Well, that’s not quite the same thing, isn’t it? Fschmidt is merely speaking from a perspective of a wife of a guy who had an affair.
I agree that the situation you describe is also unforgivable, though. Such a woman should lose all her possessions, should be forced into prostitution for the rest of her life, and the guy who impregnated her should be killed by her husband, who should also have no obligation to raise her bastard.
