David Barton #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Speaking about his recent trip to Poland on his “WallBuilders Live” radio show today, Religious Right pseudo-historian David Barton said that his visits to sites of Nazi atrocities showed him that “every evil that’s ever appeared in the world also occurs in every generation.”

The evil spirit that was responsible for the Holocaust, Barton went on to say, is now at work today advancing the “homosexual lifestyle.”

“It does not change over time,” he said. “The evil that’s there, it still works in the same deceptive means today, it still has that nice smiling face and, you know, a homosexual lifestyle, it’s such a wonderful lifestyle. Yeah? Why don’t you look at the medical stats and see if that’s really true? And so it always disguises itself in different ways, it comes through different means. We see it all the time. So, what I learned is what I already knew, and that is human nature does not change and if you don’t have the impact of religion to change a heart you will end up like the Nazis. These are guys who had no conscience and that comes from not fearing God.”

The Nazis were “pagans,” Barton claimed, and “you see what happens when you have a secular, God-free society — and that’s what Poland proves is the good stuff is Bible based, Jews and Christians, the bad stuff is secular pagan.”

roy moore #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Roy Moore, the chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, was a guest on Eagle Forum Live over the weekend, where he discussed the recent developments in marriage equality with Anne Cori, Phyllis Schlafly’s daughter.

Moore seemed to be thrown a little off guard when a listener called in and asked angrily why “people use the 14th Amendment to protect interracial marriage when the authors of the 14th Amendment were against interracial marriage.” (The Supreme Court has found bans on both same-sex and interracial marriages to be violations of the 14th Amendment.)

Cori interrupted the caller and asked Moore to instead address people who say “you have to agree with same-sex marriage because interracial marriage is okay.”

The difference, Moore said, is that the right to the “pursuit of happiness” found in the Declaration of Independence came from God and God supports interracial marriage but not same-sex marriage.

“I think people today would say that same-sex marriage is a pursuit of happiness,” Cori interjected.

“Well, they would say that, but that’s not the way the laws of God define the pursuit of happiness,” Moore responded. “And pursuit of happiness was given by God and recognized by the United States Supreme Court in 1967 in Loving v. Virginia.”

Of course, interracial marriage opponents at the time were quite certain that God opposed interracial marriage, which had lower levels of public support at the time Loving was decided than same-sex marriage does today.

Charles Jennings #racist rightwingwatch.org

Religious Right activist Dave Daubenmire has dedicated several recent episodes of his daily “Pass The Salt Live” webcast to attacking Jews while insisting that there is nothing anti-Semitic about doing so, and returned to the topic again today, this time with the assistance of pastor Charles Jennings of Truth in History Ministries.

Jennings told Daubenmire that Jews have always been “the enemies of Jesus Christ” and are behind the efforts to “de-Christianize” America today.

Judaism, Jennings said, is a “perversion” of the Mosaic Law because “of out Babylon they came with their oral law which they codified and called the Talmud. The sacred book of Judaism is not the Torah of the Old Testament, it’s the Talmud, it’s the filthy book of about 13 volumes published by some seamy publication.”

“Now we see who the enemies of Christ really were,” Jennings continued. “They were members of the Jewish religion, of mixed blood, mainly of Edomite/Canaanite blood. Now, who is against Christianity and Christ today? There’s a lot of Israelites that are against Christ, but the organized effort to de-Christianize our nation has come from mainly Jewish organizations — Who rises up and files a lawsuit against county X because they have a cross on the yard of the courthouse or a nativity scene? Who has perverted our culture more than these people that hated Jesus and hated the apostles? It’s the same crowd.”

John Guandolo #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

The far-right outlet WorldNetDaily ran a story today based on a Star-Tribune report about a Muslim convert from Georgia, Abdullah Rashid, who moved to Minneapolis last year in hopes of imposing Sharia law on the Somali-American community in the city’s Cedar-Riverside neighborhood. Local Muslim leaders, however, protested the man’s actions and reported him to the police, who said that Rashid is “being banned from a Cedar-Riverside property.”

WorldNetDaily news editor Leo Hohmann interviewed John Guandolo, an anti-Muslim activist who is now working to have the U.S. government designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, and asked why groups like the local chapter of the civil rights group Council on American-Islamic Relations would strongly condemn Rashid, since, in the view of Hohmann and Guandolo, CAIR is trying to impose Sharia law on America.

Guandolo claimed that CAIR, which he labeled as a Muslim Brotherhood organization, must be resisting Rashid’s efforts simply because he is a threat to their power, and urged the government to start “locking up” the Muslim-American group’s leaders:

The community leaders are opposing Abdullah Rashid for one singular reason: He is infringing on their power in the community, Guandolo said.

“The Muslim Brotherhood runs that community, and Rashid is an outsider. That’s what is going on,” he said. “Law enforcement needs to understand the threat before this situation deteriorates, and they should begin by locking up the terrorist leaders from Hamas doing business as CAIR for being terrorists, and Rashid for imposing foreign law on citizens of Minnesota.”

This wouldn’t be the first time that Guandolo, who was ousted from the FBI over a scandal, has demanded the arrest of Muslim-American activists.

In fact, Guandolo has also called for the imprisonment of Obama administration officials, the arrest of any church leader, journalist or politician who works with Muslim-American groups, and the closure of most mosques. He even believes that there is a terrorist conspiracy of Muslim hotel employees, convenience store clerks, gas station workers and that Al Qaeda is on the verge of taking over America.

His long trail of conspiracy theories, however, hasn’t prevented him from finding work training law enforcement officers on terrorism.

Kevin Swanson #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On his radio program last month, rabidly anti-LGBTQ pastor Kevin Swanson railed against the current remake of “Beauty and The Beast,” not only for featuring a gay character but also for supposedly promoting “inter-species breeding.”

Swanson said that the movie was an “insidious” effort to “homosexualize the next generation of eight and ten-year-old kids” and ensure that they are “indoctrinated into the homosexual lifestyle.”

“This is how revolutions take place,” he said. “You are in the middle of a cultural revolution in the United States of America. No, this is not the cultural revolution that Mao Tse-tung brought to China; this is a different kind of cultural revolution, but I’m going to say it’s just about as dangerous — though a bit more insidious.”

Even worse, Swanson said, the film is promoting inter-species breeding, which he said Hollywood has been pushing since the days of Star Trek.

“Christians, I don’t believe, can allow for this,” Swanson stated. “Humans are made in the image of God. Humans are assigned a spouse which happens to be a member of the opposite sex. Friends, God’s law forbids it — Christians should not allow for this, man. We cannot allow for humans to interbreed with other species. It’s just wrong, wrong, wrong. It’s confusion, it’s unnatural.”

“We are in some of the most radical, most anti-biblical, the most immoral, the most unethical, the most wicked sexual environment that the world has ever known, right now,” he warned.

Rick Wiles #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

End Times radio broadcaster Rick Wiles dedicated a good portion of his “Trunews” program last night to continuing his attack on President Trump for having launched U.S. airstrikes against Syria last week, placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Trump’s Jewish daughter and son-in-law.

Wiles, who was an ardent Trump supporter until the president directed strikes against a Syrian airbase, played a portion of a sermon he delivered to his congregation last Sunday in which he attacked Ivanka and Kushner for being Orthodox Jews and tools of “the deep state cabal in the White House.” Wiles claimed that the couple are devout followers of the late Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson and sought “the dead rabbi’s messianic blessings on Donald Trump’s election victory,” asserting that Ivanka even credited Schneerson for protecting her father for an assassination attempt.

After blasting Schneerson for “being a scholar of the blasphemous Talmud” and “an esteemed teacher and practitioner for Kabbala, Jewish mysticism, witchcraft,” Wiles warned that “this is the rabbi that Jared and Ivanka revere” and “this is who is whispering in Donald Trump’s ear, ‘Bomb Syria.'”

Wiles went on to compare Ivanka with the daughter of Herod who, in Matthew 14, convinced her father to behead John the Baptist.

