When the Feminists came for the Rapists,
I remained silent;
I was not a Rapist.
When they locked up the stalkers,
I remained silent;
I was not a stalker.
When they came for the Players,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Player.
When they came for the men who they got bored of,
I remained silent;
I wasn’t some one they were bored of yet.
When they came for me, the nice guy,
there was no one left to speak out.

When the MRAs came for the Radfems,
I remained silent;
I was not a Radfem.
When they locked up the moderate feminists,
I remained silent;
I was not a feminist of any kind.
When they came for the real-life Desperate Housewives,
I did not speak out;
I was a ‘only with my husband’ housewife.
When they came for the single mothers,
I remained silent;
I wasn’t a single mother.
When they came for me, the compliant, cooperative woman,
there was no one left to speak out.
Niemöller's original poem was about the Nazis taking people away without due process. An injustice. And cowardice in the face of that injustice.
If by 'coming for the rapists' you mean actual rapists, then that's not similar. If they're rapists, one would expect and hope for the forces of law to 'come for' them.
If you rather mean that the feminists tend to paint every male as a rapist, then you ARE a rapist, why didn't you speak up? If you're ultimately a 'nice guy,' wouldn't a nice guy stand up for the injustice of treating all men as stalkers, rapists, Players?
This is you trying to fight stereotyping with more stereotyping.
I think there should be some sort of rule, if there isn't already, that states that the more someone calls themselves a "nice guy," the less likely that is to actually be true.
May the soul of Martin Niemöller emerge from the hereafter and backhand you silly!
Rape hurts people, therefore people “coming for the rapists” is a good thing!
If we lock up the murderers, then they'll come for the muggers next. If we lock up the muggers, then we'll start looking at people who commit random assaults. If we lock up all the people who attack other people in the street, then we'll lock up people who beat their children. If we lock up people who beat their children, we'll lock up people who have children! And then everyone will be in jail! Save the murderers! They're just the excuse to get at the average every day people! And I'm not saying murder is like an acceptable thing or anything but you know, just saying, sometimes people are just asking to get murdered, it's not like murderers aren't totally provoked by their victims being so killable so really is it fair to hold them accountable for their actions? Why aren't we looking harder at these so-called "victims" anyway? They always get off scott-free when we're talking about responsibility and they've got an agenda.

Yeah, maybe a 'big talk no walk' rule?
Ever wait tables? The guy who introduces himself as 'a big tipper' does so only to find fault with your service so he can undertip. Big Tippers just leave big tips.
Or popular presidents never mention their popularity as a defense against accusations. Really popular presidents never mention just how popular they are.
Confused?
