My son has struggled greatly with internet addiction. To all the filth it provides and the sleeplessness that brings!
He found ways to get around our filter subscriptions.
Even after taking his computer off line he found ways to sneak it on.
Being 20, we wanted him to take the responsibility to decide he wanted it to end.
God has answered our prayers today and given my son a great distaste for continuing with it.
My son asked us to take away the computer and end the temptations and access. He wants to return to the light and honor God !

Many years ago, before I came to the point in my walk where I am now(I will stand up for my belief.....but many years ago I was more concerned about what my family would think if I hadn't shown up). My brother and his wife were married by a witch(prietess)....they had the cauldron, the broom, the magic circle cast. I attended.....with my hubby, and for at least 6 months after we were under major spiritual attack. Tires slashed on a daily basis....windows breaking in on top of us in the middle of the night....screaming (a womans voice) in our home in the middle of the night.
We opened a door.....because we knew that what we were witnessing was sooooo wrong and soooooo against our Lord, and yet we condoned it by just being there.
i would think twice about attending any kind of 'mock' wedding.......I know that from personal experiences....that we never will again.

Teaching them about hell will not do trauma to a child; it is good if they are afraid. We should ALL be afraid! Athiest are pathetic people who dont want to be accountable to anything or anyone, so they force themselves to belive there is no God, when every fiber of their being is screaming out that there is a God. I disagree with the initial comment that all children go to heaven.
1 Cor 7:14 says that if a child has at least ONE believing parent, the child is holy. However, if both parents are non-believers, the child is "unclean."
Perhaps there is more to being a parent than we typically assume.

They loved it and spent hour apon hour "playing" with it, for years, even having friends over to experiment. Adults participated. I, by the Grace of God, was too scared to ever participate and was protected from it. My mother hated it and forbid us to "play". But the family and friends were not spared. Marriages were broken, jobs were lost, homosexuality and other sexual sins were rampant, physical and mental abuse became the norm. There were even two deaths in our neighborhood and some horrible accidents. The whole family fell apart, and I saw kids go from good to bad and families ripped apart in a short time span. I, to this day, blame it on that "toy" and so does my mother.

My experience is that Catholics seem to confuse religion with faith. They are so hung up on the traditions and teachings of their religion they have put their faith in them and forgotten, or never knew, the Bible.
Homosexuality is wrong. It is a sin. God says so. To push homosexuality people have to ignore that fact that homosexuality is a sin. They have to reject God. Freedom of religion is their right but our founding fathers that penned these rights also realized homosexuality was, and is, wrong. Homosexuals have to ignore the better judgment of our founding fathers and throw out family values. Even ignoring this, homosexuality is still indecent and immoral. To defend homosexuality you must reject decency and morality. If there is no sin, no God, no tradition of our founding fathers, no sexual decency and no sexual immorality, then how can anything be wrong? If it is acceptable to be a homosexual, then how can we condemn polygamy, pornography, sexual harassment, sexual language, bestiality or any other form of sexual behavior? Why do teenagers need majority capacity? They need it for long lasting, greatly significant or special things. If there is nothing special about sex, there is no sin or God, family values do not matter, the law is changed as with homosexuality, there is no morality or decency then there is really no need for majority capacity or an adult mind. After all they understand it well being trained in school. God said both are wrong. I agree. They should be compared together. If we just ignore someone practicing the sin of a homosexuality then what reason do we have not to ignore the sin of a someone have sex with a consenting and knowledgable minor?
I think maybe the worrying has to do with what they see as wars and stuff that are fought in the name of God. I wish they could understand how those wars are necessary. We may kill people but at least we've saved their souls!

Personally, I discourage imaginary friends. I just dont think it is a healthy practice and maybe I have watched too many movies . . . but that is how I feel about it. Personal conviction. I think that parents have to make their own choices to raise up their children in the way they should go . . if we cause one of these little ones to sin . . . We must teach our children at an early age what is right and wrong and what pleases the Lord.
I think sexual sin, as in adultery/homosexuality, would be the only reasons for divorce. Separation is required for physical abuse. But God was pretty specific on this subject. All other issues can be worked through. Just my .02.
I think it is interesting that some on this board just lump all homosexuals into one group. Not all 'gays' want rights, not all gays want to marry but some do want this. To have as normal of a life as any heterosexual. I'd like to have a family, kids, marriage and someone to love and love me. I know I can't because this is a sin. I wake every day wondering why I was cheated in this life but understand the rewards in heaven waiting for me. The worst aftermath of the great mysterious disappearance last nigh is the horrible wave of suicide attempts being made by thousands. They are those who have heard the message of His coming over and over again and have grown hard to its truth. Thousands of young people woke up this morning to find parents missing. When the full impact of the coming of Jesus dawned on them and when they realized they had thrown aside so many chances to repent and get ready - they became desperate. Remorse began driving them to seek a way out. Many have been driven completely out of their minds as they sit in their bedrooms sobbing - "I'm left behind - I'm left behind - There is no hope."
Yesterday at Wal-Mart, my husband and I were standing in line and a little boy walked by the magazine stand and got all excited when he saw a picture of Obama on a magazine. He was screaming and smiling, "Look Mommy, Barack Obama! Barack Obama!"
Of course, me being who I am, saw the magazine...which said "Hope for America" and said at the top of my voice...."The ONLY hope for America is Jesus!" Unfortunately, all I got were some blank stares...sigh.