“That’s who I think Ivanka Trump is,” Wiles said. “She’s a Kabbala practicing, evil woman whispering evil things in the ear of her father. She’s going to the grave site of an old dead Kabbala practitioner and getting spirits telling her what to do — We have to pray against witchcraft in high places, witchcraft that plans to kill millions of people. — [Ivanka and Jared] are cleaning out the White House to surround President Trump with their Kabbala practitioners, and the only advice he is going to get will be from people who are evil. And the church is letting this happen.”

Kevin Swanson #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Rabidly anti-LGBTQ pastor Kevin Swanson declared on his radio show last month that if a pastor has a child who is gay, the only proper response is for that pastor to resign.

Swanson was responding to an old article written by a former pastor who said that if his children are gay, he’ll love them and “will pray for God to protect them from the ignorance and hatred and violence that the world will throw at them, simply because of who they are.”

Predictably, that did not sit well with Swanson, who infamously declared that if his own son were gay, he’d cover himself in cow manure and wail lamentations.

The proper response from a pastor who has gay children, Swanson said, “is sackcloth and ashes, tearing of the clothes, crying out to God for mercy” and repenting “that there is something terribly wrong with our family” and “that there is something terribly wrong in me.”

Having a gay child is a sign that “there may be something very, very wrong with the pastor himself,” Swanson said, expressing disbelief that “a man who thinks there is a possibility his kids could come out gay [would not] then not turn to himself and see there to be something of a problem with himself.”

“As a pastor, if your children turn out to be sinners,” he stated, “if it turns out they abandoned the faith while they are in the household, accused of riot and unruly debauchery, et cetera, within the household, you need to resign as a pastor.”

Dave Daubenmire #racist rightwingwatch.org

Having created a bit of controversy by blaming Donald Trump’s Jewish advisers—specifically, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner—for last week’s airstrike on Syria, Religious Right activist Dave Daubenmire addressed the issue on his “Pass The Salt” webcast today.

Daubenmire spent a good portion of the program arguing that modern Jews are not the same as the Jewish people of the Old Testament because there has been so much intermarriage and dispersion over the generations that there is no longer such a thing as pure “bloodline Jews.”

As such, Daubenmire insisted that today’s Jews “are no longer God’s chosen people” and no longer have God’s blessing because they are “Christ-haters.”

“They’re not His chosen people,” he said. “Listen! We had better come to the realization as to who has this blessing fallen upon? Who? Is it upon those guys over [in Israel], those Christ-haters—I hate to even say it—the Christ-haters? The blessing of God is coming through those Christ-haters? Are you kidding me? That’s what we’re supposed to believe?”

“America is fighting Israel’s wars,” he continued. “And we’re doing it because why? Because those who bless Israel will be blessed. Well, we had better ask ourselves this question: Who is Israel? Are you talking about that piece of land? I don’t doubt something important is happening on that piece of land, but you’re telling me that those people there who hate Jesus are the ones that the world is being blessed through them? That doesn’t make sense to me.”

Michele Bachmann #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Bachmann: And I think the American people said, ‘enough,’ and I think they recognized that this was the last exit ramp for the country and if we were not going to see a political change, if Hillary Clinton was going to continue and double down on the policies of Barack Obama, I think people just saw no hope that the United States would return to a position of Judeo-Christian morality. But not even just that, it’s just, could we even be able to speak truth anymore? Can we even protect our children anymore?

Because we were in a situation where the president of the United States on his own just issued a sheet of paper and said, overnight, every single public school in the country would have to have the girls’ bathrooms open to the boys and the boys’ bathrooms open to the girls, and the girls’ shower rooms would be open and accessible to the boys because now, what we were told from the White House, is that when we look at our body in a shower, our body isn’t reality anymore, so we actually get to choose if we’re a boy, if we’re a girl, if we’re one of like 58 different whatevers that we decide we want to be that day. In other words, we were all told that we were forced to repeat a lie, not the truth, we didn’t even have the choice that we could repeat the truth anymore, we were all told that we were going to be enforced by the power of the federal government to repeat lies, and when you repeat lies, Romans 1 tells us, that’s when you fall into deception, God’s gives us over to our own delusion.

And so people have been in this very confusing period of: What are we allowed to say? Is it okay to say this? Can I not say that? And so people have been quiet and they restricted, they’ve censored their own speech because they didn’t know what the government was going to do to them. Meanwhile, their little 5-year-old girl could be vulnerable to a 17-year-old male walking in on their bathroom, or my 85-year-old mother could be at a public restroom and seven 18-year-old males could come in and she could be vulnerable to them.

Markell: Well, things have happened that aren’t very pleasant. They have happened.

Bachmann: Absolutely they have. And people said: ‘enough already!’ And we were given a reprieve. It isn’t that politics is our God. It isn’t that politics is necessarily the answer. But God has privileged us in this country that we get to be able to vote for the laws and the people we live under so people decided to take that vote. It was completely unprobable [sic]. I know it was a reprieve.

Bachmann: We know that [Trump’s election] just wasn’t in the natural. This was in the supernatural where God sovereignly, I believe, answered the prayers of believers beseeching him and he’s given us a reprieve. But a reprieve for what? For what? What are we going to do with this? Remember, over 50 years of destruction, destroying the foundations of this country, you don’t just turn that on a dime unless God again intervenes.

Jody Hice #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Republican Rep. Jody Hice of Georgia spoke yesterday at a “Congressional Pastors Briefing” in Washington, D.C., organized by Religious Right pseudo-historian David Barton, where he told the gathering of conservative Christian pastors that “this is our country.”

After celebrating Republican plans to repeal the Johnson Amendment, which prohibits tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, including houses of worship, from explicitly endorsing or opposing candidates for elected office, Hice told the pastors that God has given this country to Christians.

“If there is anything I want to leave you [with] today, it is a genuine, heartfelt thank you for just the deep awareness that we are in this thing together,” Hice said. “This is our country, it’s our turf and God has placed us here to be stewards at such a time as this and to stand in the gap.”

John Shorey #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Last week, End Times author John Shorey appeared on “The Jim Bakker Show” where he discussed his belief that former president Barack Obama is trying to undermine President Trump and create chaos throughout the country.

Shorey and Bakker pointed to a recent WorldNetDaily column claiming that Obama is directing a “shadow government” and “shadow White House” in Washington, D.C., where “Michelle Obama and [Valerie] Jarrett will strategize to topple Trump”—which is a bit difficult to believe seeing that the former president is currently taking a long vacation in French Polynesia following trips to Hawaii, Florida and the Virgin Islands.

Shorey and Bakker, however, were convinced that Obama is actually directing anti-Trump campaigns from his Washington residence.

“This is insane,” Shorey said. “It almost sounds like fiction.”

Shorey contended that “horrible leaders” like Obama are bent on “destroying this nation” and generating a “destruction of confidence” in Trump, which he said could lead to a “full-blown economic meltdown.”

“This is the kind of event that has to happen—and the globalists want it to happen, because the globalist agenda, the globalist economic solution, requires that America’s economy is brought to its knees,” he said.

Shorey went on to explain that “those who oppose Donald Trump” could “cause a crash” that ripples “around the world,” which would then allow Trump’s globalist critics to install a world government where they control the leadership.

This, he warned, could spur war with Russia: “If somehow they succeed in getting rid of Trump and the other side goes back into the White House, Putin knows where that’s going to bring them. And I believe that if something happens to Trump, we literally could see Russia do a pre-emptive [strike] against America.”

Michele Bachmann #fundie rightwingwatch.org

While speaking last week on the Last Days radio program “Understanding the Times with Jan Markell,” former GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann linked political advocacy on the left with the rise of the Antichrist.

Bachmann said that Donald Trump’s opponents, much like the people who built the Tower of Babel, are rebelling against God to bring about “the creation of a manmade, one-world system. And scripture tells us that in the End Times, that is what Antichrist will be, he will be a part of a one-world system.”

