So called global warming is proof that people will believe any easily refuted lie if they hear it often enough. At only 1 part of earth's atmosphere per 2,500, CO2 is a trace gas that has no direct measurable effect on earth's temperature. Water vapor (clouds, etc.) is earth's greenhouse gas. 500 million years ago, there was 12 to 20 times as much CO2 in the atmosphere and the temperature was about the same. The earth's atmosphere has been loosing CO2 for billions of years and is now CO2 starved and since CO2 is necessary for plants, it would be better if there was 2 to 5 times as much CO2 in the atmosphere.

The earth is in a several million years long Ice Age. Every 100,000 years there is a 10,000 to 20,000 year long interglacial warm period. We are 12,000 years into the current interglacial warm period and, when it end, earth will return to its Ice Age. Furthermore, even if the current interglacial last another several thousand years, there is evidence that we are at the beginning of another Mini Ice Age. Therefore, Global cooling, not global warming, should be our concern.
