ENTER: to go inside, go within

TAIN: to possess or hold,

MENT: mental; the state or condition caused by an action; a concrete result

In its deepest and purest definition, "entertainment" means the concrete result of allowing something to enter into your mind and take possession of you.

Let that meaning really soak in for a moment.

What are you allowing to ENTER and POSSESS you? The answer is simple: what are you listening to on the radio or on your playlist? What type of books or magazines are you reading on the regular? What type of movies and tv shows are you watching on television?

The answer to that reveals what you've allowed to occupy space in your life and mind.

If the answers promote sin, lust, fornication, adultery, robbing, stealing, murder, occultism, psychics or mediums: that's not of God. That's from the devil. He gets the glory.

And you've also allowed yourself and your mind to be inseminated with thoughts from devils. How exactly does that work for a child of God?

When the Bible warns us to 'neither give place to the devil' [Eph 4:16] it was talking about opening the door that allows Satan to enter our lives and pull us further away from God. Here's a simple rule of thumb to follow:

If it doesn't pull you closer to Jesus Christ, fails to honor God or His Word, goes against what you know is sound biblical morality: YOU SHOULDN'T BE WATCHING, READING OR LISTENING TO IT!

Continuing to do so just means you've allowed yourself to become captured by sin; which now makes you the devil's prisoner.

If you're a believer in Jesus Christ and you're having a struggle with sin: this is most likely the reason why. You've been entertaining sin. And that entertainment has now become chains in your soul.

But do not fret: Jesus Christ has the bolt-cutters to break those sinful chains and set you free!

If you'll really, genuinely turn your whole life over to Him, not only will He set you free from whatever sin you're addicted to: He will also give you an inner power greater than the power of that sin. So you can withstand it.

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." *1 Cor. 10:13

That scripture is a promise to you direct from God. You can overcome temptation. You can win the personal war against sin. All you need to do is entrust the entirety of your life to the One who gave His life for you.

And make a firm decision to stop entertaining sin. I pray you make that decision today.

Another aspect of the whole 'spirit husband/spirit wife' phenomenon that I've previously written about doesn't involve demonic spirits.

It involves witches and warlocks (male witches) who have mastered the ability to travel on the astral plane through astral projection, and enter into people's bedrooms while their victims are asleep. In such a vulnerable state the victim is subject to sexual, psychic and even physical assaults.

You might recall older folks who would talk about witches riding their backs at night. Or a hag sitting on their chest so they couldn't breathe. This is what they were referring to.

Many Christians scoff at or make light of witchcraft and occult power. They treat it as if it's not real or does not exist. Let me assure you that witchcraft and the occult are very real. And it can be used to bring much harm into the lives of those who are unaware or unprotected against such attacks. Including believers.

What leaves a believer vulnerable to attacks from demonic spirits and witches? SIN! Sin is the devil's legal right to bring destruction into your life. This is why sin must be acknowledged and confessed (not hidden) in order to prevent the enemies of the cross from bringing havoc into our existence.

"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." James 5:16

When a Christian is living right and keeping themselves on the path of righteousness, the devil has no legal grounds on which to successfully attack them. He can try, but he cannot succeed. The same goes for his agents.

"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you." James 4:7-10

So if you're a believer who likes to frequent bars and nightclubs: you're playing on dangerous ground. Those are demonic hangout spots - no matter how much you may have enjoyed going there for the drinks and music. And when you're in such an environment you make yourself subject to spiritual attacks.

We operate with the highest level of divine wisdom, protection and authority that exists: the kind that no witch or demon can successfully stand against nor resist.

But we do need to be aware of how our enemies operate.
