I think it's more accurate to suggest that the parents hate McCain and the child is mimicking this hatred.
Instead of keeping him away from politics, perhaps he should be kept away from his parents?

Having been raised in a non-Christian home and having gone to public school where they taught millions of years and taught that we came from primordial soup - most recently from apes - when I came across Answers in Genesis, I thought these guys were kinda "off". I was a new Christian, listening to a local Christian radio station - to a Bible study - and the pastor was talking about how Jesus had referred to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jonah...as real people and not just characters in a morality story. He referred to the flood as a real event in time and that was a revelation for me! I thought, if Jesus believed that stuff and all those people were real - then I do, too.
I got some DVDs from AIG for my daughter to replace her evolutionist National Geographic ones and she loves them! We got to meet Buddy Davis in person last year. I've listened to Ken Ham speak and it took some time but my world view has changed. I don't see monkeys as distant relatives - I see them as animals. I don't see millions of years of rock layers - I see the effects of the flood. I see the Good Lord's design in all of nature. I think of what He told Job - "Where were you, Job, when I laid the foundations of the earth" and He goes on for 3 or 4 more chapters describing just some of what He created and my reaction is the same as Job's - both hands over my mouth and sit down!
So many people lose their faith - or their potential for having a faith in God - because they cannot reconcile the Bible's history and what evolutionists are teaching. "Everybody knows the earth is billions of years old and dinosaurs were extinguished by a big meteor! God, (if they believe in Him) could have created thru evolution." Well, I beg to differ. Now that my eyes are opened, I see the evidence for the flood and there are sights on the web that also show archeological findings that show giants lived on the earth once and technology that existed before it "should have". The TV was on the news channel this morning as I was cleaning up the house & I noticed something that I had thought about before - The name "Barack Obama" is said more times than I can count. And its every channel.
Once upon a time when I was an unbeliever, I staunchly supported abortion rights b/c I felt women had a right to choose, a right to dictate their own bodies, etc, etc. Heck-I also supported gay rights b/c I felt homosexuals deserved to be treated equally like under civil rights.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is about the age of child being spanked. It's the parents decision to spank his/her child regardless of their age. I've known highschoolers who got a good whoopin from their parents when it was deserved, so that doesn't fly. There was no evidence of abuse, and his children have even said it was no big deal. Any charge is too much, there shouldn't have been charges brought at all. The teacher overstepped her authority in this matter, and now a father is facing felony charges. As far as govt. schools, they are not excellent. There are good schools and there are bad schools, but they do not all fall into the excellent category.
Also, I don't know of any state that considers all children, until they reach 18, wards of the state. Children DO NOT belong to the state, they belong to their parents. Where are you getting this stuff?

My pastor friend went through this about 2 years ago. He spanked his daughter and she reported that he was abusing her. After over a year in court, he was found innocent, but what a mess it made for him financially and for his family. His daughter was a young teen and had been sneaking out of the house at night, running with boys 5 years or more older and he was at his wits end. She now lives with his oldest daughter (who is an adult) and the family is fractured. I know this pastor and his wife quite well and they are wonderful Christian parents. They have 5 kids and this daughter was the only "problem child". It was so painful for them to go through that.
To me, even a couple of bruises are not enough to arrest this father, unless there was a pattern. This country is going down the tubes.

I don't see anything wrong in what she said. I do believe that Obama is a closet Muslim for many documented reasons! There is also proof that he is a socialist...from being in the New Party, and from his own words!
This woman has a right to speak her mind and I think it is just wrong that she is being terminated from her position.

