I have often felt losing my beautiful daughter to the caricature of the “man” she has become is like losing her to death without being able to even have a funeral.. There is no safe place to mourn the loss - especially in CA where we live.. We’re expected to celebrate “his” bravery or we’d be called out as transphobes.

Oh my, how dare people call you names when you “mourn” a living person by declaring that you consider them dead and portray their continued existence not as living their own life but solely a continuous sleight against you. How rude and devoid of empathy to not affirm your preference for your family member to be dead.

You are by not loving your kid

So, a child not fitting your vision is as good as dead. Enjoy your estrangement…
