“It's interesting to me that the fiber arts (knitting, crocheting, sewing etc.) are highly female-dominated, yet I've never seen MtFs expressing interest in them.”
Um, how the hell would you know?
My wife is into the fiber arts. Been to a few festivals. Therer’s a LOT of people buying, selling, displaying. How would you know that NONE of them are transgendered? I work with three such people, and it’s not that easy to spot visually. And somehow, i doubt you’ve attended any of them, anyway.
Many more participate on websites like Ravelry. There’s just no telling their medical history.
"In fact, they're the most gendered activities I can think of --”
Feel free to show this.
“Ravelry's user base is over 90% female.”
According to what they say.
“Yet MtFs don't gravitate to them, despite lady brains that supposedly drive them towards "feminine gender expression."”
All i see is you claiming this, no actual evidence of it.
“Why is that?”
You havent’ established the ‘that’ yet.
“ My theory is that these activities have nothing to do with transforming oneself into a beautiful and/or fuckable object and are not public performances, so they have no value to the narcissist.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
SPend time IN the fiber arts community, you’ll see the public performances. Demonstrations of techniques, gropu projects, seminars, and just groups that get together and knit together (or spin, or whatever).
So, your ‘theory’ is just made up on your impressions, with no evidence backing it up, you know nothing about the community you’re judging, and your conclusion is just your premise propped up by hate.