Yes, America is a melting pot of many different kinds of people. My nurse and I discuss endtime events on a daily basis. This morning she came in and told me that a friend of hers is a insurance agent. The most common question over the past few weeks has been : "how quickly can my family collect insurance money after the rapture?". She tells them that they should not worry about that, they need to worry about gettng them saved.
I know that a win by Obama means persecution for the saints. He will pass hate crime laws that will limit Christian speech, close down websites, and force churches to hire gays.
I have a 12 yr old and 9 yr old who only recently have had this whole gay agenda introduced to them. Several months ago a new family moved in 2 doors down, and they have 4 kids. At first they were so well behaved and well mannered, but that quickly erroded and I began to see a wholeugly side to them. The mother, was honestly the first person in my entire life that told me, she did NOT want her kids exposed to God, or Christ and church, because her own experinces in the catholic church growing up in a factrured family in a foriegn country..and when her own family hadn't been there for her, her gay friends had become her family, and her oldest son, whose in the 10th grade(again) was a self proclaimed bi sexual...
Her oldest daughter goes to a baptist church, and she is really a sweet child, but her mom says she only lets her go because shs in the chior!
My kids were expected to accept this way of thinking, in order to be friends with these kids...I began to realize the only way to stop the cycle of my kids hanging out with these kids was to move(not just for this reason, but it played a big part)
Just last night after baseball practice, my 11yr old son and I were driving home when someone almost pulled out in front of us. It could have been a bad accident. After I blew my horn and mumbled to myself about how ignorant some people could be, my 11yr old said "Oh well....we would have just gotten to Heaven a little sooner. You know how much I like baseball, Dad, but I am ready to go now." I just looked at him and smiled and said "You're absolutely right son....and we are one day closer." That's something we say around the house frequently. "We're one day closer to Heaven". It's true, and today would be fine with me.

something very...incredible happened yesterday morning. i had a wonderful time with Him the night before, and i woke up to go to work, and i laid my head down for another 5 minutes before actually getting up , as soon as my head hit the pillow im telling you the truth in the Lord i am not lying, i was in the NYSE like i was a broker or trader and i was watching the dow drop like a sinking rock. 8000, 6900, 6000, etc. and i felt, i actually could feel in my body a sense of impending destruction and indeed a horrible foreboding. of course im not worried knowing Hes in control but the whole day i thought about it like, wow, that was crazy. stuff like that never happens... but i just wanted to share and encourage yall to be strong in the Lord, and in the power of HIs might. not long now... no, not long at all...
...in all sincerity I hope the Obama/Biden ticket never makes it to the white house. We need serious direction for our country right now and that will only come from John McCain. We need serious Godly values in the white house right now and I completely trust Sarah to provide that. I see John as a baby Christian who would really benefit from the strong faith Sarah has.

I'm afraid even the term Christian has been redefined. Was it about a year ago a Phew (Pueh,???? something close) poll of "Christians" found that only about 11% believed the bible is to be taken literally from cover to cover. So, only 11 in a 100 of us are what the world calls fundamentalist in our beliefs.
Most of us, I suspect, believe that if one does or has ever believed Jesus is the Son of God, died for our sins, was resurrected for our eternal life and if we have invited Him into our life then we are going on the first wave.
If not, there are going to be a lot of wide eyed, scared and soon to be suffering people left groping around for answers. I am so afraid that if they have heard the message and don't go in our wave the delusion will apply to them and they won't be joining us.
This just sends chills down my spine every time I contemplate it and what it truly translates to in terms of people I know and consider some type of friend or relative.

There was a muslim parade going down madison ave in new york city yesterday and all they were screaming as that horrible allahu akbar kefir, over and over and over and pumping their fists and looking very hating.... they all all sorts of police coverage protecting them and people screaming in arabic, totally disgusting, and there were all sorts of palestinian and other flags.... they congregated at madison park and there they continued their diatribe and hate literature handouts and mats strew about with the usual postrating toward mecca.
Crazy times that in this country all you hear is separation of church and state yet this was a totally religious parade backed up by the city government.......

Several prophecy writers assume that all (or most) children will be raptured. I'm unfamiliar with any scripture that speaks to this. Could anyone enlighten me?

Our kids had their spring music concert the other night. We are a small town, and this is a big deal....anyhoo....we were walking in with our kids, and my dh's head did a double take. Right in front of us is a kindergartener...she is with her parents. AND, she is dressed in a little white flapper dress(super short) with BLACK FISH NET STOCKINGS and high heals. Her parents are quite well to do...he is a lawyer and she is a dentist.....and she sings in a Christian group. You could tell that they put alot of money making her look like that. At first, it made me so sad for the little girl....and then it made me mad that her parents did that to her. That my kids had to put up with someone dressed like that.....I am just so disgusted with the lack of judgement and morals. Its getting worse everyday. Sorry. Just had to vent....try explaining this to the "world", and I get responses like, "I thought she was cute."

Watching R rated movies isn't a sin. However, it can be a temptation to sin.