“There are people who reject Judeo-Christian truth and instead want to insert and usurp control of all of our lives with a global, economic and political government,” she said.

Jim Bakker #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Last week, televangelist Jim Bakker listed several “signs of the Last Days,” which he said includes not only people blaspheming God but also those who are “blaspheming a president who wants to do good.”

Bakker said that many people want have “blasphemed” Donald Trump, who Bakker described as a righteous man who wants to “help us not bring drugs into our country,” “stop murderers and rapists” and “literally to bring America back to a place where your kids can still walk the streets around your house at night.”

Scott Lively #fundie #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

Antisemitism is a plague on the earth, and this article will explain why, but we must first precisely define “Semite” to identify what “antisemitism” actually is. “Jew-hatred” is probably the most commonly accepted shorthand version, invoking a tragic and ugly historical reality in the western world. But the deeper meaning of “antisemitism” is profoundly spiritual and actually indicts many Torah-faithless Jews who unrighteously wield the term as weapon. Their power to smear others with the antisemite brush suppresses scrutiny and criticism of their beliefs and acts that defy God and defile His Creation. Their blatant abuse of that power is itself a form of antisemitism in that it breeds resentment and hostility in the society that all Jews must then suffer.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), for example, is a predominantly Jewish organization. At its founding in 1971, it’s target was hate groups like Nazis and the KKK, both strongly antisemitic by anyone’s definition. Understandably, it’s donor base is reportedly largely Jewish also. Like many Christians, I supported the SPLC goals in those days, perceiving that my Jewish spiritual cousins were acting upon shared Biblical values. Later, however, when the SPLC began to define opposition to homosexuality as hate, Bible believing Christians and Torah-believing Jews were equated with Nazis, and my ministry was libeled as a hate group, as was the group “Jews Offering New Alternatives to Homosexuality” (JONAH) which the SPLC successfully sued and shut down in liberal New Jersey.

Public awareness of its malign transformation grew slowly, but today the name SPLC is widely associated with the militant defense of homosexual sodomy and the rejection of God and sexual normalcy. The Christian majority, whose prior sympathy for the SPLC helped it amass its now legendary financial war-chest, is shocked that those resources are now being used to persecute those most faithful to the Torah truths that once defined us as co-stewards of America’s Judeo-Christian cultural consensus.

Worst and most destructive of all is the overt promotion of sexual perversion, the insane ultimate outworking of the fear-driven impulse to secularize society that, for example, the SPLC’s fundraising so skillfully exploits. Inexcusably, and inexplicably, that has become a defining cultural goal of many American Jews (and leftist Christians) in media, academia, government and the business world — I issue a challenge to the American Jewish community to stop ignoring the antisemitism coming from your own people. Stop funding the SPLC hate group. Stop using your enormous power and resources to undermine Biblical values. Start recognizing the extent to which your rejection of your own Torah’s guidance needlessly fosters resentment and hostility toward you.

You have greatly influenced the rise of secularism and its consequences. I invite you to help undo that damage through the mutual reestablishment of our Judeo-Christian moral heritage.

Mary Colbert #fundie rightwingwatch.org

It’s not that Donald Trump is all that perfect of a guy. We all know he’s not. And we know that he’s not necessarily perfect in every way that we would like. That’s not how God works. He works through the ones he chooses. We don’t choose them. All we have to do is recognize them and when you recognize a chosen one and you have the discernment to know that they’ve been chosen and know that that’s the will of God, then your life will be blessed. And if you come against the chosen one of God, you are bringing upon you and your children and your children’s children curses like you have never seen. It puts a holy fear in me.

Pat Robertson #wingnut #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

Today on “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson railed against a supposed “left-wing bias” in the media, the entertainment industry, and academia, lamenting that gays and lesbians have “infiltrated” such institutions and are now using them to dominate society.

“We have given the ground to a small minority,” he said. “You figure, lesbians, one percent of the population; homosexuals, two percent of the population. That’s all. That’s statistically all. But they have dominated—dominated the media, they’ve dominated the cultural shift and they have infiltrated the major universities. It’s just unbelievable what’s being done. A tiny, tiny minority makes a huge difference. The majority—it’s time it wakes up.”

Robertson shared that he is working with actor Kevin Sorbo on taking back the culture: “So what are you gonna do? Kevin Sorbo brought me some scripts so I just finished reading some scripts. I got one that I think would make a pretty good movie. I’m going to talk to Kevin to see what he thinks. We gotta make some more movies.”

American Pastors Network #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

A Reuters story about increasing political activism by the “religious left” since President Trump’s election annoyed some Religious Right pundits this week. On Thursday, the American Pastors Network’s Sam Rohrer, along with his guests Gary Dull and Dave Kistler, devoted their entire “Stand in the Gap” show to trashing the religious progressives highlighted in the Reuters story.

Rohrer was quite fond of his formulation that, unlike the Religious Right, the “religious left” is in fact “irreligiously wrong.” Rohrer and his co-hosts were not shy about judging the progressive religious activists as “false prophets” and “false teachers” that the Bible warns against.

Dull said that progressives deny the “authority of scripture” and a “biblical worldview” and he offered one possible explanation:

"I have found that a lot of the leaders and pastors, a lot of the pastors in this particular movement are ladies, and we believe as we look at the word of God in its true sense, that the word of God teaches us that ladies do not, well, they should not be in the pastorate.
Rohrer has previously said that having women in political leadership is a mark of God’s judgment upon a nation."

Kistler ticked off a list of issues motivating progressive activists—providing sanctuary for undocumented immigrants, protecting LGBTQ people, defending Obamacare, denouncing Trump’s proposed cuts in foreign aid—and decreed them “all leftist causes—that are very, very unbiblical in nature.” Kistler said flatly that it is not possible for a “Bible-believing Christian” or “genuine, true believer in Jesus Christ” to be part of the “religious left.”

The show really went off the rails when they began listing people, organizations and religious denominations that are part of the interfaith Shoulder to Shoulder campaign, which describes itself as “dedicated to ending anti-Muslim sentiment by strengthening the voice of freedom and peace.” The Shoulder to Shoulder steering committee includes a number of Jewish organizations, Protestant denominations, and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. But according to Rohrer,

"No one gets on that list unless they have agreed to the Islamic Quran piece of the equation that says that you cannot, that you cannot be a part of that unless you agree with a portion of the Quran which says that Jesus Christ is not God. That’s right. That Jesus is not the son of God. That is a requirement for getting on this list."

Kistler read part of the long list of participants and said,

"Sam this is unbelievable, that some of these what have been considered down through the years mainline denominations have actually signed onto a document in connection with the Islamic Society of North America denying that Jesus is the son of God."

Added Kistler, in what was most certainly the most accurate thing said during the nearly hour-long program, “Sam, it’s absolutely unbelievable.” The source for this unquestionably unbelievable claim is anti-Islam activist Mark Christian, who presented a webinar for APN last Friday called “Beheading the Church” on “how the church has compromised truth by forming unbiblical alliances with Islam.”

Bryan Fischer #fundie rightwingwatch.org

The mere fact that a bottom-rung judge would have the presumption to wrest that power from the president and arrogate it to himself is beyond disturbing. The only thing more disturbing is that we are letting him get away with it. It’s absurd that the only figure who is allowed to dictate immigration policy “by proclamation” is the one figure who has no authority whatsoever to do it.

It must not be forgotten that this toxic activism will not be confined to this renegade judge. Other minor-league judges will take note that one of their colleagues has taken control, all by himself, of a major area of American policy, is dictating policy to the president, and everybody is letting him get away with it. Some judges will certainly tell themselves that if Judge Watson can do it, what’s stopping me from doing the same thing in another area of public policy? The result will be total chaos, with an entire nation in the grip of ego-driven junior league judges routinely exceeding their authority and wresting complete control of American policy from our elected officials.

I, for one, do not welcome our new judicial overlords. And neither should President Trump. If the president were to ignore Judge Watson’s tyrannical edict, on the grounds that the judge has no more legal authority than a traffic court judge to issue it, what could Judge Watson do about it? If the president were simply to go straight on ahead and begin implementing his perfectly constitutional policy, what could Judge Watson do to stop him? Precisely nothing.

