"The distance between a human being and our nearest chimpanzee-like ancestors, common ancestors is much, much, much greater than the difference between a chimpanzee and a flower."

No, it is most definitively not. Seriously, how can anyone deny that humans are close kin to the other apes, considering how we look pretty much the same, share extraordinary intelligence including tool making and complex social structures, have almost identical genomes, etc.???
Canuckistani enginerd AvE loves him a good sticker. Here's one on the lid of his Hewlett-Packard laptop on the Green Bench of Healing in his Empire of Dirt:

Now, do you seriously think he would put such on there if what it said conflicted with his own Catholic beliefs...?!
Thanks for watching: keep your dick in a vice!
It's the best way to ensure you won't pollute the gene pool, OP.
AvE is the father of two kids: Dave 'Mad Aussie Sparky' Jones (he of EEVBlog fame) is the father of a son, Sagan.
And would AvE have a link to the YouTube channel of this other Dave: certainly show respect to him as a fellow YTer & tech geek if he knew that Dave - as in Jones - was a hardcore Atheist...?!
...because he does . Shocker, yeah, I know Dave-o. [/Doug Piranha-levels of sarcasm]
And this is based on your years of detailed, careful, and critical empirical research?
Or is it just goofy crap you made up because that’s the way you want it to be?
You only have to look down @ your own thumbs, to see how simian they are, like chimpanzees, gorillas, bonobos. That's my amateur opinion, but here's what an expert has to say about it.

You poor little flower!
"The distance between a human being and our nearest chimpanzee-like ancestors,”
OUR ancestors?
Um, that’s the distance between US and US. That’s us on the same side of the tree of life, the same branch, the same twig, the same leaf. How much fucking distance can there even BE between ourselves and ourselves-older?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
