After her performance today, that is quite clear.

If quoting Charlie Kirk is an insult to Charlie Kirk, then maybe the idea that he was not a saintly figure should be contemplated.

Kirk was a deliberate provocateur whose “debates” were rarely if ever on a level playing field. The quotes we mined are rarely divorced from context and often when you put them in context they aren’t that much better or often much worse. He was a professional and polished media figure who often “debated” people who weren’t prepping talking points well in advance, especially those unprepared or unaware of the Gish Gallop tactic. You would typically see his “victories” rarely the times he was caught off guard or he had his people edit things in his favor. He preyed on your desire to see your opponents crushed and humiliated and was thoroughly uninterested in the process of helping people weigh pros and cons and making informed decisions. You liked him because he fed your prejudices and made you feel good and better about yourself when he would “slay the monster.”

Nobody should experience violence for their speech. But Charlie Kirk had little in common with someone like Salman Rushdie beyond that people sought to harm them for their words.

YOUR FUCKING PRESIDENT USED HIS DEATH TO GO ON A RANT AGAINST ANYONE THAT DARES TO DISAGREE WITH HIM, if there’s anyone that tearing the notion of “unity” and “bringing down the temperature” its’ President Trump… and for that matter the Left, by and large were not the ones calling for civil war, the Right wing were, specifically the far-right, so go to hell with your hypocritical outrage when you fuckers don’t do that when your side of the alley say WORSE, since you bastards make it very clear you don’t give a shit about anything you say and using it to justify authoritarian bullshit.

You know, not everyone has to think that your martyr was a good guy when he was alive.