Upon taking office, President Trump quite pointedly hung a portrait of Andrew Jackson in the White House. Jackson is perhaps most noted for telling the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to take a hike when he issued an unconstitutional order. Jackson is reported to have said, “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”

This is the only way judicial tyranny is going to be broken in America. It will be broken by elected officials who fulfill their oaths of office to uphold and defend the Constitution by flatly refusing to knuckle under to black-robed oligarchs who tread where the Constitution forbids them to go. For elected officials to do this is not civil disobedience; it is constitutional obedience of the highest order.

Rick Joyner #racist rightwingwatch.org

In a video posted to his Facebook page yesterday, right-wing pastor Rick Joyner declared that the worst racism in America today is aimed at white people.

Joyner said that back in 1990, God showed him that “it was racism that empowered the spirit of death in the world and released death” and has been responsible for countless wars throughout human existence.

“Today, we’re getting all kinds of racisms, but that’s okay,” he bizarrely stated. “I think the worst racism that is manifesting today is minority racism toward especially white people, of which I am one and I’m happy about that.”

Lance Wallnau #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Earlier this month, right-wing preacher Lance Wallnau announced that he and his prayer warriors would be “fasting and praying so that the Lord will turn the tables” on those who are working to undermine President Trump. And apparently those prayers are already working, according to Wallnau, based on the statement from Republican Rep. Devin Nunes yesterday that some communications involving members of Trump’s transition team had been “incidentally collected” during legal U.S. government surveillance of foreign targets.

Nunes’ statement, of course, did not corroborate Trump’s claims.

In a video posted on his Facebook page last night, Wallnau misrepresented the facts of the matter while suggesting that it was no coincidence that this information was revealed in the wake of their prayer efforts.

Wallnau said that Trump “has had his legitimacy as a president constantly questioned and harassed by the principalities and powers that are operating through the media and what we call the deep state,” which he said are spreading “fake news” in order to delegitimize the president.

“Interesting,” Wallnau said, “after the fast and after we’ve been praying and after we’ve been talking about the Haman being hung on his own gallows, today news comes out that says that there was indeed an agency-wide sharing of names of individuals that never should have been revealed; who were somehow caught in the net of surveillance that was being done and put into documents that were leaked to the press so as to create the impression that Trump is under investigation and that he’s under surveillance and being wiretapped.”

“When Donald Trump goes and says what he’s reading in the news, he’s accused of being insane,” Wallnau stated. “It’s an interesting kind of witchcraft going on there. It’s just so obvious to me.”

Wayne Allyn Root #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Right-wing commentator, conspiracy theorist and Donald Trump–obsessed sycophant Wayne Allyn Root appeared on the Financial Survival Network last week, where he told host Kerry Lutz that President Trump should not worry about the 24 million people who could lose their health care if Republicans repeal Obamacare because those people are not Trump voters.

Root said that “nice guys get screwed over,” so Trump shouldn’t even bother trying to protect healthcare for these Americans if doing so will hurt him politically.

“Just ignore that and worry about the entire silent majority middle class that is losing their lives because of Obamacare,” he said. “The 24 million that are on it, guess what? None of them are voting for Trump anyway! Why would you care? They’re not voting for you. You’re never going to get their vote. Ignore them.”

Later, Root fumed that a judge in Hawaii had ruled against Trump’s revised travel ban, wondering “who gives a crap what some liberal Hawaiian thinks? They barely live in our country. A hundred years ago, Hawaii wasn’t even a state.”

Root recommended that Trump “get even” by announcing that he is going to “take all the Muslim refugees and ship them to Hawaii — Let all the Hawaiians enjoy the wonders of living around Muslim refugees.”

Rick Wiles #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

Rabid conspiracy theorist and End Times radio host Rick Wiles dedicated his “TruNews” radio program yesterday to delivering an extended warning that the government will soon dispatch an army of flesh-eating robots to devour uncooperative human beings.

Wiles and Steve Quayle, who is a frequent guest on his program, spent nearly two hours discussing the existence of giants, the prevalence of cannibalism and the looming Tribulation, with Wiles at one point warning that “the hatred of Christians will become so great in the Last Days that people will be encouraged to kill and eat them.”

To this end, Wiles cited a 2009 Wired magazine article that reported that a company was working on developing robots that could refuel themselves by ingesting biomass from the environment. Despite the fact that the company itself stated that the robots would rely on plant matter, Wiles remains convinced that they will in fact fuel themselves by feasting on human flesh.

“Our military is developing an army of human flesh-eating robots,” Wiles warned. “If you do not conform to the requirements of this new society, they’re going to send a robot to your house to eat you for lunch. That may sound extremely radical, but that’s where they’re taking it. They will reduce the human population. You will conform!”

Lance Wallnau #fundie #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

While streaming a video over Periscope last weekend, right-wing pastor Lance Wallnau received a message from a viewer saying that she needed prayers that would help deliver her son from homosexuality. That message prompted Wallnau to recall an incident he heard about recently in which a gay bar owner was supposedly delivered from his life of sin after eating a cake which had been prepared and prayed over by Christians.

As Wallnau told it, there were some “hookers” who used to hang out at a bar who were saved by a fellow patron who had found Christianity. Together, Wallnau said, these individuals “baked a cake for the owner of the bar, who was gay and very adamantly anti-Christian” and prayed over it that he would leave homosexuality.

“It was an anointed cake,” Wallnau said, “and they made the cake and gave it as a gift. And when he ate the cake — the power of God hit him.”

The “presence of God” fell upon the bar owner, Wallnau recounted, and he then got baptized, at which point “the spirit that was working him got broken off,” thus freeing him from his life of homosexuality.

Theodore Shoebat #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On Friday, extremist right-wing activist Theodore Shoebat posted a video on his website saying right-wing pundit Tomi Lahren is worthy of being executed for saying that she is pro-choice.

Shoebat attacked Lahren, who hosts a show on Glenn Beck’s The Blaze network, for supposedly supporting genocide, while also mocking Beck for being a member of a “racist cult called Mormonism.”

Shoebat, who has long despised Beck, asserted that Beck is a “racist” for believing that the Pilgrims who originally settled America were descendants of the lost tribe of Israel and declared that Lahren is also a racist who “believes in genocide” by supporting reproductive choice since, he insisted, Planned Parenthood’s main mission is to eliminate black people.

“This woman, Tomi Lahren, is a frickin’ little Nazi,” Shoebat said. “They’re all a bunch of sick-ass Nazi bastards. And this Tomi Lahren woman, let me tell you something, in an ideal society, saying this evil that she has said, it would be worthy of her being arrested, tried and executed.”

Tony Perkins and Mat Staver #fundie rightwingwatch.org

The Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins and Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver are among the anti-equality Religious Right leaders coming to the defense of the Trump administration, which has been under fire for naming officials from two anti-LGBTQ groups to an official US delegation at the United Nations.

As we reported last week, the Trump administration appointed representatives from C-Fam, formerly the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute, and the Heritage Foundation to the official US delegation to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Advocates for the human rights of LGBTQ people have criticized the appointments, noting among other things that C-Fam’s record of anti-gay extremism had led to its classification as an anti-LGBTQ hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Heritage Foundation plays a major role in promoting Religious Right resistance to legal recognition for LGBTQ people, including laws that protect them from discrimination on the job.

Staver’s statement, published on Friday, laughably claims that C-Fam and the Heritage Foundation are “thoughtful” groups that “do not demean people with whom they disagree.” In reality, C-Fam’s Austin Ruse continuously smears and demeans the people he disagrees with, portraying advocates for LGBTQ equality as “homofascists,” threats to children and families, enemies of freedom, and even Satan’s minions. Jim DeMint, the head of the Heritage Foundation, once said wants gay people barred from teaching in public schools.

