A dream after which your 6 year old daughter is scared is most likely not good and probably either product of her imagination or a demonic attack.
This looks also like an alien abduction dream as well as the rapture, but the weird and alarming thing is that your daughter didn't disappear as well.
The new age folks know about the rapture and are just waiting for us to get outa here so they can have the world to themselves. That's not just internet hogwash, either. A coworker was actually mad to see me at work the day after Y2K, she was so sure that was the day.
I need some advise. My son accepted Jesus as his Saviour last year (when he was 9), and has been baptised. All this without any pressure from us, and on his own conviction. He has a very good knowledge of the Bible, and reads the Word every night (again, we don't need to tell him, he does it because he wants to.) Unfortunatly he is unsure about his salvation, and because of all the Rapture talk and everything going on in the world, he now feels unsure of his salvation. He also says that he does not always "feel" that he loves God. His greates fear is to be left behind. I have tried to comfort him with Word, and some sermons, and just talking to him, but he is still unsure. His salvation is very important to me, and also to him - obviously. What I would like to know is if anyone knows about reading or viewing material that could assist in the explanation of how we could know that we are saved on a childs level. I would like him to have that assurance. He is also scared that he will wander away from God when he grows bigger and not be a Christian anymore. I really do not know what to answer him, and frankly, I can't be objective. I love him, and he is a good child. I would like to believe that his experience was real.
They don't believe in the Rapture.
Believing is action. If they truly believe they would be mournful of their sins, repent and look forward to the Rapture.
Instead their actions demonstrate hubris, arrogance and mocking of the Bible.

I don't know much about Britain, but I know enough to be thankful I don't live there! It's so secular, and the few who are religious are mostly muslim. It's certainly a fertile ground for Satan to create his antichrist, though the Left Behind books make me envision an eastern european man whenever I think of the AC. It never crossed my mind that the AC might be English though there's no reason he couldn't. As someone else said I always thought he would be someone who came out of nowhere and rise up like a rocket to rule the world. He would be kind of like a European version of Obama (I still can't believe we elected someone so inexperienced. McCain has probably been in politics longer than Obama has been alive!)

Okay, um didn't the Germans Higher Critical (1920's) thinking allow for what happened in WW2 and also the rise of humanism in our own country? It was what crept into seminaries across the country stating that anything that couldn't be explained rationally didn't happen; ie. the virgin birth, resurrection, literal 7 day creation, Noah's flood, etc. It is why so many of American Churches are liberal today.
I have been married to a man for over 25 years that is constantly critical of me and verbally abusive. We cannot have a discussion about anything without him flinging personal attacks or belittling my thinking processes etc. My husband is not saved and the enemy uses his tongue as a weapon, this is a spiritual battle not flesh and blood. Jesus is my warrior and my Defender and even though my husbands critical and negative words continue to hurt me I go to Jesus and He helps me. Until Jesus decides to do something different in the situation I will obey Him none the less. He never fails to bless me in ways that enable me press on.
there are according to my local radio station in l.a. a big protest tomorrow on prop 8 and this is really annoying me. i mean this prop passed - and this should stand but people are not letting this go and trying to force their beliefs on the majority of california who voted yes for prop 8. this really needs prayer still and it is a HUGE spiritual battle going on in this state.

you likely have a very sensitive child who feels extra remorse and guilt. If so, don't try to talk them out of it, it doesn't work, they only think you don't understand the level of their depravity. they are sensitive to the awareness of their own sin and are completely aware you don't know all the bad stuff inside of them. they don't believe they deserve to be saved.
so tell them that they are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! they DON'T deserve it and that the sin inside is evidence of that. so instruct him to get on his knees every time he has doubts and THANK God for giving him what he did not deserve.
Okay, after reading these posts, I finally got up the nerve to watch the video. And it was even worse than I had imagined.
I have to confess that I used to think homosexuality was maybe *just another sin* and I have had enough of my own, all that stuff.
But no, I was wrong and I have to correct that before the Lord. There's a reason that the Bible is SO CLEAR about the abomination it is, that it is Him giving them over to reprobate minds, that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of it.
A few posters above said (paraphrased) that when the veneer is stripped, that underneath is truly so vile, so awful... I can clearly see that now, and I can really see how Sodom and Gomorrah happened and was such a horror that the Lord had to destroy them.
I've heard preachers say that the sexual demonic force/spirits intertwine with rebellious spirits. So, it wouldn't surprise me at all that the demonic spirits behind this homosexual movement aren't violent in nature, especially towards Christians. They hate anyone who believes in the God that says homosexuality is an abomination.

