Okay, um didn't the Germans Higher Critical (1920's) thinking allow for what happened in WW2 and also the rise of humanism in our own country? Okay, after reading these posts, I finally got up the nerve to watch the video. And it was even worse than I had imagined.
I have to confess that I used to think homosexuality was maybe *just another sin* and I have had enough of my own, all that stuff.
But no, I was wrong and I have to correct that before the Lord. There's a reason that the Bible is SO CLEAR about the abomination it is, that it is Him giving them over to reprobate minds, that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of it.
A few posters above said (paraphrased) that when the veneer is stripped, that underneath is truly so vile, so awful... I can clearly see that now, and I can really see how Sodom and Gomorrah happened and was such a horror that the Lord had to destroy them.
I've heard preachers say that the sexual demonic force/spirits intertwine with rebellious spirits. So, it wouldn't surprise me at all that the demonic spirits behind this homosexual movement aren't violent in nature, especially towards Christians. They hate anyone who believes in the God that says homosexuality is an abomination.

I was listening to Chuck Swindoll on my way in to work this morning. He mentioned an evangelistic nurse that he knows, he said she works with elderly people that are in the last throes of their earthly life. When the time is near she asks them if they are afraid of death to which they almost always respond "yes". Then she asks if they would like to be assured of everlasting life through Jesus Christ, and many of them reply...... "no". I couldn't believe it, people who are minutes away from death are being given one last chance through this angel of a nurse to repent and turn to Christ with their last breath, our Lord will even forgive them for everything at the very last minute. And still many refuse. Truly this is a depraved world! After seeing the homosexuals accost an elderly Christian woman in this thread it seems the world is quickly polarizing into believers and non-believers. There aren't many fence-sitters these days. It's getting harder to attract people over to the good side.
I'm having a hard time dealing with a problem I am having with my mother and I need some guidance.
Here's the dilemma: I've been trying to show my extremly RCC mother where the catholic doctrine contradicts the Bible. And in the process, she figured out that I don't believe the strict catholic doctrine anymore. She won't take anything, even examples directly from the Bible itself, as even remotly possible.
Her reasoning to everything, "2000 years of studying the Bible means we (meaning RCC) can't be wrong." and that, "the devil is trying to persaude me away from the RCC".
She is making life very, very difficult for me, and has forced me to talk to our RCC pastor about how my views (Sola Scriptura) are wrong and misguided. She threatens me about it with lengthy conversation and it's quickly getting to the verge of creating a division between us.
I don't know what to do from here. She has threaten me with another conversation that will only make me (and her) angrier.
I've prayed for guidance and help, but it doesn't seem to be comming as quickly as I'd like it to.
So, in your opinions, What should I do?

Yeah, any investigator will tell you as commonly known fact that the crimes that they perpetrate upon one another (especially murder) are horrific and termed as 'overkill'. I don't think the Rapture is going to happen yet. I personally think we are at least 20 years from a Revived Roman Empire. Yes Obama is one piece of the puzzle but America falling to the point that the empire of the Anti-Christ has absolute power will take some time. I also believe we need to see the rise of Babylon before the Tribulation starts. Iraq isn't near a nation of wealth and prosperity. Also Israel will need to gain economic strength as it's what lures Gog and Magog to invade Russia.
Another thing is that as bad as America and the world is we are no where close to the world of Noah and Sodom and Ghommorah. I think we will see a prominent gay leader, maybe the first Gay US president where him and his lover will win a landslide electoral vote running on a platform supporting condoms for every 1st grader and promising to ban all bibles in America.
Even Texas will give their electoral votes to such a candidate in the next 12 years. I see the majority of Christian churches promoting Gay sex to kids and proclaiming evolution was taught by Christ. Before the rapture I see a national Gay holiday where the schools, business, and the stock market is close on that day. I see a Gay sex being aired 24/7 on ABC, CBS, NBC. I see people being arrested for preaching the Gospel of Jesus in the America before the Rapture. I see the US government forcing kids starting at 3 to attend Gay classes alone without their parents their. Read what happen to the Lot his daughters and the angels in the OT. That's America 10-20 years from now right before the Rapture. Just like before the flood and before the destruction of Sodom and Ghommorah.
My dear friends, my own experience has been harsh in dealing with my brother that came out of the closet a couple years ago. He has threatened to remove himself from the family if I send him any information that might convict him of his sin. My own parents that claim to be against the lifestyle do not want me to do or say anything that might rock the boat where my brother is concerned. So in essence I am being silenced by my own family. So I am not surprised with what is going on around the country, if it can happen in a family I am believing more and more that it can happen in this country. As Christians we should prepare ourselves to be persecuted in this area....

Since Obama has been elected, I'm feeling jumpy and nervous from all the unknown about him. It's finally sinking in I suppose. I feel something dark swirling in the world like never before. Deep down, I trusted Bush with all his flaws. I just don't feel that with Obama. I don't feel the safety anymore or I won't when Bush is gone and Obama takes over. Is anyone one else experiencing the same or is it just me? I know to trust our Lord above all but I still can't shake these feelings right now.

I am headed for a divorce and a great deal of the reason is because of my faith. I came to Christ after I was married and my wife refuses to. Over the years, my faith and pursuit of the Lord has created a widening gulf between my wife and I. She complains how I have changed so much since we got married. It is because of my faith, pursuit of, and growth in the Lord. I won't watch garbage television programs with her anymore. I won't listen to the debauched music that we used to share. I don't want to rent movies with sexual themes.
She resents me because of my faith in the Lord. She despises my belief that Christ's blood is the only way to Heaven; thereby despising me as well. She has of course fallen for the notion that she's going to Heaven because she's a "very good person." She believes in Heaven but doesn't quite believe in the God that created it.
How this relates to the OP is that my wife resents me and is beginning to hate me because of my faith--and the resentment and hate has been growing for years. All this while I am attempting to raise a daughter to love the Lord. I'm on fire for the Lord while my wife has no fire for anything. Please pray for her.

I have a heavy heart today for my son. I visited him yesterday and he started babbling off the cool-aid speeches and how wonderful everything was going to be and utopia and blah blah blah . . . and I suddenly felt sick. This is a very intelligent young man that usually is babbling about what he learned in church last Sunday. I feel like if things go crazy and the non coolaid drinkers are singled out maybe my son will turn against me . .. turn me in. I suddenly feel leary of my own child. It's not a good feeling and I wish it would go away.
I feel like I need to contact one of those people that rescue adult children from cults and un-brainwash them.
I don't know if it (Obama's win) will help race relations. Last night around midnight, my son, who lives in Lansing Mi., had a group of black people who came to his door and said: Now you are going to know how it feels to be a minority!" I feel very concerned for him, he didn't know them, and i believe this could just be the beginning of racial issues. Did you see the two Black Panthers at the Philly voting precinct yesterday? I don't believe that this election is going to bring us together as a country, rather it will bring sadness.

Well, I have little to no respect for anyone who voted for Obama, which includes one good friend and several co-workers. I'm keeping it civil with the co-workers, but I'm very disappointed in my friend (who has really back-slidden in many ways) and I'm finding it hard to want to get together with her.
