Aliens might be living among us, according to a study by Harvard academics called ‘The cryptoterrestrial hypothesis: A case for scientific openness to a concealed earthly explanation for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena’

Our article today, talking about something called ‘The Cryptoterrestrial Hypothesis’ which makes the case for space aliens living in the Earth, and/or possibly inside the Moon in an underground base is ‘wild and out there’ as far as this lost world is concerned, but your King James Bible knows all about it and has been talking about these things for the past 4,000 years.

“And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” Job 1:7 (KJB)

Your King James Bible is the wildest Book yet written, and talks of things that continue to inspire Hollywood filmmakers, even though they’d never give the credit to God for the great story ideas. Job is the oldest book in human history, and in that first book we read about space aliens in the Third Heaven, called the sons of God, and we see the LORD having a conversation with the prince of Hell, Satan, who says he is going to and fro in the Earth. Hell just happens to be in the ‘heart of the earth’. So in 2024, when scientists staring talking about aliens living in the earth or in the moon, they are about 6,000 years late to the conversation.

The “The cryptoterrestrial hypothesis” article seems to be a typical “We don’t know everything thus aliens must be taken seriously” article pointing to aliens with bases on Earth.
Taking that as a foundation to add bad interpretations of the King James Bible is just silly.

Even if it is a really dumb God of the Gaps, the absurd vastness of space compared to the universal speed limit means that (aside from panspermia) another technological and bizarrely elusive civilisation from Earth is still more plausible than extraterrestrials. Demons, on the other hand, as supernatural beings, are among the few claims even more extraordinary than viable interstellar travel.

Where the hell do you get the idea? It clearly belongs to the post-exilic genre of Wisdom Literature, with a Lovecraftian god and a non-Hebrew protagonist, written in a peculiar transition between Hebrew and Aramaic. It’s from the sixth century, about as old as Sappho, and not the oldest preserved book by a long shot. I mean, even from the fundamentalist viewpoint where we refuse to apply literary analysis on the Bible, the categorisation as a Book of Wisdom is traditional, and certainly, a book older than the Pentateuch would be noteworthy.

What you think Earth is: certainly via your KJV. A Dyson Sphere: such as that which messrs. Picard & Scotty encountered: also that created by the Forerunners which Master Chief & co encountered. An O’Neill Cylinder commanded by messrs. Sinclair/Sheridan: another ‘commanded’ by an AI with the voice of Lelouch Lamperouge.

Now, out of yours and the latter lot which is the less likely, Geoffrey Grindr…?!

…so you’d say that “Star Trek”, “Halo”, “Babylon 5″ and “The Girl Who Leapt Through Space” is purely speculative? Meanwhile, ISS. Perseverance. Chang’e VI. Artemis. ‘Speculative’ Fiction, you’d say?

What if the hypothesis had instead been that in various hidden places around the world there are portals to parallel worlds? And sometimes, things and beings come through them to our world. And some people from here have gone through some of those portals and seen what’s on the other side.

Mac Tonnies is not exactly a Harvard academic and his blog is not a peer reviewed scientific journal. More someone who believes in the paranormal and entertains sci-fi and transhumanism. It would be best to read on the Anthropic Principle. Then even if ETs existed somewhere in space/time, it doesn't validate a whole canon as "inerrant" because you can imagine that perhaps an ancient author's words are convenient to you to twist and entertain your fantasies. There's no evidence of ETs in the moon, crackpot.

Then, assuming that a particular Harvard academic promoted ufology and became a "hero" reference for UFO cultists, the personal opinions of scientists don't suddenly become valid, they must post in good relevant peer reviewed journals and may receive criticism, a scientist does not mean scientific consensus or verified information. The scientific method doesn't work with prophets.

For a second there I thought this was some inane conspiracy shit thinking the Men in Black was a documentary. But it’s even crazier than that, it seems…

Look, while the odds of extraterestrial life NOT existing in some form in the infinite cosmos are practically infinitesimal IMO, the chances of them actually having invented FTL technology and visiting us peacefully are slim indeed. Though not impossible.

Regardless, all of that it still VASTLY more likely to be than YEC Bible beliefs being factual… Hell, I’d say the chances of eldritch, world-destroying “gods” such as V’ger, Remina, Galactus, the Dreaming Ones, the Brethren Moons, and/or Unicron suddenly appearing over Earth tomorrow are still ASTRONOMICALLY more likely than YEC Bible beliefs being even remotely true(*). As the Catalyst says “Your belief is not required”.

Or as the enlightened Vulcans would say; “that is not logical”.

(*)That’s not just bias speaking, though I do admit that even a generic lovecraftian cosmic horror story is more agreeable to live in than whatever setting the Bible takes place in.
