A final reason for opposition to homosexuality is the homosexual "lifestyle." While it is possible for male homosexuals to live lives of fidelity comparable to those of heterosexual males, it is usually not the case. While the typical lesbian has had fewer than ten "lovers," the typical male homosexual in America has had over 500. In general, neither homosexuals nor heterosexuals confront the fact that it is this male homosexual lifestyle, more than the specific homosexual act, that disturbs most people. This is probably why less attention is paid to female homosexuality. When male sexuality is not controlled, the consequences are considerably more destructive than when female sexuality is not controlled. Men rape. Women do not. Men, not women, engage in fetishes. Men are more frequently consumed by their sex drive, and wander from sex partner to sex partner. Men, not women, are sexually sadistic. The indiscriminate sex that characterizes much of male homosexual life represents the antithesis of Judaism's goal of elevating human life from the animal-like to the Godlike.

Deposed Deacon Puhalo, who masquerades as an “archbishop” with the blessing and implicit consent of the OCA <Orthodox Church in America> Synod, continues to spread heretical and false teaching, using the authority granted to him by the same Synod, to directly contradict the truth, the Scriptures, and the teaching of the Orthodox Church.

On October 26 on his Facebook page, Lazar Puhalo made several outrageous and categorically false statements about morality and virtue. Here’s a sampling of his latest non-Orthodox and non-Christian declarations:

“Morality is an evolutionary construct, it is not a product of religion.”

“Basic moral concepts are practised to one degree or another throughout the animal kingdom and not just among primates.”

“Moral concepts evolve the same as the organism that has and develops those concepts. The argument that we would not have morality without religion is simply fraudulent and completely untrue.”

“Both morality and concepts of virtue are evolutionary constructs”
<...>
Puhalo brazenly teaches falsehoods that undermine the truth and directly contradict the right theology and teaching of the Holy Orthodox Church. He has done so repeatedly in the past without any consequence from the OCA Synod. Many of his teaching are not only not Orthodox, they’re not even Christian!

Puhalo has a long history of scandalizing the Church and teaching falsehoods. How much worse does it have to get before the lukewarm bishops on the OCA Synod finally act and defrock this impostor?

We now are in the midst of a month where people are bragging about their sin. Can you imagine that? Bragging about their sin. Being proud of their sin.

What a terrible world we’re in now. People are proud of their sin. It is promoted by government. And eventually it’s going to be the law of the land. Not just that it’s their laws that that promote it, but that you cannot gain say it. You’ll be put into a mental asylum, or have drug therapy or put in prison. That’s going to happen.

And your children, I don’t know what you people are doing that are having your children go to public school. You must like be under a rock or something.

The things that your children are being told in public school that you have no control over are horrendous, horrible. They’re teaching people, they’re teaching your children, not just perverse things. They’re teaching your child a different salvation. That’s what it basically is. It’s demonic. It’s a different salvation.

There’s only one salvation. There is the Holy Trinity and we are to be one with the Holy Trinity. There is no other salvation.

But their salvation, the world salvation, which is mixed with perversity and with pride and with everything else, is that you redefine who you are as a human being. It’s absolutely demonic.

Pride month is the voice of the demons.
<...>
And that’s what’s happening. People are getting devoured left and right. Especially with all of the trans stuff which is completely redefining what a human being is.

A human being is made in the image of God, to know God. They’re not defined by their gender, or their sexuality, or anything else. The only thing that defines you is you are made in the image of God. That’s it. Nothing else.

Any other definition is of the demons. And that’s what’s happening in this world.

Now how are you going to inoculate yourself and your children against these things?

A century ago, the Russian people did not just wake up to an accidental Atheist takeover. Secular intellectuals had already infiltrated their schools, and when the universities changed, so did the minds and hearts of the people.

One of the first – if not the first – steps that we should take in building an Orthodox culture in any country, is the implementation and growth of Orthodox education. The universities in America (and in many other western nations) are geared against us and have many sophisticated arguments against the Christian worldview.
<...>
It’s not completely clear how this all began happening — how we lost traditional community and culture within America. There are theories of how it has all culminated, everything from serious error in our historical founding to the uncontrollable flux of immigration. But within the many theories is one underlying element of how humanity has always operated as a community, which many of us will agree that we need to correct: Education

America, from the beginning, established her education through her Church. But as secular influences grew, schools were given up to secular organizations. When Christian education began to disappear from America, no second revolution needed to happen, simply because Revolutionary America never intended to maintain a Christian culture. Russia, on the other hand, is a different story.
<...>
Orthodox Church has created distinctions. One historically important distinction is that of symphonia. This is such an important aspect of our Faith. Symphonia (symphony, in English) occurs when secular powers and ecclesiastical powers cooperate. Symphonia is the Church and the State working together. This is what the double-headed eagle represents: one eagle for the secular power and the other for the ecclesial power.

The secular power of society is not evil in and of itself. But it does gravitate toward evil (unlike the baptized soul, which gravitates toward heaven).

The bedrock of this civilization, and of Jewish life, has been the centrality and purity of family life. But the family is not a natural unit so much as it is a value that must be cultivated and protected. The Greeks assaulted the family in the name of beauty and Eros. The Marxists assaulted the family in the name of progress. And today, gay liberation assaults it in the name of compassion and equality. I understand why gays would do this. Life has been miserable for many of them. What I have not understood was why Jews or Christians would join the assault. I do now. They do not know what is at stake. At stake is our civilization.

It is very easy to forget what Judaism has wrought and what Christians have created in the West. But those who loathe this civilization never forget. The radical Stanford University faculty and students who recently chanted, "Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western civ has got to go," were referring to much more than their university's syllabus. And no one is chanting that song more forcefully than those who believe and advocate that sexual behavior doesn't play a role in building or eroding civilization. The acceptance of homosexuality as the equal of heterosexual marital love signifies the decline of Western civilization as surely as the rejection of homosexuality and other nonmarital sex made the creation of this civilization possible.