Perkins says C-Fam and Heritage are “respected voices in the conservative movement who reflect the Trump administration’s values.” While that statement may be more accurate than Staver’s, it may also be even more disturbing for what it says about the hard-right values that are now being reflected in the Trump administration’s decisions.

Perkins goes on to dismiss the idea that the United Nations should be protecting the rights of vulnerable LGBTQ people:

"An even deeper problem is that these activists use the term “human rights” but have no clue what it means. The fact that the Left claims that “sexual orientation” and other terms are “human rights” isn’t rooted in anything higher than their own assertion. What gives them the right to define what it means? And why should their policy preference take preference? It doesn’t. Just because they cloak it as a “human right” won’t make it so. The only solution is to search for a standard common to all human beings as derived from a higher authority. Christians and conservatives are uniquely able to offer this. Thank goodness the Trump administration recognizes that and made sure they were represented at the U.N. in the first place."

C-Fam is so committed to resisting any recognition of the human rights of LGBTQ people in international agreements that it has teamed up with some of the world’s most repressive regimes in order to safeguard “traditional” notions of gender, family and marriage. C-Fam’s elevation by the Trump administration is the clearest signal yet that Trump will abandon the Obama administration’s crucial support for the human rights of LGBTQ people around the world.

Staver said C-Fam and Heritage “will come to the table genuinely seeking the best for women across the world.” That’s doubtful, given their support for the Trump administration’s drastic expansion of the “global gag rule,” which could have a devastating effect on public health measures and leave the world’s poorest women even more vulnerable.

E. W. Jackson #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Right-wing pastor E.W. Jackson dedicated his radio program on Friday to railing against the existence of “After School Satan” clubs, which are designed to serve as an ironic counter to the evangelical Good News clubs that operate in public schools.

Jackson, of course, was deeply opposed to allowing After School Satan clubs to meet in schools because he thinks that public schools should be teaching the Bible, prayer and Christianity as part of the standard curriculum.

“You know what we need?” he asked. “We need to bring prayer back into schools and we need to bring the Bible back into schools and we need to start telling children, like we used to in school, who made you—God. And have them singing, ‘Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.'”

Jackson insisted that requiring such instruction in public schools would not violate the First Amendment because he claimed that restrictions on the establishment of religion only applies to Congress. The problem, he said, is that local school districts easily cave whenever “some idiot ACLU nutcase comes along” and threatens to sue because “they hate God.”

“They hate God, they hate any mention of God, they hate any notion of God. They hate Christianity,” Jackson said. “What they want to do is completely sanitize the country of the presence, the acknowledgement, the respect for almighty God and the church and the synagogue or anything that represents the God of the Bible.”

Lance Wallnau #fundie rightwingwatch.org

“I’m claiming Milo in the name of Jesus for the Kingdom of God,” Wallnau declared. “Just like [Donald] Trump was an unlikely candidate for us as a deliverer in the presidency — God hid himself in Trump, I think God is hiding himself in Milo and I’m calling him out in Jesus’ name to salvation.”

“Red rover, red rover, call Milo over,” he continued. “The church doesn’t want people like him, but God wants him in the church. Father, we call for Milo in Jesus’ name. We call, Lord, that You will break every cycle of destruction, every spirit that is assigned to him to destroy, distort, to wound and to lock him up. We pray for shafts of light to come from heaven into his heart, divine encounters with the Gospel in unique and unusual ways, we pray for Jesus to be made manifest in his dreams.”

Wallnau said that Yiannopoulos will be part of an “army of millennial young prophets who will expose the enemy” and prophesied that “Milo is going to be doing campus revivals in the future.”

John Guandolo #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

Appearing on the “Stand In The Gap” radio program earlier this week, anti-Islam activist John Guandolo suggested that Trump administration adviser Sebastian Gorka may in fact be a radical Islamist plant.

Guandolo, a disgraced former FBI agent who now serves as a right-wing anti-Islam activist, was discussing a battle that he and other radical anti-Islam activists like Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are waging against Muslim activist Zuhdi Jasser, after Jasser labeled extremist activists like them “Alt-jihadists” who “support, empower, flaunt, and legitimize Islamist radicals and their leaders by branding all Muslims and all Islam as one and the same, and deeming us all to be enemies of freedom.”

Gorka, who is currently at the center of a separate controversy over his ties to a Nazi-affiliated group, was a well-known anti-Islam activist in his own right before being tapped to serve as a deputy assistant to President Trump. But now Guandolo is raising questions about Gorka’s loyalty because Gorka and Jasser spoke together at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last month.

When Gary Dull, one of the co-hosts of the “Stand In The Gap” program, asked Guandolo whether it was possible that both Jasser and Gorka could be “plants by the jihadists,” Guandolo said that it was quite likely that Jasser was running a stealth jihadi influence operation on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood or some other radical Islamic movement.

Guandolo then stated that when it comes to Gorka, he “has his own very significant national security problematic issues.”

“I don’t think that it’s out of the realm [of possibility] that there are deeper national security problems with him,” Guandolo said, “and I would love to see a deep analysis of his background and a deep analysis of exactly what’s behind what he’s doing. I think that your question opens up the door for more questions — There are a lot of questions about his background.”

Guandolo warned people not to be fooled by Gorka’s seemingly hard-line views about Islam because “it sounds good, but this is why information operations and propaganda work.”

Peter LaBarbera #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Anti-LGBTQ activist Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality joined Dave Daubenmire and other speakers at last weekend’s Wisconsin Christian News Ministry Expo and Conference, where he warned that the push for “equality” is satanic.

LaBarbera complained that the LGBTQ rights movement has hijacked the language, lamenting that experiences like “coming out of the closet” are now seen as occasions to be celebrated.

“What is it really?” he asked. “You’re coming into darkness. You’re embracing spiritual darkness as a personal identity, as who you are, and then you’re selling it to everybody you know. You’re doing Satan’s work in the name of light.”

This “powerful sin movement” has also hijacked the term “equality” so that now people regularly refer to “marriage equality” despite the fact, LaBarbera said, that same-sex marriage “is not marriage, it’s not equal.”

LaBarbera said that equality is just another term for “radical egalitarianism,” which is itself the “cultural Marxism” that has been at “the root of a lot of evil” like the crimes of Pol Pot in Cambodia.

“For some reason, homosexuality has become the issue for the left,” he said. “The issue. It’s satanic.”

Mani Erfan #fundie rightwingwatch.org

What am I fighting for? As a part of POTUS Shield, I have to always ask: what is my part in this? I’m an Iranian. I’m an American, I’m Iranian, but my calling has come, a two-fold calling. I know that at this time and this season, God’s last major mission effort, the last major wall that has to come down before the return of the Lord, is the wall of Islam. It has to crumble. It has to come down. This is part of the whole process of the return. This is the one last false religion that is raising itself as a standard against God, and has to crumble. It has to be completely broken down, like the walls of Communism had to come down, walls of Islam have to come down. This cannot be done in isolation. Nations have to join forces. Churches have to join forces. We have to understand the times and seasons we’re in. Islam, Islam has to crumble—I decree that, the walls of Islam have to come down [slams gavel]. I decree that the walls of Islam have to come down [slam]. I decree that the walls of Islam, the false religion of Islam, have to come down [slam].

[On satirical media depictions of him and Trump]

I don’t sit there and say stuff about you that isn’t true. I don’t say Alec Baldwin’s a child molester. I don’t say Jake Weber’s a child molester. I don’t say you’re working with Muslim terrorists. It’s not funny! But I know it’s how much you hate the American people, that’s who you really hate. You hate the liberty movement and you hate that we’re kicking your ass politically. And just like we’re kicking your ass politically, we’re just going sit back and let you try to start your race war, we’re just going to take it. And I am going to put my energy and all of my aggressive warlike energy into politically annihilating you.

