I will be having a chat with the head of ‘Character curriculum’ tomorrow. I have discovered the book being read in form time is not only about a black trans girl (bloke) but also written by a black non-binary trans (also bloke). . It is a book called ‘Pet.’
I mean of course, in Norfolk where son has one black child in their tutor group this stuff is so relevant. Appeals so much to teenage boys to hear all about the journey of a trans. Along with the toxic masculinity and pro- Islam stance I am starting to feel that there’s a teeny- weeny bit of a left wing agenda.
Really hope this teacher - also head of English - catches me in a nice calm mood so I can fully get my points across. He thinks he’s calling to ‘explain his choice’. Er let me take a big deep breath and I’ll tell HIM
