Its time for EACH STATE to have a County Electoral College so corrupt cities can't pull down the entire state.

...and so it begins.
As will it officially end on 12 midday 20th January 2021. Political power is temporary: But the Trumptards' Butthurt - like DOOM - is Eternal .
You are now officially 'thedonald.lose ': you are now more than forced to deal with it.
...what: and when County electoral colleges don't work out the way you want, what next: individual household votes? After that: individual person votes? Newsflash:
You had that last month: Q. E. and fucking D.
Because the US electoral system is not confusing and overcomplicated already…
But of course, the system bwing confusing and overcomplicated is exactly what the Republican Party wants, because it gives them more opportunities to manipulate elections and makes things less transparent.
And that “pull[ing] down the entire state” is only a thing because of first-over-the-goalpost voting. But of course, you love that because you want Republican-leaning counties to pull down the entire state.
Outside the major cities, there’s the common idea that people living in the big cities are all criminals or corrupt or at the very least have values alien to the “real Americans”, and thus cannot be trusted to vote “properly”, as the wise and worldly folk define and know the concept of “properly”.
The reality is horrendously complicated. The “wise and worldly” folk are often rather ignorant in areas outside their very narrow areas of expertise. Laws and regulations which such people believe would promote and empower family farms and small businesses usually do so in the short run, but in the long run serve as tools for big business to crush them underfoot and reap great profits in doing so. The laws and regulations which hobble big business in order to give others fair chance hurts small business as well, just to a lesser extent, but that looks and feels like oppression.
The unchained bigotry some would prefer gives insecurity to all for in exchange for the feeling of superiority for some, and mostly only exists at the level which it does due to the fact that fomenting bigotry can be very profitable. And while it very much feels like the rural/exurban (and sometimes suburban) areas are at the mercy of the distant, “ignorant” urbanites (and to be fair, a lot of urbanites don’t think much about things outside their own city) in some regions the reverse is more true (those who have never lived in a city have little concept of the realities said urbanites face).
There’s no good solutions at this point - only unsatisfactory compromises - and insuring a tyranny of a particular minority definitely won’t help.
Well, if they have it actually proportionately reflect the population of each county (which is something the current system does totally NOT do with respect to the population of states), I suspect the result of the election wouldn’t have changed all that much…but at that point, wouldn’t be a hell of a lot simpler just to go to a direct popular vote?
It would be kind of interesting to figure out what the result of a “county electoral college” would have been…but extremely tedious to actually do, lol

Because city people aren’t real humans. They’re illegals, environmentalists, protesters, or God forbid, black people.
Confused?