I was listening to Chuck Swindoll on my way in to work this morning. He mentioned an evangelistic nurse that he knows, he said she works with elderly people that are in the last throes of their earthly life. When the time is near she asks them if they are afraid of death to which they almost always respond "yes". Then she asks if they would like to be assured of everlasting life through Jesus Christ, and many of them reply...... "no". I couldn't believe it, people who are minutes away from death are being given one last chance through this angel of a nurse to repent and turn to Christ with their last breath, our Lord will even forgive them for everything at the very last minute. And still many refuse. Truly this is a depraved world! After seeing the homosexuals accost an elderly Christian woman in this thread it seems the world is quickly polarizing into believers and non-believers. There aren't many fence-sitters these days. It's getting harder to attract people over to the good side.
I'm having a hard time dealing with a problem I am having with my mother and I need some guidance.
Here's the dilemma: I've been trying to show my extremly RCC mother where the catholic doctrine contradicts the Bible. And in the process, she figured out that I don't believe the strict catholic doctrine anymore. She won't take anything, even examples directly from the Bible itself, as even remotly possible.
Her reasoning to everything, "2000 years of studying the Bible means we (meaning RCC) can't be wrong." and that, "the devil is trying to persaude me away from the RCC".
She is making life very, very difficult for me, and has forced me to talk to our RCC pastor about how my views (Sola Scriptura) are wrong and misguided. She threatens me about it with lengthy conversation and it's quickly getting to the verge of creating a division between us.
I don't know what to do from here. She has threaten me with another conversation that will only make me (and her) angrier.
I've prayed for guidance and help, but it doesn't seem to be comming as quickly as I'd like it to.
So, in your opinions, What should I do?

Yeah, any investigator will tell you as commonly known fact that the crimes that they perpetrate upon one another (especially murder) are horrific and termed as 'overkill'. There was just a very prominent incident in CA involving two lesbians where the victim was stabbed over 200 times! It's VERY common.

I guess what's troubling me is that there are so few of us who fully understand what's transpiring right now. Why aren't there more Christians who have been prompted by the Holy Spirit to see what's being fulfilled? This is puzzling to me.
I don't think that preaching the Living Word of God is hate and I also don't think that saying "homosexuality is wrong" leads to hate crimes. Hate leads to hate crimes. I don't think the Rapture is going to happen yet. I personally think we are at least 20 years from a Revived Roman Empire. Yes Obama is one piece of the puzzle but America falling to the point that the empire of the Anti-Christ has absolute power will take some time. I also believe we need to see the rise of Babylon before the Tribulation starts. Iraq isn't near a nation of wealth and prosperity. Also Israel will need to gain economic strength as it's what lures Gog and Magog to invade Russia.
Another thing is that as bad as America and the world is we are no where close to the world of Noah and Sodom and Ghommorah. I think we will see a prominent gay leader, maybe the first Gay US president where him and his lover will win a landslide electoral vote running on a platform supporting condoms for every 1st grader and promising to ban all bibles in America.
Even Texas will give their electoral votes to such a candidate in the next 12 years. I see the majority of Christian churches promoting Gay sex to kids and proclaiming evolution was taught by Christ. Before the rapture I see a national Gay holiday where the schools, business, and the stock market is close on that day. I see a Gay sex being aired 24/7 on ABC, CBS, NBC. I see people being arrested for preaching the Gospel of Jesus in the America before the Rapture. I see the US government forcing kids starting at 3 to attend Gay classes alone without their parents their. Read what happen to the Lot his daughters and the angels in the OT. That's America 10-20 years from now right before the Rapture. Just like before the flood and before the destruction of Sodom and Ghommorah.
My dear friends, my own experience has been harsh in dealing with my brother that came out of the closet a couple years ago. He has threatened to remove himself from the family if I send him any information that might convict him of his sin. My own parents that claim to be against the lifestyle do not want me to do or say anything that might rock the boat where my brother is concerned. So in essence I am being silenced by my own family. So I am not surprised with what is going on around the country, if it can happen in a family I am believing more and more that it can happen in this country. As Christians we should prepare ourselves to be persecuted in this area....

Since Obama has been elected, I'm feeling jumpy and nervous from all the unknown about him. It's finally sinking in I suppose. I feel something dark swirling in the world like never before. Deep down, I trusted Bush with all his flaws. I just don't feel that with Obama. I don't feel the safety anymore or I won't when Bush is gone and Obama takes over. Is anyone one else experiencing the same or is it just me? I know to trust our Lord above all but I still can't shake these feelings right now.

Here's the thing: homosexuality is a CHOICE! There is not one shred of credible evidence to suggest that people are born that way...if there were, then the Bible wouldn't be telling the truth. In other words, God wouldn't be against something that he allows people to be born with. I also think that to equate gay marriage with the Civil Rights struggle is most bogus and really stupid. Black people couldn't help the color of their skin and they should never had been treated the way they were in this country for so long. They needed and certainly deserved civil rights. Gays, however, do not deserve civil rights for what is basically a lifestyle choice. This is just getting more nuts all the time
I am headed for a divorce and a great deal of the reason is because of my faith. I came to Christ after I was married and my wife refuses to. Over the years, my faith and pursuit of the Lord has created a widening gulf between my wife and I. She complains how I have changed so much since we got married. It is because of my faith, pursuit of, and growth in the Lord. I won't watch garbage television programs with her anymore. I won't listen to the debauched music that we used to share. I don't want to rent movies with sexual themes.
She resents me because of my faith in the Lord. She despises my belief that Christ's blood is the only way to Heaven; thereby despising me as well. She has of course fallen for the notion that she's going to Heaven because she's a "very good person." She believes in Heaven but doesn't quite believe in the God that created it.
How this relates to the OP is that my wife resents me and is beginning to hate me because of my faith--and the resentment and hate has been growing for years. All this while I am attempting to raise a daughter to love the Lord. I'm on fire for the Lord while my wife has no fire for anything. Please pray for her.