I pray to God, on the altar of Jesus Christ, and the Father and the Holy Spirit to give me the strength and just to continue to have the hedge of protection of Providence. I know I don’t deserve this Providence but God knows I mean what I’m doing, so God, please, please, please, please open everybody’s eyes and raise up other leaders to defeat these people. I just want to see this scum defeated. They hate us so much. They are sickening filth. God they are the most dishonorable monsters the world has ever seen.

Gordon Klingenschmitt #fundie #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

On a recent episode of his “Pray In Jesus Name” program, Religious Right activist and former GOP state Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt called on Christians to boycott the upcoming “Beauty and the Beast” movie so as to prevent demonic spirits from using it to “recruit children into sin.”

Reacting to reports that there is a “gay moment” in the film, Klingenschmitt said he “[doesn’t] want to know about it” and recommended that Christian parents boycott this “homosexual children’s movie” in order to “avoid having their children recruited into the homosexual agenda.”

Disney and those involved in the production of this movie are being driven by demonic spirits to “intentionally [promote] sin to children,” he warned.

“There is destruction in the future of these people who cooperate with that evil,” Klingenschmitt said, as he prayed that God will “stop the recruiting of our children into the sinful lifestyle of homosexuality” and that Americans will finally “wake up and boycott the Disney corporation,” which he claimed has been “using money to fund the gay agenda for decades.”

Larry Klayman #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Right-wing attorney Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch posted a video over the weekend praising Attorney General Jeff Sessions for saying that he is open to naming a special counsel to investigate the actions of the Justice Department under President Obama.

Klayman vowed “to be in effect, a type of Hamburger Helper” for the Justice Department in this effort, working alongside Sessions to ensure that the “evil forces of the left” working in opposition to President Trump are destroyed and put in prison.

“I commend Attorney General Jeff Sessions,” Klayman said, “and I hope to work with him in this noble goal. This is just round one. It’s time that the evil forces of the left be legally destroyed. In this world that we live in today, it’s either them or us; the two of us cannot live side-by-side. One is going to have to go, legally, peacefully. But these people who are trying to destabilize the Trump presidency and not have this country be made great again, frankly, they need to be thrown in prison.”

Todd Starnes #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Fox News commentator Todd Starnes spoke at Liberty University last month, where he declared that God gave America a “second chance” with the election of Donald Trump and conservative Christians must now rise up and take this nation back.

“For the past eight years,” he said, “we’ve been told that we are the problem, that we are not a Christian nation, that we are not an exceptional nation. Our traditions and our values have been ridiculed and marginalized. We were mocked by Hollywood and dismissed by the academics, marginalized by the mainstream media. But all that changed on election day when a man who promised to defend religious liberty, a man who promised to make America great again became our president.”

“I believe that God saw fit to give our nation a second chance,” Starnes declared. “My fellow countrymen, we are surrounded, the cultural bullets are flying, the enemies of freedom are advancing and the time has come for all of us to stand resolute. You say, ‘Todd, I’m not a fighter.’ Well, there ain’t no such thing today, sonny, because we are freedom’s last line of defense! — It’s time for every gun-toting, Bible-clinging deplorable American to take a thunderous stand for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Wayne Allyn Root #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Right-wing commentator, conspiracy theorist and Donald Trump-obsessed sycophant Wayne Allyn Root recently declared that for business owners, the president is like a beautiful wife who “makes passionate love to you every day, seven days a week.”

Root made the comments during an appearance on The Mark Cox Show earlier this week, where he said that he never tried to start a business during Barack Obama’s presidency since, according to Root, the former president hated the business community. But now Root says that he has been hard at work raising millions of dollars to start new businesses and hire hundreds of people, all thanks to the love and support from Trump.

“There is only one thing that makes me happy and makes me open a business, makes me create jobs,” Root said, “and that is a president who appreciates business people, who doesn’t put us down, who doesn’t call us miserable names — And we have a guy now who I know loves and appreciates business men and women.”

“When you have a wife who makes passionate love to you every day, seven days a week, all men get up and smile [because] my wife’s going to make love to me,” he said. “When you have a wife who hates you and you sleep in opposite bedrooms, guess what? You wake up in a bad mood. So I’ve got a president who likes me now instead of one who hates me. Don’t you think it’s going to put me in a good mood and I’m going to want to hire people? Of course it does!”

Lou Engle #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Dominionist Lou Engle, taking part in multi-day Ohio gathering of the Religious Right group POTUS Shield called on Friday for God to “sweep away” Supreme Court justices and federal judges who would uphold Roe v. Wade, suggesting that God could do so by converting them or killing them.

POTUS Shield is an operation launched by self-proclaimed apostles and prophets, many affiliated with the New Apostolic Reformation, to pray for the Trump administration. The group is holding a multi-day prayer rally at Frank Amedia’s Touch Heaven Ministries Church in Canfield, Ohio, this week. Amedia was a prominent supporter of Donald Trump, who campaigned at a worship event alongside Amedia, and for a time served as the Trump campaign’s volunteer “liaison of Christian policy.” On Friday morning, Lou Engle took the microphone and began to talk about abortion and the federal courts.

Engle said that during a recent five-day fast, he had a dream about women gathering to hear the book of Esther taught. Someone in the dream said that there are two words in the book of Esther that mean “Nazgul,” which Engle stated is the name of “the Witch King” of the ringwraiths in the Lord of the Rings, the “most powerful being of darkness and death” who could be killed by no man, but who is defeated by the King’s daughter as she proclaimed, “I am no man.” Engle said the dream means that God is raising up an Esther movement of conservative women. “We decree it,” shouted Engle. “The voice of Esther is coming to take out the Nazgul, the principalities of witchcraft and death that demand bloodshed for the fueling of the agenda of darkness.”

“God sweep away the judges,” Engle prayed. “Sweep away the Nazgul, the Haman spirit of death. We decree, God, the sweeping of the Supreme Court.”

As we noted earlier this week, Engle called for a three-day Esther Fast to protect Trump from witchcraft; he said women around the world are praying for the reversal of Roe v. Wade and asking God, “pull down these Hamans, remove ‘em, either—” and there he stopped mid-sentence to make a point to those who might be squeamish about his rhetoric:

"I tell you, the church can’t be humanistic right now. I feel this in my spirit. We’re so concerned about these Hamans [the evil advisor to the king in the biblical book of Esther] that we’re not concerned about the millions of babies! I say that we believe that Donald Trump, President Trump, is a Jehu as well as a Cyrus. And I’ve been praying, ‘remove the house of Ahab.’"

In the Bible, God used Jehu to enact his judgment on the sinful house of Ahab, which Jehu accomplished by overseeing the slaughter of Ahab’s family, supporters, and priests. “We need to begin to pray to sweep away the House of Ahab,” Engle said.

“We declare that you are the God of the reversal of Haman’s decrees,” he said. “We declare the reversal of the decree of ’73, Roe v Wade — We declare the reversal of Roe v. Wade. The powers of Nazgul, witchcraft and death are being reversed now over this nation.”

Engle also referred to “The Last of the Giants,” a 1991 book by George Otis, Jr., which describes the history of that moment in terms of spiritual warfare between the church and demonic powers. Engle marveled that when God wanted to “shift and bring down” communism, “one Politboro member after another at that time just simply died—until God got his man Gorbachev.” Engle said another person had dreamed about “The Last of the Giants” and that God and told him, “You’ve been asking for three but I want you to ask for five” judges. “We said ‘Lord, sweep it away.’ Somehow it’s gotta be swept away, by a Sotomayor encounter, or they’re just gonna d—.”

It turns out that both Amedia and Engle have been praying specifically for Justice Sonia Sotomayor to have “an encounter with the living God” so “that she would see things from the mind of Christ, no longer from darkness, but from light, and that she would judge from light.” Engle, who said (wrongly) that Sotomayor’s name means “greater salvation,” prayed that God would “invade her with a dream” and return her to her Catholic roots. “Give us that soul, Lord,” he prayed.

At one point Engle said, “no one wants anybody to die” and that he prays that they get converted, but that when God starts to work he raises up kings and brings them down. Said Amedia, “He can haunt them in the middle of the night.” Amedia talked about his own dream, in which a broom went up one side of the Supreme Court and down the other, but this was not just a house-cleaning broom, but a broom “that brings destruction.”

