Perhaps YOU have your brain between the legs and can't interact with people of your preferred sex without fatal sexual tension. But that is NOT the normal state in mature adults.

Define "need". I mean, no friend is strictly necessary. That does not mean that any given friend is not nice, and maybe even very useful, to have.
In the context of marriage specifically, an opposite-sex friend could be valuable if you want an outside opinion on issues in your relationship, or if there is an issue you want to discuss with your spouse but where you are not sure how to breach the subject.
And, while you already established that you don't believe in simple friendship with someone of the opposite sex, there still is the issue of friends with specialised expertise.

Conclusion:
Lillian The Postmodern Mom may be a nymphomanic sociopath and definitively is a sexist idiot.

I know that whenever I interact with a member of the opposite sex for more than ten minutes, I have a sudden and irresistible urge to fuck them. That’s why, if I every get married, I’ll wall myself off from all contact with anyone of the opposite sex. My partner will presumably love that.

If you think every man you talk to will inevitably want to have sex with you then I might suggest, ma’am, you get over yourself and maybe stop projecting your own libido and implicit lack of restraint or fidelity onto others. Or conversely your partner’s fears and insecurity. Either way cutting contact with half the human race for such a ludicrous reason is not exactly the act of someone of sound mind or stable emotional health.

Your alleged children are not going to have a very happy childhood, and it will be especially weird for them when you make assumptions about what they’re doing with any of their friends.

I've got such a ludicrously high sex drive I can't understand why anyone with compatible orientations would want to be just platonic friends. But I know that makes me the weird one.
