You’re going to hear Democrats talk a lot about “common sense” gun control this week.
I think following the Constitution is pretty sensible myself.

There was a lot of common sense shown after Dunblane in 1996.
And as that was because of a Conservative government who realised that British people's - certainly that of their children's - right to live took priority over gun owners' ‘rights': thus guns were banned in Britain since then, I suggest you come over here and argue the toss to another Conservative PM after John Major - whose government was responsible for that anti-gun legislation - Bozo the Clown.
And as he is referred to as a ‘Terrific Guy' by none other than your precious Donald Fart, who is talking common sense as you would define it, eh Buboe…?!
Why has no Conservative government since Major's done the supposedly ‘sensible’ thing and repealed that law post-Dunblane…?!
The most sensible part of the constitution is the bit that allows us to change it when we need to. The framers knew didn't think that they were writing sacred scripture, you know. Personally, I think the 2nd amendment is poorly written, but you have to be pretty dumb to think it means all forms of gun regulation are prohibited. Now I actually don't want most guns made illegal. I just think there should be struct rules about where you're allowed to have them, who is allowed to have them (you ought to have to pass a test like for a driver's licence IMO) and stuff like that. Most liberals probably want more gun control than me, but very few here in the US at least, want to outlaw guns completely. If you think the 2nd amendment means you can carry your gun, any type of gun, literally anywhere without consequences, well, then *you're* the reason that guns will outlawed completely. You guys just keep pushing the limits to prove a point. But what you're proving is that some people shouldn't be allowed to have guns.
I’m sure that, even back in 1791, authorities had some regulations above a ban on slaves and free blacks having guns. For exemple, I bet that letting felons and lunatics going armed was not accepted.
I'm not even from your country and I've a far better grasp on and infinitely more respect for the principles of your Constitution than you! Case in point: You supported the continual undermining of your election, the attempted coup via murderous mob which need I remind you was ready to kill YOU and not just the people standing next to you like you were hoping, and right this goddamned minute you continue to care nothing for what voters want and will happily purge anyone you can't leverage to your agenda including anyone in your party who draws a line at the overt breaking of the law rather than settling for their expert abuse and selective enforcement of it, Out of loyalty to one man - a literal psychopath physically incapable of putting anything ahead of his own interests and indifferent to the fate of every single human life on this Earth so long as he thinks he can pack his bags and move in someplace he thinks he's owed a "favour" and he thinks everyone owes him something - over the very Constitution you just held up in front of you like a piece of soiled toilet paper on the end of a stick.
How about you put your "Liberty Dollars" or whatever scam currency I'll bet an actual legally backed dollar you buy into where your mouth is for once in your pathetic existence and start actually caring abou what your laws say rather than what you can get away with claiming they let you do.
Sure, but let that be only the type of guns which were available in 1791, i.e. flintlock muskets. There should be bans on military assault rifles, or else they will continue to be used by lunatics to conduct massacres.
Confused?
