I’m not sure if this is a match made in hell or not. On one level incels + sexist religion seem to have a lot in common. At the same time the religions that go this way are real big on the donate $9.95 a month for god’s blessing and incels are not big on doing anything except complain. They would get angry when their donation doesn’t fix every problem in their life in a month or two.

Evidence suggests Andy was attacked but also that he was coordinating with the right wing protestors at the event. His first and second points about changing language and history are something both sides try to do. Trying to pin it only on the left is absurd.

His claim about shifting standards is more deceptively wrong though on several levels. In trying to define identity down to only the things he cares about he is trying to write whole groups and entire issues out of existence. In reality religions, countries and even ethnic groupings change over time also. And at the same time he is trying to say morality/ethics are constants and progressive are wrong for not having fixed standards, not accepting that they do change over time. Even religions with fixed divinely mandated laws change over time as arguments about how the laws should be implemented and enforced happen.

It seems to be a misguided attempt to be more feminist. Sinfest started out as a fairly generic online strip. At some point he realized his strip was somewhat sexist, female characters being drawn for way more cheese cake then male ones. At that point he set out to re balance the strip with an actively feminist viewpoint. Both reasons are simply wrong. Conservatives fought every step of the way and religious groups only recently began to accept homosexuals.
