”The last time I asked someone to turn down the music they dropped their bag to their feet and headed straight to punch me out.”
This is why concealed carry is so important.

I mean, as far as random quotes here, this one is super tame.
Being able to defend yourself from potential threats is pretty much one bug reason concealed carry is a thing. Doing security work has biased me a bit cause I more deal with people after they've already turned into a problem, but enough violent people hiding weapons on their person is easily enough reason for people to want a strong option to keep yourself or others safe in a worst case sort of scenario.
Will add I do wish there was some more national registery/standards to meet to establish competency before getting one. There are a lot of people who shouldn't have guns who do.

I agree on the fact that carrying weapons around for defense is not necesssarily a bad thing. Though I’m still torn on wether or not such weapons should only be kept at home to defend against invaders, or allowed to be carried (yet concealed) in public. The real problem begins when every psychotic nutjob can openly carry military-grade assault rifles on the streets without any regulations whatsoever.
@Timjer oh, 100% agree on the nutjobs brandishing military weapons openly while walking around. It's just bizarre and crazy behavior.
As for the weapons at home vs concealed on your person, the reason I'm fine with both is that issues can happen while just walking around. Crazies like the gun toting idiots mentioned above, people with hidden shivs or what not, people who could even bare handed/with some grabbed item put someone in the hospital, etc. Having something to protect yourself isn't a bad thing.
It's the training and screening to make sure people are capable of assessing situations properly that I believe the US severely lacks.
Confused?
