Sure he murdered Gandhi but he didn't hit & run. He surrendered & faced the trial with heroic courage & left a very powerful testament as to why he murdered Gandhi. I CONDEMN the murder but I admire Godse's courage in facing the gallows, staying firm on his version of patriotism

It doesn't matter whether a murder was committed because of a "noble" reason like "patriotism" (in this case, the victim being know for not making his every other sentence some variant of "Kill all muslims."), or because of something like them witnessing you raping a child, murder is still a pathetic and disgusting crime which deserves complete condemnation by everyone with even the slightest sense of morality.

In a democracy as India was on 1948, assassination is never admissible nor heroic.

If I compare an assassin who murdered a guy whose entire deal is nonviolent resistance then faced his trial with no illusions as to the consequences of his actions or intentions to evade them (if that truly was the case, I'm not knowledgeable about this) to someone like Anders Breivik who fully expected to be vindicated and then rewarded by society for his murders and is genuinely horrified and outraged at being treated like a criminal rather than being deified and demands to be above the scope of moral judgment and beyond punishment or alternatively someone who intends to die for their actions either by their own hands or in a manufactured last stand specifically to avoid judgment at all then I suppose I could grudgingly say the former had a bare minimum of integrity to golf clap for. Grudging being the operative word. But only by comparison and I would never attempt to torture the definition of heroism to try and fit them. With that in mind the grain-of-sand of a point I just polished for you was probably completely disingenuous.
