Liberals typically don't understand the difference between fact and fiction, as well as results and intent.

In media, "the man who knew too little" is a popular trope since watching someone succeed despite ineptitude is amusing. In reality, idiots never prosper unless they are puppets. Idiots can't organize something for longer than a month on their own.

The typical Trump Derangement Syndrome perspective of Trump highlights this disconnect from reality. Questioning TDS victims results in a merry go round...

Trump Derangement Syndrome doesn’t exist nor is it a medical term. It’s a juvenile name calling they use to describe someone who disagrees with them as “mentally ill”.

Hardcore Trump supporters typically don't understand the difference between fact and fiction.

…in Finland, they avoid forest fires by raking forest grounds.

…wind turbines aren’t connected to batteries or capacitors, they power buildings directly. So if your home gets wind power, you only have power when it’s windy. And the noise causes cancer.

…non-white immigrants to the USA never left their old countries voluntarily, those other countries’ governments sent them to the USA to get rid of them.

Yeah, we think Trump is dumb. If you spend any amount of time listening to him and don't agree then you're either also dumb or blinded by your politics. He didn't really accomplish much. And he probably had other people handling most of the details of the business dealings that worked out. Also, he got ahead by cheating people. In any case, history shows you don't need to be smart to be a successful politician.

And no he's not evil because he's a "stupid pants" or an infantile moron (though he is that). He's evil because... how about we start with his family separation policy and child cages at the border. Then there's the fact that he's a white supremacist. He cheats people who do business for him out of money he owes them. He plans to try to cheat in the election and clearly wants to be a dictator. He has committed sexual assault. He lies all the time. Because he thinks image is more important than reality, he thought he could sweep covid under the rug and be done with it. And when hundreds of thousands of Americans die of it, he thinks using propaganda to convince us it's not that bad is the solution to the problem because to him the problem isn't that people are dying it's that people think he's a weak president. I could keep going!

He's not building the Wall, and Mexico told him to go fly a kite.
Courts keep telling him he cannot do things.
His staff keeps getting arrested.
He's broke. His campaign is broke. His campaign has lost money to nobody-knows-where.
He keeps repeating lies his own Justice department has disproven....

No liberal or reasonably intelligent person would accuse Trump of having a master plan. He often can’t keep to a plan for even a couple of days and has reversed course within a single day more then once. Qanon fanatics are the only ones that think Trump has a master plan.

Liberal: "He's an incompetent narcissist!"
Trumpster: "He accomplished the greatest economy ever."
Liberal: "Actually, there’s a lot of reason to believe that the Trump economy has a lot more to do with accomplishments under Obama than anything the administration has done."
Trumpster: "LOWEST LATINO UNEMPLOYMENT EVER WHY YOU THINK HE RACIST”
Liberal "He is racist, and is undermining our democracy."
Trumpster: "But... didn’t you say he was too incompetent to do anything?"
Liberal: "Those two aren’t mutually exclusive. He's evil!"
Trumpster: "He’s evil… because he’s actively trying to suppress and ultimately kill the people who disagree with him and by consequence me?"
Liberal: "Yeah! See?"