“The Lord showed me the entire federal court system was getting shook and cleaned,” said Amedia, praising legislation designed to break up the 9th circuit–which he called a “fruitcake court”—and create a new circuit court whose judges Trump would get to appoint.

Amedia said there are 110 federal court vacancies on the federal courts, enough, Engle said, to create “the possibility of shifting the justice system for years.”

Herman Martir, who spoke earlier about his membership on an Asian American advisory panel for Trump, took over to lead prayer for God to “raise up righteous, godly judges.” Said Martir, “We’re legislating in the heavenlies.”

Engle ended the court session with a flourish:

"I want to stand with authority to declare the shifting of these judges, and the shifting of the federal judges of America. We declare it in the name of Jesus. We stand before the courtroom of heaven, presiding God in Canfield on earth, and around the throne in heaven. We stretch forth your rod and rule in the midst of your enemies. We decree a massive shift over the federal courts and the Supreme Court, in the name of Jesus, from the Supreme Court of heaven."

A heads up for you Trump resisters: It’s not just judges who Engle thinks are asking for God’s judgment. Engle had a warning for “those who are funding anarchy.” God is slow to anger, Engle said, but when His time comes, He will “seize the initiative.”

Cindy Jacobs #fundie #mammon rightwingwatch.org

Last month, “respected prophet” Cindy Jacobs preached at a church in New Jersey, where she prophesied that God wants Christians to be rich so that there will be a “great harvest” of Jewish conversions when they see their Christian neighbors becoming “profoundly wealthy.”

“What the Jews have, we have,” Jacobs proclaimed. “However, we have more when we’re in Christ because the Holy Spirit is inside us, empowering us to do the good works we’re called to do.”

“I want to say to you,” she continued, “that one of the things I believe that’s going to bring a great harvest of Jews is the Christians becoming so profoundly wealthy … that it’s going to make them jealous. The wealth and the riches that we’re able to obtain is going to make them jealous.”

“Do you think our poverty is going to make a Jew jealous?” she asked. “Come off it! No, we are meant to prosper. Why? Because they understand, in their culture, that obedience to God brings blessing.”

James David Manning #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Pastor James David Manning is a radically anti-gay preacher who initially loved Donald Trump—even meeting with him at Trump Tower and declaring that “Jesus would endorse Donald Trump”—but felt compelled to withdraw his support after Trump expressed support for the LGBTQ community following the deadly terrorist attack on the Pulse nightclub in Florida last year.

Manning has now completely turned on “Tribulation Trump,” as he calls him, and demonstrating that he can be as outrageously offensive when attacking women as when denouncing gay people, released a remarkably nasty and misogynistic video last week accusing Trump of having an affair with Kellyanne Conway after a photo emerged of Conway kneeling on a couch in the Oval Office.

Manning said that the photo of Conway “on the sofa, on her knees with her dress jacked up and her legs wide open” is proof that she is a “stringy-head slut” because no decent woman would sit that way while all the men in the room “are standing there getting erections.”

He said the photo “shows you the level of sexual demonic spirits” that are at work in the Trump White House.

“I don’t blame Kellyanne Conway for that,” Manning said. “I blame Tribulation Trump, because he’s a demon and obviously he’s having sex with her and she just probably feels like, ‘I can be like this around him because I think he likes me that way.'”

“This is the ugliest slut I’ve ever seen,” he said. “This is an ugly, stringy-head slut.”

Rick Wiles #fundie rightwingwatch.org

End Times radio broadcaster and unhinged conspiracy theorist Rick Wiles dedicated his radio program yesterday to warning that a secretive pedophile ring is working to destroy President Trump before he can expose their murderous global network.

Wiles said that Trump is “besieged by a slithering cabal of seditious snakes” who are attempting to carry out a coup against against him at the behest of the “perpetual war and pedophilia party that has ruled America since they assassinated John F. Kennedy in 1963.”

Wiles said that if Russia was responsible for leaking internal Clinton campaign emails, “then they deserve the highest citizenship award that this country can give anybody because they exposed the most vile, disgusting corruption I’ve seen in my lifetime.”

“It’s about pedophilia,” Wiles said:

"They’re fighting like cornered animals to prevent their pedophile network from being exposed. — It’s about the darkest, most disgusting, vilest corruption you can imagine. And if the American people ever find out the truth about their politicians and their celebrities in Hollywood and their TV idols and their favorite TV anchormen and women, and they find out all these great famous people and they find out that they’re just child molesters—not only molesters, but child murderers, sacrificing children to Satan. When they find out, they will drag their bloody carcasses down Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C., with meat hooks! They’ll have meat hooks in their carcasses."

David Barton #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Religious Right pseudo-historian David Barton delivered a presentation to a Tea Party group in Virginia over the weekend, where he stated that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s executive orders banning non-essential state travel to North Carolina and Mississippi are violations of the laws of nature.

Barton was making his standard argument that natural law was incorporated into the Constitution and so things like abortion and homosexuality can never be legalized when he took issue with Gov. Cuomo’s orders, which were responses to the passage of anti-LGBTQ laws in North Carolina and Mississippi.

As Barton explained it, barring non-essential state travel to those two states is a violation of the natural right to expatriation.

“Expatriation — is the right to move freely among herds,” Barton said. “If I’m with an elk herd and I’m tired of this group, then I’ll go over to that group and I’ll change and I have the right to move among herds and that’s why Article II in the Constitution gives us the right to move freely between the states.”

Cuomo’s executive orders, Barton said, “violate the rights of expatriation” because “I’ve got the right to move freely among all the states.”

“We’ve got a governor who says, ‘I don’t like what they’re doing, so you can’t go to those states’,” Barton said. “No, you can’t do that. That’s the right of expatriation.”

Barton’s argument is obviously nonsense, since the executive orders do not prohibit anyone from traveling anywhere they like, but rather simply ban non-essential “publicly funded or publicly sponsored travel” to these two states. In fact, by Barton’s logic, any employer not allowing any employee to use company funds to travel anywhere they want for any reason would be a violation the natural right to expatriation.

Ben Carson #racist rightwingwatch.org

Today, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson addressed department staff, where he delivered a speech full of vague, banal platitudes.

At one point, Carson described the dreams held by immigrants who came to America, where he eventually referred to slaves as “immigrants” who worked “even harder for less” but still had big dreams for this country.

“There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less, but they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land,” he said.

Lance Wallnau #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Earlier this week, right-wing preacher Lance Wallnau streamed a video on Periscope in which he claimed that the mistake in announcing the best picture winner at the Academy Awards last weekend was an example of God making the enemies of President Trump “look foolish.”

“A lot of us don’t watch the Academy Awards because it’s so irritating with the politics,” Wallnau said. “All night they’re bashing Trump, all night they set up this imaginary Donald Trump figure and beat him like a pinata. And then when it comes time for them to do the best picture, they screw it up, they have the wrong envelope. Hollywood evidently knows enough to lecture the president and the rest of the country on what the president’s policy should be, but they don’t know enough to find their own envelopes.”

“All night long they’re beating up on Donald Trump and the headlines the next day [are] how screwed up the Academy Awards was,” Wallnau continued. “I don’t know how long this grace is going to be on Donald Trump but, I’ll tell you what, there’s an anointing on that guy and God literally makes his enemies look foolish.”

Rick Saccone #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Pennsylvania Republican state Rep. Rick Saccone held a rally in Harrisburg earlier this week where he announced that he intends to run for the U.S. Senate against Democratic Sen. Bob Casey Jr. next year. Religious Right pseudo-historian David Barton and Sam Rohrer of the American Pastors Network joined Saccone at his rally, and yesterday Saccone appeared on Rohrer’s “Stand In The Gap” radio program where he explained that he is launching this bid for higher office because God wants Christians “who will rule with the fear of God in them to rule over us.”

