screen name. Oh, I know it can be done, but it would be a bit confusing and entertaining.

[In the "Write your Rapture fantasy" thread]

I was sitting in my biology class, taking my exam. Suddenly I hear the loudest, most beautiful horn I have EVER heard in my entire life. I quickly look around and notice that time has frozen; the clock has stopped ticking and the other kids are frozen, pencils to the paper, heads down.

An overwhelming joy fills my heart. This is it! Suddenly I feel a WHOOSH, and I look down to see my clothes in a neat little pile next to my desk. I am clothed in a dazzling white robe, so beautiful it seems to be decorated in starlight. My body looks completely different, glorified and completely healthy. I feel myself rising, above the science building...up...up...and WOW, I'm in the clouds, above the earth, in SPACE!

There are people all around me, laughing, crying tears of joy, celebrating, shouting praises to God; two guys near me even gave eachother hi-fives. I see my mom, the one woman I was able to get through to in my family, and we embrace in the air, whispering praises to God. I see my friend Wayne, a fellow "fundie" who, along with me, had the guts to do weekly online bible studies, despite the constant criticism and mocking. We see others who we have reached through that ministry, including our friends Monet and Brooke. There are so many people I know, flying up with me to meet Jesus in the air, along with millions more I have never met but am excited to meet soon.

And suddenly we slow down...and before us, clothed in what only can be described as light, brilliant, colorful light, was Jesus. His arms were open in a warm embrace, a beautiful and loving smile adorning his face. Oh how I long to run into those arms right then and there! Yet at the same time I feel this sense of unworthiness; what to I have to deserve such an indescribably wonderful blessing such as eternal life with Christ? I don't even deserve to tie his shoelaces He looks right at me, his eyes piercing into my soul. I fall down before him, sobbing in joy and in shame. "Lord, I don't deserve this...the things I've done--"

"My child, those records have been wiped clean. I remember your sins no more," Christ replies gently. He reaches out and takes my hand, and before I know it I throw myself into His arms, tears of pure joy, gratitude, and love coursing down my face. "Thank you Lord, thank you Lord, thank you so much.." I chant, over and over. He holds me close, tipping my face towards His. He proceeds to wipe my tears away, and I am filled with overwhelming joy. I smile bigger than a face is humanly possible of smiling and shout "Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Him!"

In my opinion, even if the United States plunges into another depression, I think it is going to take an act of God to get countries to willingly and desiringly give up sovereignty to a One World Government. Nations have come and gone all throughout history.....even the biggest Imperial nations like Rome and Babylon.....and no one has desired to give up their country's sovereignty unless they were forced to.

There's gotta be an event that triggers EVERYONE to WILLINGLY accept that there is only one solution, which is a One World Government: The Rapture. It is going to turn this world up-side down and inside out, economically and emotionally. And just after it happens, a smooth talking, attractive, has-all-the-answers kind of guy will step up to the plate and have the answer that the world will want: To be brought under his leadership.

I think the One World Government is being set up right now, the "groundwork" so to speak, but neither recession nor depression will bring it about fully......it's gotta be something much bigger than something that this world has seen happen many times before. Something extraordinary, something out of this world, something impossible....

[More insanity from the "Are they ready?" Post-Rapture Fanfic]

"Honey, come here and take a look at this. I've been doing Internet searches to try and figure out this craziness, and this "Rapture Ready" web site describes exactly what has happened!! And look, everything they predicted is backed up by Bible passages, it was all foretold! I remember hearing about this site a while back on a radio program I was listening to, they were laughing about these guys as being a couple of crackpots. It sounded pretty outlandish at the time, but it's all in here. All of it! I've been reading through this "Information For Those Left Behind" section and it speaks DIRECTLY to us! It's instructions for us! It also tells us that this is just the beginning, things are going to get much, much worse. Sure we didn't go to church that much, but it says here that church wasn't the way to salvation anyway. This "Second Chance for Salvation" page describes everything we need to do to receive salvation right now! I've printed it out so we can pray together. And if that's not enough, they also have a bulletin board. Take a look at some of these stories in this window! Apparently these were fictional, they were written at the end of '08, but it sounds JUST LIKE what we've been going through! They're in this thread called "Are they ready for this?"

The theory of evolution is so misplaced and invalid. It makes it all the easier to say that because we know God is 100% real. I've done tons of studies on the theory and when you honestly look at it with a clear and completely open mind, you'll choose God's way of creation.

I came across a disclaimer bolted to a Nativity this weekend.

I won't name the city but will refer to it as "sodom"

The disclaimer said something to the effect that the city of "sodom" does not endorse the church that placed the Nativity in the park and does not endorse the Nativity or something to that effect.

This is from a mid-size Midwestern town filled with many churches.

Getting rid of God

[Venting mode on] Many people today say that there can't be a God because why would He let so many bad things happen. Yet those same people demand that we remove God from school, government, the home, gatherings of any sort and any public place in general; and that we accept homosexuality, porn, etc. as a normal part of our culture. So, we (I'm talking about "we" as a society, not us here on RR ) push Him away from us in every way, and then when He doesn't rescue us from our own inequities we either blame Him or claim He doesn't exist? Honestly, where is the logic in this? If every time I saw my neighbor I told him to get away, be gone from my sight; would I expect him to come help me if I fell down in my yard, especially if I didn't call to him for help? Of course not. Our society refuses to call on God for help, refuses to turn away from every depravity imaginable, and then has the audacity to blame the Lord for everything that goes wrong. It disgusts me! From now on if I ever hear someone ask why God doesn't save us or how can there by a God because of this, I will go out of my way to remind them who it was that pushed God out in the first place! Who's with me?

Not only have they been able to petrify things in a very short time in the lab but they also have been able to create coal out of wood chips in around 30 days. If it had never dawned on you coal is nothing more than all the pre-flood vegetation morphed into carbon material. They find tons of identifiable tree logs and stumps in layers of coal and through more than one layer of coal all the time. Water transport and the right conditions voila, coal.

Of course the atheists have come up with their own fanciful explanations for public consumption.


You only need the right conditions and I think an internal meltdown of the earth at Noah's flood provides the right conditions.

There are lots of good creation web sites that provide further opportunities to study. The Institute for Creation Research, Answers in Genesis, Creation Science Evangelism, NWCreation dot net etc. I like Carl Baugh's creation model in his book Panorama of Creation and Walter Brown's book In The Beginning and The Genesis Flood by Henry Morris.

Of course not all creation scientists agree on every detail of the creation model since they weren't there so we have to allow some latitude in the model.
