It is generally true that most homosexuals are not MAPs, and more than a few are Pete Buttigiegs and not monsters at all. In fact, a lot of gays are revolted by these freaks and actively and loudly reject the idea that they are part of the gay community.

Good for them! With that said, given that homosexual men are 10-11 times more likely to abuse children than straight men, it seems prudent to have policies that give substantial priority to married heterosexual couples over gays, especially gay men.

Sorry, guys, it's not personal. I don't think being gay makes you a sexual predator, but the reality is that the two are correlated. The vast majority of gays and straights are not paedos, of course. It's just that a disproportionate number of paedos are gay. With that said, due to the size of the two populations, the majority of sex offenders are still heterosexual. (Did I cover my rear with all that? Probably not.)
