Rev. Joel Webbon #fundie #wingnut peoplefor.org

Far-right pastor Joel Webbon is an unapologetic Christian nationalist and theocratic fascist who believes that the American people are too degenerate, stupid, and cowardly to abide by the Constitution and must therefore be governed by a Christian dictator[…]
Fully aware that promoting these sorts of views gets him labeled as a Nazi, Webbon appeared on "The J. Burden Show" last week[…]
"Why can't we have nice things in the west like tradition and nationalism and a love for our people?" Webbon asked. "Why can't we have America First? Why can't we have these kinds of things? And of course the answer is because of the Austrian painter with a funny mustache"

"Why can't we have those basic thoughts and beliefs?" he continued. "Because of an Austrian painter who might, depending on your World War II history, might have been a little overly zealous"

Saying that he doesn't necessarily feel that "Hitler has to be lionized," Webbon does think that Hitler "he needs to be humanized"[…]
"When we do history and we try to do it objectively, we have to take our emotions out of the equation and our personal biases and so I honestly I think it's just a matter of time," Webbon said[…]
Webbon claimed that it usually takes about two generations for a society to overcome the "personal biases" of the people who lived through an event in order to be "able to look at the past with more objectivity"

"I'm hopeful not for a Third Reich renaissance because I think there really were atrocities that I don't want to see repeated," Webbon said. "I'm not wanting to lionize Hitler or have some kind of Third Reich renaissance but I am very hopeful that we could get over Hitler; not obsess about him, but get over Hitler to where we're able to humanize him. Continue to name whatever was truly wicked but also be able to see there's probably some reasons why people are looking to Weimar Germany and seeing the parallels and these kinds of things"