In the radio interview, Saccone said that if Christians “don’t get involved in government, the government will get involved in you, and you won’t like the results. The government will run over you and you won’t have any say it. So Christians have to stand up and make sure that they have a say in their government and that they’re protecting their rights and our religious liberties which are being trampled on every day across this nation. If we don’t speak out, those liberties will be taken away. You can see it day after day, case after case.”

“God has set out a plan for us,” he continued. “He wants godly men and women in all aspects of life. He wants people who will rule with the fear of God in them to rule over us. And if they don’t, then the evil side will take over and the government will control and run over the good people and so they have to stand up, that’s just part of it. If you don’t have good people in government, then you’ll have bad people in government—and when bad people are reigning over us, the people will not be happy.”

Dave Daubenmire #fundie rightwingwatch.org

Religious Right activist Dave Daubenmire declared on his “Pass The Salt Live” webcast yesterday that he is smart enough to know that he’s not going to take advice from some “dude” like MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow who doesn’t even know that she’s “supposed to love a man.”

“I am some old corn poke,” Daubenmire declared. “I’ll match my degrees with yours. I’d love to get on there with that man/woman/man on MSNBC—Maddow—I’d love to get on there with that dude.”

“Hey, Rachel, are you listening?” he continued. “I’m supposed to take advice from you and you don’t even know that you’re supposed to love a man? You don’t even have that figured out and yet you’re supposed to give me advice about the world? You’re telling me that you’re on MSNBC and you’re giving advice to the world and you don’t even know who you’re supposed to love? Are you kidding me? You don’t even know how plumbing works?”

“You gotta be kidding me, right?” Daubenmire asked, incredulously. “You’re the smart one and I’m the dumb one?”

Linda Harvey #fundie rightwingwatch.org

America’s new education leader showed her true colors on morality last week.

She revealed that she’s a supporter of the destructive homosexual and gender confusion agenda. America needs to pray for a change of heart by Betsy DeVos, Trump’s newly confirmed secretary of education.

Unless DeVos moves away from defense of these unconscionable behaviors, she should resign from this position. Her school choice advocacy is laudable, but we need a leader who also supports sexual integrity for every child.

America doesn’t need a Department of Education anyway, but if it must exist, could it please not do harm to children? Could we at least not have a federal agency promoting sodomy to 11-year-olds in the guise of “civil rights” or “anti-bullying” programs? Or so-called “inclusive” sex education?

In fact, the false pro-“gay” messages schools broadcast to children resemble the grooming a pedophile does before molesting a child. When these deviant desires are positioned to children as normal and natural, vulnerable kids more readily accept same-sex seduction by an adult or older peer.

Is DeVos OK with setting children up for this? Many of today’s clueless educators are.

DeVos must believe these identities and behaviors are acceptable for children, and that boys invading girls’ showers is a “right” to be defended for some confused students. As such, she displays either woeful ignorance or jaded insensitivity.

Michael Savage #racist rightwingwatch.org

Vice President Mike Pence was the special guest today on Michael Savage’s radio show, where the far-right talk show host urged Pence to place strict limits on both legal and unlawful immigration before the U.S. turns into “a one-party state” like California.

Savage, a radical conspiracy theorist who frequently spoke with Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign and recently met with him at Mar-a-Lago, rejoiced that Trump is “talking about all the things that I’ve lived for all these years,” particularly the need—as he sees it—to crack down on immigration.

“Unless we stop the flood of massive numbers of new people who come into this country legally or illegally who almost always vote Democrat, we’ll never ever have a Republican administration,” Savage said. “It will be just like California, which is a one-party state. I truly believe that if I can send one message to yourself and the president, yeah, the security of the nation, sure, but it’s all connected to illegal immigration, I think you all know that by the way.”

Pence agreed that the administration knows this—indeed, Trump made a similar statement last year—and praised Savage for being “in the forefront of a call for decisive action in this country to end illegal immigration,” before vowing to “end illegal immigration once and for all.”

Alex Jones #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On Sunday, far-right radio host Alex Jones praised Donald Trump for his “idiot savant regular people skills” and “incredible mega-level charisma,” which is, Jones argues, “why every evil force out there hates Trump, because he’s good.”

Jones claimed that Trump is facing attacks from witches and devil-worshippers because of his closeness with God and his abhorrence of corruption.

The InfoWars network host then made the easily debunked assertion that Hillary Clinton hasn’t uttered the words “God bless America” in “decades,” claiming that Clinton only said it in a video message to the Democratic National Committee last week “because she must now be the counterfeit Christ.”

Gordon Klingenschmitt #fundie rightwingwatch.org

On his “Pray In Jesus Name” program this week, Religious Right activist Gordon Klingenschmitt said that the image created by artist Shepard Fairey of a Muslim woman wearing an American flag hijab is a “demonic image.”

Klingenschmitt was reacting to a recent protest against President Trump’s attempt to ban immigrants and refugees from several predominantly Muslim nations, which he claimed shows that liberals are willing to partner with “the devil” to oppose Trump.

“This image of this American woman wearing an American flag as a hijab is actually the opposite of what they’re trying to make you see,” Klingenschmitt said. “They’re showing this as if it’s the spirit of God, as if it’s the spirit of liberty because the American flag is a symbol of liberty and yet, I’m telling you, they’re showing a demonic image because the hijab is a symbol of slavery, not liberty.”

“You see the demonic alliance between the anti-Trump left and the anti-woman Islamists and they’re joining hands together,” he continued. “When they say, ‘The enemy of my enemy is my friend,’ what they’re saying is, ‘The devil is my friend.'”

E W. Jackson #conspiracy rightwingwatch.org

Religious Right preacher E.W. Jackson dedicated a good portion of his radio program yesterday to laying out his theory that men wearing earrings is the result of a liberal effort to emasculate black men.

Jackson asserted that in the 1980s, an “androgyny movement” emerged that sought to convince people that “the coolest thing was to be neither male nor female.” One of the ramifications of this effort, he claimed, is that there is now a “fad,” especially among black men, that “has come into vogue of men wearing these great big ol’ diamond earrings in both ears.” Jackson argued that this is a trend that is “emasculating men” and “denying men their masculinity.”

“I’m not saying that men who wear that kind of stuff are homosexual,” Jackson declared. “I just think that they don’t realize that they’ve gotten caught up in a movement and they don’t understand what the movement is really trying to achieve.”

Jackson asserted that the “androgyny movement” and modern efforts to combat “toxic masculinity” were started by racist white liberals in order to emasculate and feminize black men.

“I really believe that white liberals in particular are much more comfortable with effeminate black men,” he said. “I really believe that and I think that does go back to the myth of the hyper-animalistic sexual black male. Because I really believe that the real racism in America today is to be found in the precincts of white liberals because they really have decided they know what it means to be black better than black people know and if you meet their criteria, then you are okay. And if you do not, they’re going to do everything they can to destroy you. I’m a personal living witness of that. So I think they really don’t like black people unless they fit the mold that they have created for them, which, to me, is no different than slavery and Jim Crow.”

“I really believe that that stuff is primarily directed to black men that liberals want to emasculate because they don’t want them thinking for themselves, they don’t want them standing up for themselves, they don’t want them being themselves,” Jackson said. “They want them to fit the mold that the liberal ideology has prescribed for them. Now, folks, by any definition you want to create, that’s racist.”

Dan Schneider #fundie rightwingwatch.org

This morning, Dan Schneider of the American Conservative Union, which organizes CPAC, delivered a speech titled “The Alt Right Ain’t Right at All” in which he tried to claim that the Alt-Right has no place within the conservative movement because the term “Alt-Right” has been hijacked by “a hate-filled left wing fascist group” for the purpose of confusing people about what conservatism really represents.

“They stole the term specifically to confuse us,” Schneider stated. “They are anti-Semites, they are racists, they are sexists, they hate the Constitution, they hate free markets, they hate pluralism, they despise everything we believe in. They are not an extension of conservatism — They are nothing but garden variety left-wing fascists.”
