I tried just responding to a post with showing a fake school sign advertising gender surgeries in school. I said there were no surgeries in schools but that schools did use students’ trans names without parental permission and that there were lawsuits about that. People did not believe me. They demanded my sources and then one called it fake news. I think so many people who support trans rights are totally clueless as to what is really going on

I know schools over here often do but:

1.This is Canada
2.It’s very much a good thing, as parents are not always supportive and outing a student to them could land the kid in hot water.

In the US it’s really a mess, wildly different rules by state and in some cases by school district. Some states require it, some refuse it, some allow it but still require legal name on paperwork, some of the worst require notifying the parents.
It’s likely above that people were reacting to the fake school sign. The author is intentionally mixing and matching fake and real information to provoke a response.

2) Stop posting lies to get attention.

3) It's quite ironic that you call trans allies "totally clueless" when you've obviously swallowed transphobic propaganda hook, line, and sinker.

I doubt that school boards are in the business of advocating such major surgeries.

I think so many people who ~~support~~ oppose trans rights are totally clueless as to what is really going on.