One way or another, a Halsey woman promises to keep a popular cartoon book out of the Central Linn High School library.
Taffey Anderson says "The Book of Bunny Suicides" is not appropriate for anyone, but especially children. She inspected the book her 13-year-old son checked out of the library, and what she saw convinced her to never return it.
The 2003 book by British author Andy Riley is a collection of cartoons showing a rabbit attempting to end his life in bizarre ways. Anderson's son told her he checked it out because his friends said it was funny.
"It is a comic book, but that's not funny. Not at all," Anderson told the Albany Democrat-Herald newspaper. "I don't care if your kid is 16, 17, 18. It's wrong."

So true, and that is why these shows are so deceptive. They portray our faith in such a way that the entire message is skipped! They offer up our faith like a buffet, right next to Islam. It also doesn't help that secular people run this thing. She has big money, fame, TV show, etc. so she isn't about to see any need in her own life. She doesn't need God in her mind, so she doesn't care except that she gets what she wants. This is why it's so hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
She has to make her decision in a time of need, and I honestly don't see it happening as far as her choices go. If she did, I would stand corrected.

Question for all of you to respond to. I'd like to know all of your opinions. Do you believe there are celebrities that have literally, actually sold their souls to achieve their fame and/or fortune?
I personally believe some have. You can point to some specific lyrics in songs, sources for plots in movies, or treks to far aways places to commune with leaders of various false religions.
Excellent point! I've often wondered why we Christians allowed evolution to be taught without the opposite view included. Having been raised by Christian parents, I don't even recall being taught evolution, but I must have been and it just didn't make an impact on me because my parents taught me the true story. But, for those kids who don't get taught about God and Jesus at home, it is really unfair and unAmerican to teach something that has not been proven as fact without teaching opposing views, which include intelligent design and creation.
We have tried, but like the calvary, the ACLU (American Communist Lawyers Union) always comes in and saves the day for the evolutionists.

And [poster], do you read and study the Word of God everyday? If not, you should. The Word of God is the best, if not, the only cure for depression. Also, do pray.
I was once like you. I also suffered from severe bouts of depression. And the only cure for my suffering was reading & studying the Word of God. Now it's gone - totally gone. And I praise God for that.

Firstly I need to say this. The whole chemical imbalance idea is just that, an idea. It's not based on proven science. Fact is doctors don't know exactly what causes mental illnesses, like depression. They know about serotonin, dopamine, chemicals in the brain that do affect mood. However, mental illnesses are not just an abnormality resulting from imbalances or deficiencies of those known biological chemicals. It's more than that. I know, because I've researched this. I'm not saying that means the medicines being prescribed due to mental illnesses aren't legit. I can't say that because I just don't know. But if person feels they need to take them, and feel they are helping them, then it's up to them.
Anyway, I believe certain mental disorders are a result of original sin, and the enemy's influence. I also believe God let's some of His people be born with certain mental disorders, (such as retardation) for reasons known only to Him, though one reason could be to help teach us about acceptance, compassion, love.
As far as depression. I believe not just original sin, and the foothold the devil got from it, which enables him to now freely attack us, but also our own personal sins we commit, help give him the enemy a door way that he also uses. Such as living a life of promiscuity, and the negative mental effects it can have, especially if one eventually realizes how wrong it is, and stops it, but is left with the memories. Also, sins committed against us. Like the various forms of abuse.
I have believed and still believe he's a Muslim. All these little things we see just confirm that very thing. And no one should be fooled on his claim of being a Christian, because his 20 yrs with Wright was NOT a Christian church nor Christian belief, nor biblical.
And it still isn't unless you consider Phleager, the Jeremiah Wright blame-accomplice, to be one? Nope. He hates America and whites too, even though he's white.
There's a lot of sickness brewing in our nation, and the disease will spread. Already, we hear of that man physically attacking the woman who was McCain-campaigning on a street corner. He was an Obama bot. Temporarily lost his mind. Goes to show how mesmerizing Obama's "Resident Evil" effect is.

My sister does not believe hell is real even though it's mentioned over 200x(?) in the bible. She says Jesus died for ALL men's sins so therefore no one goes to hell. She also uses the scripture about everything being made new at the end. I don't know why it's important to her but she says the definition of hell is some unknown place, not a pit of fire, etc...If the bible itself is not enough to get her to believe it's real, what would you say or use to prove it is real?
