I think if everything we say offends women, then by femoid-logic, they would be offended that we call them "women." Female is offensive, yes, just like it says in the article. It reduces us to reproductive organisms, regardless of species.

Also; The recent upswing in wingnuttery in the world is likely mostly a few corrupt politicians and a bunch of useful idiots who are now more vocal about their bigotry!
I’m not saying there isn’t radicalization and bozos getting sucked in by propaganda (and this stuff IS something to be concerned about and address) but I do feel that what we’re seeing is mostly stuff that was already there but is now getting revealed.
Want proof? Look at our entertainment! Advertisers have turned to Social Justice stuff to advertise and movies with heroic female, non-white and LGBTQ leads are big blockbuster hits! The majority of people want a kinder, more egalitarian world!
Things only seem to go backwards because some people in charge are retrograde jerkasses and many average-schmoe bigots now feel they have a license to show their true colors.
Finally; Kids do stuff to be rebellious; Many young converts to junk like White Supremacy or IslamoFascist terror stuff are simply dupes looking for meaning while being “rebellious”. After all; Wild music no longer does it, “Hippie” stuff is more or less mainstream, Dressing weird will get you a “meh” from most….so kids do something genuinely outrageous, like joining the Shrieking-Austrian-Despot-of-Germany-Guy-With-A-Stupid-Moustache Fan Club.
